BrandonCH21The more difficult the material you are mining or the longer it takes to break. The mining laser will produce heat, if you are over SP on your ship it will cause boosting and mining to overheat your ship even quicker.Dude, I need instructions or a video for this, I'm not a gamer so I need to know where to go and what material to mine to trigger the laser overheat.[quote2]

That is what I was trying to tell you. Early game play the easiest way to overheat is to simply mine minerals that spawn in clusters. That way you are running the mining laser as long as possible so you can get the heat to build up.

Where should I go and what material or cluster I should be mining to trigger the overheating? a video would be really helpful on this.

Yes, FTL Jump to Terminus sector and find any resource node that is yellow labelled, that will definitely build up heat.

Can I do this at the beginning of the game? if so then how?

THe over heating happens when your mining alot of materials that are in a cluster. From what I have seen the over heating appears to be different on different materials. For me that is is and it can be done during early game in the first system your in.
Sadly I can not do forums anymore due to my Autism as it causes me burnout.

The options no longer work. There was some small, barely noticeable update in the game, and now all the options don’t work in-game. Tested on two different setups. I hope Devil fixes it quickly
