As a Front Mission game, I think this one totally tanked. Also for a square game; complete garbage. Square hasn't made a truly amazing game since they merged with Enix.

As a game itself, it's at least fun to play. Unfortunately, it's a lot like Armored Core, but lacking everything that made AC a good game/series. The story isn't very original (then again, what game now adays has an original story? lol) and the controls are kind of confining. I've actually played it several times through already, collecting all of the emblems, blowing up all of the sensors, and trying each play style (machine gun, shot gun, melee, rifle, etc). I've found a LOT of glitches and bugs. Kind of disappointing.

Don't waste your money on it. MechWarrior looks ten times better, I can't wait for it to come out. Or at least wait for this to end in the bargain bin, which is exactly where this is headed.

Squenix seriously needs to pull their collective heads from their arses...They keep 'trying new things' and failing horribly at it. Stick to what made them famous, I say.

This destroys the Front Missioh brand completely. Cheap story, shooting style, damn online. Everything.

Square-Enix is officially dead. Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Front Mission... they spoil all the legends. Someone got to stop them.

Hope they don't kill Saga, Tactics Ogre, Chrono Trigger.

Personally I think FME is a big disappointment, the story is mediocre, the voice acting is put to shame and well mech customization is lacking.

Multi-player was always going to suck, the frame rate is dropped a lot. Plus a lot of cheaters in the game but with that being said you get a lot of cheaters in other games.

Mostly all game reviewing companies reviewed have given it an average score or lower and I can't agree more on what they are saying. Meta critic gave it 65 which should say a lot.

For the price tag I would wait until its 25% of the original asking price or pick it up second hand on console if its cheaper than the first option.

I love the FM series but this game is not FM. Why do they continue to change the formula for games that work. Yes as others have stated this is complete monkey garbage.

kk Thanks for all the replies.

Yeah i think ill wait for a huge price drop to get it then.

When i saw the game in the coming soon on Steam i was happy as hell, then i saw it was a 3rd person n i was a lil ehhh, but it looked good. but owell..

Oh and according to Steam Double Helix Games Developed it not Square as they were the ones to publish it, so that may explain why it sucks, unless im mixing up the definitions of developer and publish..

    Thanks again.

Hmm, I was thinking of trying this game since I used to like playing MechWarrior alot but after reading some reviews and your posts, I think i'm going to hold off buying this game. Like the OP, it looked good but since all of you already played it and thought it was a major disappointment, I'll take your advice and hold off getting this on Steam

...yeah, I was so looking forward to this but since I got it and beat it 'within' a day... disappointing, very disappointing. Makes me wonder whatever happened to the people who made the great games and who replaced them with idiots who make this crap.

    >-< well let's hope Fallout vegas doesn't suck too bad I suppose and a bunch of the awaiting games.
My pointless drivel buffer will overload shortly.
