I was browsing around on the Steam forums and man! do they hate cheaters.

    But why?

What's so bad about using cheats and trainers? Look, I NEVER even try using it when playing MP, what's the point? But banning people using cheats on their personal PC's is just madness.

I am a fully paid up life lime member of CHU and I will only use trainers once I've completed the game without any.

I'm afraid to download any trainers for my Steam Games, just now the Anti cheat Steam thing decides to lock my game or account and then I'm stuffed!

You can always use a program that strips Steam from the game and you play without it. Kind of like how FOSE works with Fallout 3 and the same with Oblivion as it also allows you to play without having to have the game disc in the tray as well.

    Tell me more please....

a Program that strips Steam... I must be dreaming.

Although the program you talk off does indeed help playing games you bought legit from steam, it can also be misused to play games you haven't. So best not mention it just incase

Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

Steam, to me, is the coolest client for games I have ever used in my life. Here's why:

    - No scratched discs or piled-high disc collections
    - Buy something from the store and immediately begin downloading it
    - Unlike retail versions, most games on Steam do not require CD keys to play the game. Plus, for some games, you can activate a digital copy with a retail CD key.
    - You can buy/receive extra copies of games and give them to your online friends
    - There are 30 million people who use this client

Just to stay on-topic, even though I am a person who loves Steam so much, I intend to play games on the single-player mode more often to avoid the cheaters and such. You get modders and hackers who create cracked versions of it, but the cracked games are more likely to fail, even with trainers.
Don't be too sharp, don't be too flat; just be natural.
