I have tried all of the methods detailed in the thread about running the trainer with the DLCs installed, and I still can't get the trainer to work. The game just crashes to desktop.
This has only been a problem with the most recent "Shadow Broker" DLC. The Overlord DLC didn't so much as make the game twitch.
Will there be an updated trainer to take into account whatever has changed with the DLCs?

No, we do not update trainers specifically for DLCs. There are too many DLCs and combinations to even think about trying to support them all, especially as new patches come out.
