just to let any other people with the same problem know.
Two fixes, one costs money the other doesn't.
1st. change the resolution of your monitor to 800x600 and play the game with the same resolution, this will solve the selection problems though you might run into a few anyway.
2nd cost me about 60 bucks. Get a better GFX card. I have a Geforce 9800 now, and planning to move to a Geforce GTX 280 before the end of the year. Moving up solved ALL my selection problems, not to mention the game looks amazing. I seriously cannot wait to try out the GTX 280 and play all my fav 09-10 games. By far the best spent money I've done in some time.
I recommend the latter option, sure it might make a dent in your pocket but IMO and my wife's its a great investment, specially if you're a PC gamer.

An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest. I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
