Launch the trainer first, then launch the Game and then Press F1 at the Main Menu.
Listen for "Trainer Activated".
Press desired hotkey.

Notes

- Skip Open Door Sequence:
When opening a door wait until the door is shown in the sequence
press hotkey and it will skipped immediately. It is important you wait
for the door to be shown in the sequence before pressing hotkey else you
might get stuck and need to shut down the game!

- Inventory Editor:
Just open your character screen by pressing 'C' ingame and then make your
changes on the editor.

The trainer does not work on Vista or older.
