Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 Discussion
Trainer Tools and Resources
Obviously the design team has fallen in love with the new Carbonite War droid, the number of times you have to defeat this mini-boss in the game is too many and I'm only at the part where I'm on the rebel ship "salvation". I must admit fighting the Gorog, was fun even if it was easy to defeat. I still think people are being overly harsh on this game. The first game was horrible for clipping in the graphics when you got in close fighting Rancors and AT-STs. I never seen any evidence of that in the new game. Sure the force powers are the same - but the mind trick is a nice cool addition and if you strategically use it in the right situations it can have a profound effect in some of the battles. Combat with dual-lightsabers - yes!!!! While the level design is very linear ( I guess that's why they did away with the onscreen map) I'm stilling having a blast kicking-ass with force powers.
Fedup of all those "semi-cinematics" which have you clicking, and having to do the same thing during bosses. And the "what the heck do I have to do" issues. Not to mention the utter lack of a proper in-depth story and reduced content.
The first unleashed game was insanely buggy, yet it shines compared to this piece of hurried rubbish.
Thanks for your thoughts about this game though. Always an excellent source when in doubt whether to buy or not to buy a game.

Lucas Arts also has a history rich with fantastic titles both in and out of the Star Wars universe. You act like they've only ever made games of this ilk.
Thats not what he said, he is pointing out there has been some SW horror's out there. And I agree, counting on a brand name to generate sales is not the way for Lucas Arts to go, which they have done only the last 2 years.
Some older SW titles were bad also. But FU1 and 2 were not as good as expected, and 2 is woefully short.
The only difficult thing about 2 is the Armored Mechs that freeze you and you dont get out quickly before being smashed and some jumping parts. Overall its easy, hell you don't need the trainer.
I hope LA don't expect huge sales for KOTOE next year, if they do they are in for one hell of a shock. And their MMO which looked so promising is starting to look less appealing due to FU2.
They should take note with Activision and the latest Star Trek games and MMO and how easily a brand can't save you from poor sales if you deliver rubbish.
