You need to go into your OS's security center and tell it to make an exception for the file. There might also be an option where it flagged it and you can tell it to "Allow on Device".

POWERMASTERnewvelaric posted on Sep 30, 2026 4:03:15 PMEr... The launcher seems to cause problems for me too. I put it in the root folder for AC8 and when I tried to launch the game through the special Launcher:
- My wifi was turn off until I had to manually turn it back on
- Now, the launcher has created a virtual CD-Drive and tries to launch at every windows startup. And whenever I try to launch it through the virtual CD-Drive, nothing happens and the launcher and its virtual driver disappears.
Anyone else with these issues? -

Not exactly these symptoms, but I did get the beeps, screen flashes, and it launched World of Warcraft Forever Beta 3 times on top of itself somehow. It's really very hacky and shady.His name is Robert Paulson. -

It disables internet ,starts EAC, then renables the internet adapter.
For better success, works everytime, I shutdown steam before running the launcher. -
ELITEsanjin posted on Sep 30, 2026 6:34:44 PMFor me everything works good. I was wondering if its possible to add one more "infinite special weapons". At mission 7 you unlock the ability to carry two SP weapons. Trainer gives unlimited ammo for one SP, that makes sense. Thank you so much.
Edit: I still get slight damage with options 1/2

TIER 7Pocket Infinity posted on Sep 30, 2026 7:24:39 PMJust so everyone is aware. The launcher beeps to let you know that it has done something. It first turns off your network adapters, launches the game, then turns the adapters back on. This is required to bypass EAC on game launch safely. Given the game's EAC situation, this is necessary. I thank the CH team for giving the launcher the beeps -
