Ok, I followed the recommendation of running the trainer in compatibility mode. Now it's really acting strange. After a couple of turns of running the golden age cheat, the golden age is now in force for over 4 million turns. Too bad the game doesn't run that long.

I was also getting an odd result from the unlimited movement, in that certain directions would not work, using the numpad keys. And yes, I remapped the trainer so those keys are not in use. In the mean time, I've decided to take the "drastic" measure of running the trainer long enough to get the advances I want, then saving the game and shutting it all down, then restarting the game and using the last save. It sets me up with a decent advantage. And I don't get the conflicting stuff that's going on with the trainer.

Well, it did work at first. But stopped about 2500 policy points. Won't give me any more.

I've also noticed that the Policy Points option doesn't seem to work in this release.

In addition, does anyone else have an issue whenever you try and seize a city? Most of the time the game locks up completely.

I am also having the same problems Leto. Just save the game before seizing a city and you'll be fine. It also helps to wait a turn or two before seizing the same city that keeps locking up the game.
As for the policy points well I have no work around on that. I just end up not using it, meh.

Update yes, there is a work around for policy, horde as many as you can on your first turn. It will only work on your first turn. on 2nd turn there is no increase Leto. Make sure to go to advance option in the game setup to allow you Policy point saving, or you will not be able to continue on to the next turn without picking a policy. (the game will try to make you pick one even when you can't pick any. Just make sure to right click the policy icon to make it go away.)

There are some odd things happening with movement too. I'm not sure what combination of cheats it takes, but after a certain point, units will not move in certain directions. EVEN when using the M command and the mouse to get them to where ever it is you want to go. The last time I played, the directions corresponding to the Numpad 1 and numpad 9 keys would not work. Even when trying to use the M command, and pointing to a hex using the mouse, units would take a weird direction to get there, that did not require going up and right, or down and left. Any other direction worked, just not those 2.

Where you try to tell your unit to go to a hex space and the cursor ends up going red as if something blocking your way? Yea... I've had that happen to me too, after using unlimited movement too much. To help reduce this event from happening, you must use unlimited movement sparingly. Even with that, it's not a guarantee. When it does happen, I just restart the game and trainer. That always fixes the problem. Other than that good luck.

have you also tried to use enhance movement when that bug happens? If so, was the hex spaces still blocking your way?

Anyone else having any issues with the Super Unit or Damage Unit cheats? ...as in, they don't seem to do anything? When I attempt to use the Super Unit cheat, first hitting the Numpad / button, then clicking on the unit, then attacking...I've yet to see ANY increase in attack strength. They just attack as normal, then I turn the option off, shrug, and go back to playing. And Damage Unit process (as outlined in the txt file instructions) does nothing at all either.

Secondly, the Remove Unit Damage cheat has been responsible for several game crashes for me now. If I use it on a damaged unit, the damage meter down at the bottom of the screen does go away, but the graphic for the unit doesn't reset itself (as in, there are still individuals missing from the troop), and the graphic bar hovering over the unit still shows damage. That's not what crashes the game, though; if attacked again it acts as though it's fully healed, as if the cheat is working right (even spontaneously generating new troop graphics to fall over to replace the ones that should've been there), but if several enemies then gang up on it and kill it before my next turn, or if it gets killed at any point later on, then the game crashes to desktop. Also, if I attempt to upgrade the unit at any point after using the healing cheat on it, the game crashes. It's as if the mismatch between the unit graphic and the reported damage level (or lack of same) is blowing the game's little mind. x_x

I'm using the latest version, on Steam, with all DLC.

...am I the only one having this set of issues, or is it a known problem?
