Well the good thing is that god saved many people from death, and that's what you should really look at and be happy over at. Other damages are inevitable, all the economies face losses. So what we shall pray for is stability.
Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.

Update: My area has just had a small tremor, estimate it at about a 3 - 4 on the reichter scale. Will update when I know more.

Updated update: the above mentioned tremor was actually 5.3, and was situated NE of where I am.

Man we're lucky, there could have been so many deaths in a quake that big.

The goverment were really quick to respond though, I dont think theres anything they did wrong.

At the moment I hear one of the the biggest problems is no one can sleep with all the aftershocks so people are on short fuses and trying to sort out huge problems there at the same time, the stress must be getting to some people.

That plus the breweries were hit and theres a shortage of beer for all those hard workers :/

Do you live in Christchurch? Yeah that's really lucky.

Heard that everything's back to normal, but people are warned of stronger aftershocks.
