I am truly fond of both Grand Ages of Rome and Rise of Augustus but, the makers of the games made on serious error in my firm opinion. This was programming in a "rage of the gods," so to speal when you don't please them. This feature was not in Glory of the Roman Empire not was it in Imperium Romanium and it should not have been included in the two most recent additions of the game. It is extremely hard when you are struggling to destroy enemy villages and also to protect your own, to have the gods get angry and destroy a building. Especially if it is a barracks or Academy. They become angry even when there is three or more temples erected along with other religious buildings. I think it was a big mistake on the part of Kalypso to include this and I would write directly to them if I knew where to do this. Nothing happened like this in the real Rome. The gods never destroyed anything, simply put because they did not exist. These were pagan gods of the greeks and Romans and had no power to do anything. So why Kalypso choose to add this feature intot he game is beyound me. It makes it a lot less fun to play and I am losing interest in it because of this. If they just had to do this, the least they could have done was to take an example from Sierra and provide a way to shut off the god effects. There is no way to edit this as was the case with Caesar III so we cannot do it outselves, and I am very disappointed with Kalypso for their error.

This one is easy, you just have to build the pantheon and problem solved. The ancient romans atribute the earthquakes to the wrath of the gods for lack of better sciencie, and building to survive it became a norm.
