    ok it's just easy to get them mixt up especially in a game because they look very similar

    lol wut?

    The AK47 and AK74U have such a major difference in them.
    AK47: full sized assault rifle, solid wooden stock.
    AK74U: Compact shorter barrel, Metal A frame stock.

    Anyone who cant spot that difference in game needs to get their eyes checked IMO

    The AK74u that is the model in the game, first came into use in 1979 over ten years after Black ops is based.

    The submachinegun "Spectre" or full model name "Spectre M4" was develope and put in use in the mid 1980's

    G11 Assault rifle was a prototype weapon developed during 1970's and 80's.

    The sniper rifle L96AW is the worst case since it was developed and put to use in 1997.. Long time after Black Ops

    PSG-1 - 1972
    FAMAS - 1978
    WA2000 - 1970's - 1980's
    SPAS-12 - 1979
    Grim Reaper (M202A1) - 1970 (possible)

    And now, Red dot or Aimpoint didn't come out til 1973, ofcourse blacks ops agents might have had some early access, but the designs for those used ingame are from the late 70's

    So all in all, very bad historical accuracy...

    Just read the first post. Yeah that kind of crap breaks immersion for me too.

    Also, hate to break it, but Infinity Ward left activision and no longer has rights to make call of duty games, however, they signed up with EA and formed a new studio, so good for them. Activision is the worst, just read what some of the crap their CEO spouts.

    +1 to that notion. The corporations don't care too much about facts like that, they just wanna make money.

    im sick of infailure ward and i will never buy another COD game with their name on it. Broken warfare 2 was a complete fake rippoff to me WTF. not only was it a complete port, it was all fake. generic weapon sounds and russians invaded, pfft, that will ever happen.

    With the fantastic work that InfinityWard put into MW I&II, wht would it be acceptable for Treyarch to have so many anachronisms in a game?

    ---> AK-74 in "the-sixties" ???
    ---> H&K G-11 in "the-sixties" ???
    ---> FAMAS in "the-sixties" ???
    ---> AUG in "the-sixties" ???

    I'm sure there is more, given the minimal amount of work done by "Treyarse's" research team .

    Why did they find this acceptable ?

    I for one will never buy another "Call of Duty" title unless InfinityWard is involved.

    What's wrong with that? All std. acronyms for those weapons.

    KNOW your weapons!
