Drakensang: The River of Time Message Board  

Hey guys, just started playing this game and for some reason my character has stopped attacking. Just draws the sword and does nothing. Any insight on this would be helpful.

The combat system in this game is horrible. sometimes you char just stands around for a minute, starts the attack, gets interrupted, and then waits another minute...

It's not as bad with melee/ranged as it is with spells though, you can get chain-interrupted or get spell fails and literally stand around waiting for something to happen.

I was using a two-hander when I didn't have any points allocated in that skill. But yea it takes ages to attack at times especially for spells. But good game overall.

Yah, the game makes you wait until everyone who's fighting has taken a turn to either attack or defend. seeing that this series is based on a board game, I can see why they make everyone wait, but this is a video game, there should a way for people to attack faster based on their stats and weapons.
