Anyone else looking forward to this one?

I just hope they might bring back some of the feel that has been missing IMO since Underground

I doubt it, i think it's more like you win a race and then unlock a new car, both as a cop and "thug".

Those of us who don't mind reliving the good old days of NfS will love it. ah the memories!
Trust is a fragile thing. Once trust is lost, it can be impossible to recover. Those we're closest to can betray us,and total strangers can come to our rescue. In the end, most people decide to trust only themselves. It really is the simplest way to keep from getting burned.

well you have a little more than just racing as cop or "thug".
you also get missions where you have to get to a certain point within a given time range to build up reputation as a cop to climb up the ranking ladder as well and some of those races are damn hard without a trainer.

whats putting me off a bit though at the moment is that you can click to skip dialogs from film type sequences but the video bit still keeps running, so a restart of the match sometimes takes "forever" but i'm used to EA doing **** like that.

but as far as graphics and handling go it's one of the better NFS's so far

This NFS is the real deal. Going back to the originals.

I'm still going through the game modes so I can't say if it's a "one nighter" or a "long runner" but I must say it looks just great.

I'm running a mid-class laptop with not-so-new nVidia HW and on full specs it stays @ 50fps. The world and car details are on a high level and SFX are very nice too (just like the Burnout Unlimited).

As it has been said - if you like the original NFS titles you will love this one.

BTW did you know that in the first NFS the Viper would slow down on the 6th gear no matter what?

    Any way - happy gaming!
