    this annoyed the hell out of me in Fallout 3 and they stupidly brought it back (without a toggle option) in New Vegas. Luckily it's an easy fix:

    File Location: My Documents\My Games\FalloutNV

    adding the following lines to FalloutPrefs.ini worked for me. I set the file to Read-Only afterward to prevent it from being overwritten.

    fForegroundMouseAccelBase=0
    fForegroundMouseAccelTop=0
    fForegroundMouseBase=0
    fForegroundMouseMult=0

    YOU MUST SET THE FILE AS READ-ONLY AFTER THE EDIT!!!!
    if you don't steam will erase your changes once you load the game.

    yup. i didn't even play the game last night because of it. Luckily now that it's fixed i can actually enjoy it.

    I'm kinda nervous about steam though. Since it kept rewriting the file, i have a bad feeling it's gonna screw up some modding potential.

    like that will actually do anything.

    Bethesda never added a toggle to F3, and obsidian is never going to add a toggle to FNV.

    So you just do this and your good.

    I used this when I first got the game and it worked beautifully but after the latest patch the mouse acceleration is back...any idea how to fix this?
