I'm getting a consistent 'trainer cannot find game' error. I've tried restarting and enabling it at the main menu, enabling it -past- the main menu, with the same results.
I'm starting it through steam.
does the trainer version match the game version?
I submitted a request for a new option for this trainer (Max Faculty Points) and it was denied, and I'm not challenging that, but the reasoning was vague. One of the reasons listed was that I didn't include a savegame file, but that was impossible because the cheat would have applied at character creation, before a savegame could even be created.
So, what went wrong? Did I word the request badly? Did I screw something else up? Any light on the matter would be appreciated.
I worked on it with CH's Aurora AI. So, first of all, trying to add points manually doesn't work well, because the max points you can spend is capped at 4. If you try to add more, the game doesn't behave correctly, and the game screen freezes and becomes unresponsive — you'll have to force-close the game manually or through Steam.
The right way is not to modify the amount of skill points, but the value of one of the main skills (min 1, max 5). I changed the first main skill, "Faculty of Action", and found the address of that value. Once you freeze it, you can then remove points from that skill, which gives you extra points back to spend (still capped at 4 at a time). You can spend those extra points on the two other main skills, "Faculty of Relation" and "Faculty of Intellect". Once everything is maxed out (or set to whatever value you want), you change the value of your first main skill — still frozen — to match your remaining points.
To use the AI: start the trainer and the game, then activate the trainer. In game, press CTRL + ALT + C to open the CH overlay window, then choose "AI Assistant".

This is not an easy game to work with, I spent +2 hours to get the current trainer done.
