To skip an intermission, hold L + R and click both analog sticks.
Get money:
On the town map, move the skateboard over the garage and rotate the right analog stick ten times for 1000NY.
Easy way to get tons of money:
Look at your Schedule and look for special event ones. Next Day to it and then go check what kind of special event it is. If it's a "Drone only" event, enter it.
Equip your robot with automatic firing weapons, no missiles. These drones are very very easy to kill, and worth about 6 to 10k each.
