The new UI desperately needs the following features:
1: Off switch to completely disable the AI. I don't need it and I don't want it.
2: When I load the application it should remember my filter settings. I have it set to "favorites" but I have to reapply that option every single time I open the app as it instead defaults to "all trainers".
3: When loading a trainer I have used before, I should not have to click to acknowledge that I have read the special instructions every single time. Not all trainers have these, but the ones that do need to remember that you've clicked through them already.
4: The "help" tool-tips revealing basic features of the application need an off switch, or at the very least they need to go away on their own after a few seconds rather than staying onscreen until the user physically clicks the "got it" button to acknowledge them.
While I do find the above issues frustrating at the moment, the overall design and aesthetic of the new UI is quite sleek and nice. You all obviously put a lot of work into it, and I am hopeful the above issues can be addressed.
Each help tooltip does not appear again after you clicked on "got it". While this might be annoying for some users it was one of the biggest issues we had with A2, that people couldn't find or werent aware of many features.
Made a thread about this on launch day but figured I'd add it here since this is the official repository. Was really hoping you could add a shortcut back for CoSMOS or CoSMOS Advanced in the new Aurora. As of v3.0.5.0 CoSMOS is still missing.
I'm not entirely big on the AI ByteSight deal. It may be useful for some things but so far it's just been more annoying for me than useful. With CoSMOS, I know what I'm doing, how to find what I'm looking for quick and clean.
I get you want to jump the AI bandwagon while you can for marketing reasons, but please don't strip out features some like just to do it.
(The new AuroraAI UI is also a little bit rough around the edges, but that's a different issue.)
No its not that we want to jump on the AI bandwagon. It was the fact that we do have an advanced standalone version for people who know what they are doing. And we have users who never did this before, who are afraid of terms like value type. So we decided to simplify the inbuilt Cosmos and tell expert users to use the advanced version instead.
Hi CH. I've been a lifetime member a long time and also kickstarted aurora because I want to keep supporting your work, which I appreciate. I really wish there was some sort of minimal mode, even the old aurora felt a little much but this new one is just sort of overwhelming. It would be nice to have an minimal mode without promotional stuff and AI and scanning my computer for games trying to display the forums through a program.
Aurora seems to be using like 2-5% of my CPU and GPU at all times and half a gig of memory, despite no trainer being open. It's really a bummer.
I know it's probably unlikely to happen but I just wanted to check in and mention some of us still appreciate minimalism! Thanks for your work.
did you update Aurora?

I get where you're coming from. Maybe add something in the settings menu for Aurora where I can point the app to my install of CoSMOS Advanced and have it added as a shortcut?
At the moment I've just pinned CoSMOS to my overloaded taskbar of doom. It would just be cleaner if I could launch it from within Aurora like I used to.
