Also, I corrected a spelling error I caught myself. 09/22/2010: Corrected some more spelling errors I caught myself. I also, got rid of the FAQ Chapter, due to lack of interest (will put it back up if I get a lot of questions after this update). And added a note telling how to e-mail/Xbox message me reguarding how you can contact me (see what was Chapter 10 for info). Otherwise, I changed a few things for the main guide, nothing major. 09/27/2010: Added a new site to those who are using my FAQ yet again. 08/30/2011: Dang it's been a long time since I updated this. Anyway, made a few edits to this guide and made a major update about two achievements (tied really but still). ****************************************************************************** * Chapter 2: Intro * ****************************************************************************** Hey Guys, welcome to my Achievement guide. As you can tell from my user name, my name is Gamer364. This guide is designed to help all player playing this game unlock all the achievements (including the DLC Achievements (see Chapter 3 for more details)). The reason for this I'm doing this guide, is because I was looking around GameFAQs one time, looked under Lost Odyssey, and noticed their was no Achievement guide here. So I figured "Why not do a achievement guide for GameFAQs?". OK, I'll admit it: I have yet to unlock all of these achievements for this game, but that's not stopping me from doing this guide. I attempted to make a guide for other games as well, but something keeps poping up forcing me to give up on that instance. I know you guys probably don't like long Intros, so I'll get on with the guide already. Warring: This guide can and will contain spoillers. I will do my best to not spoill stuff from the game, but sometimes it just can not be helped, so read at your own risk. Note: This is my first guide I ever did, so go easy on me if I did something like make a spelling mistake and junk like that. ============================================================================== | Chapter 3: DLC for Lost Odyssey | ============================================================================== I read online their was some DLC for Lost Odyssey. There was the Pre-Order DLC, the three treasures DLC, and the Seeker of the Deep DLC. I will go into a bit of detail with only the Seeker of the Deep DLC. Apperently, the Seeker of the Deep DLC includes a new dungon for the heroes of this game to explore. And in that dungon their's excluesive items, new foes to face, and 6 Achievements worth 100 Gamerscore. The DLC runs at 400 Microsoft points. For more details on this and the other two DLCs, copy, paste, and look at sakurayule's DLC guide below. http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/file/928334/54192 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Chapter 4: Achievement Overview | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Achievement difficulty (on a scale of 1 through 5, 5 being the hardest): 4 Number of Achievements: 42 (with DLC) 36 without DLC Least amount of playthroughs it should take to get all Achievements: 1 Number of Missable Achievements: 1.5 (no error here folks, that .5 suspose to be their (see details below)) Time it should take to get all the gamerscore: About 100-130 hours (with DLC) About 85-120 without DLC Details: The game itself is not that hard, but the Achievements can be a pain in the neck to get. There is one achievement called "Treasure Trove" where you have get all items avaliable. While this sounds simple, it's really hard, because you need to search everywhere possible, leaving no stone left unturned. While this Achievement's hard to get, it is actually not a missable achievement. This achievement can still be obtained through the Aution Houses just in case you happend to miss items along the way (Mistwalker must have learned their lesson from Blue Dragon and decided to inclued these in here, though it won't help you with items you missed in returnable areas). The Treasure Trove achievement might as well be missable because of two spells (Shieldus and Barricadus). You have to unlock their treasure chest (or where ever they are hidden at) or at least buy them, or you won't get the Spell Collecter achievement. I don't believe if you don't open, ram or whatever you have to do to get them out, you won't get the Treasure Trove achievement anyway (thus, the .5 for missable achievements), so you might as well pick them up. Update: Treasure Trove can't be missed because of the Spell Collector achievement. You have to buy these spells and not find them. This doesn't change the fact that Treasure Trove is still techically missable, but I just thought I give you people who still read this a heads up. I knew about this a very long time ago (about 1 year) but I haven't really paid attention to this guide much lately. Five of the Achievements are really simple, you just need to go through the story, and they should unlock. The rest of the Achievements require a bit of elbow grease on your part. ****************************************************************************** **Chapter 5: Lost Odyssey's Already shown Achievements and How to unlock them* ****************************************************************************** A. Survived Gamerscore: 125 Achievement Description: Complete Disc 1 Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be done in Disc 1 Guide: Refer to Disc Four. You'll get this achievement when you beat Obsidian Miasma and rescue Mack. B. Out to Sea Gamerscore: 125 Achievement Description: Complete Disc 2 Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be done in Disc 2 Guide: Refer to Disc Four. You'll get this achievement when you escape the collapsing Experimental Staff. C. Surfacing Gamerscore: 125 Achievement Description: Complete Disc 3 Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be done in Disc 3 Guide: Refer to Disc Four. You'll get this achievement when you beat the Ice Magic Beast. D. The End Gamerscore: 125 Achievement Description: Complete Disc 4 Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be done in Disc 4 Guide: These 4 achievements are Story Related, so it's impossible to not unlock them. You'll get this achievement when you beat the Game's Final boss and watch the end credits. If for some reason you are having trouble, Split Infinity wrote a good guide to help you through it. Here's the link below: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/file/928334/51920 Note: The FAQ link shown above assumes your playing the PAL version of the game (but it should still apply to all Lost Odyssey players) E. Skill Linker Gamerscore: 30 Achievement Description: Make an immortal learn a skill from a mortal using Skill Link Can it be done at any time: Yes Earliest Done: Disc 1 (after reciving Jensen as an ally) Guide: Really simple. You just need just need to skill link with an ally and earn enough SP to learn the skill. There is a catch to this achievement: The immortal learning a skill (like Kaim) and the mortal whos skill is being learned by the immortal (like Jansen) have to be in the battle in the same time for the immortal to recieve SP for a skill he/she is learing (like Steal). F. Skill Master Kaim Gamerscore: 20 Achievement Description: Master all of Kaim's skills. Can it be done at any time: Yes and No (don't ask) Earliest Done: Disc 4 Guide: Kaim and the other 3 Immortals need to master everything from mortal skills (Skill link), and accesory skills. You will also need to collect 99 seeds for the final accesory and its skill. There are 165 for the immortals to learn in all. You can unlock the Skill Master Immortal Achievements at anytime, but you can only unlock them in Disc Four. F. The Dreamer Wakes Gamerscore: 20 Achievement Description: Unlock the first episode from A Thousand Years of Dreams. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Automaticly Unlocks in Disc 1 Guide: Story related, so it's impossible to miss. You don't have to view it, just unlock it. F. Big Dreamer Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: View all the episodes from A Thousand Years of Dreams. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to Be unlocked in Disc 4 Guide: Same idea as The Dreamer Wakes, except for two things: 1. It's not story related 2. You have to view all the episodes, not just unlock it. The Good news is: Most of them will automaticly unlock. The Bad news: You have to find a few of them yourself. If you need help finding them, you can look at gazza05's guide titled "A Thousand Years of Dreams" for their locations. http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/file/928334/53503 G. Treasure Trove Gamerscore: 20 Achievement Description: Obtain all Treasure Box items in the field. The items you missed may be available at auction houses. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to Be unlocked in Disc 4 Guide: As I said in the details in the pervious chapter, this achievement is as hard as heck. I have Good news and Bad news as far as this achievement. The Bad news: if you miss an item you have to get (via opening treasure chests , raming trees, completing treasure hunts, etc.), then you have to go back and find out what where you forgot to search at, and get it, or start again with New Game+. The good news: You can get away with skipping the the following areas and still earn this achievement: Disc 1: Highlands of whol Sea of Baus Disc 2: Experimental Staff Disc 3: Khent Ghotza (well, some parts of it, anyway) Aurora-Bound Train Uhra Sewers Disc 4: Outside Numara, Sea Battle Grand Staff Parts 1 & 2 If you are still having trouble, use the guide mentioned in the "The End" Achievement. Again, Spell Collector does not affect this achievement in anyway despite what the warring said (which was now removed). H. Perfect Three Gamerscore: 30 Achievement Description: Achieve Perfect three consecutive times in battle. Can it be done at any time: Yes Earliest Done: Disc 1 (Very begining of the game (forgot the location)) Guide: This Achievement is really tricky. You have to get it so you end up hitting Perfect three times in a row with the ring target system. I see this achievement as a luck based achievement, because you need a truck load of that, and good timing to score three Perfects in a row. You will get this eventually, but I would suggest getting this out of the way in the begining of the game, that way you don't have to worry about it later on. The good news about this is that if for some reason you game over anytime after you get three in a row, the game still knows you got three in a row, and gives you the achievement anyway. Looks like the Auction Houses that are in place for the Treasure Trove achievement isn't the only nice MistWalker did for us. I. No One's This Perfect Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: Achieve Perfect a total of 5000 times in battle. Can it be done at any time: Yes Earliest Done: Disc 3 (unsure about Discs 1 or 2) Guide: Same idea as Perfect Three, but it can be done over time and it doesn't have to be strung together. Just go through the game, and you'll eventually get this achievement. J. Thanks a Million Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: Inflict a total of more than 1,000,000 damage points. Can it be done at any time: Yes Earliest Done: Disc 4 (unsure about Discs 2 or 3) Guide: You just need to inflict at least 1,000,000 points worth of damage in battle. Don't worry folks, it doesn't have to be in one battle. Any and all Perfects you get in battle will speed up the process. K. True Warrior Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: Defeat 1000 enemies in battle. Can it be done at any time: Yes Earliest Done: Disc 4 (unsure about Disc 3) Guide: Again, this achievement doesn't have to be in one battle. Really simple and comes over time, you just need to beat 1000 enemies that stand in you way. I'm not sure if groups of foes count as one foe, or if all foes are seperate, reguardless of the fact that they are grouped with other foes. If for some reason you don't have 1000 foes in by the time you are allowed to go to other areas, you can always go back to earilier areas and grind the rest off. L. Well Traveled Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: Visit all fields in the world. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be done in Disc 4 Guide: For this one, you need to travel to every field out there. I'm not sure if the DLC dungon counts as an area you have to vist or not. Anyway, if there's an area you have yet to travel, it'll be indecated by a glowing spot. If for some reason you can't to an area you want to go, you either need to fly there, or go under water and head over there. M. Light Class Master Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: Meet the secret requriement of the Backyard Light Class battle set and win. Achievement Translation: 3 star all 5 battle sets for this Class Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be done in Disc 4 Guide: To even access the Backyard, you need to get to Gohtza in Disc 4, because inside of that palce is where you need to go. It'll be in an abandoned apartment, and after you operate the elevator, you can simply select "Backyard" from the menu. After that, you just need to 3 star all 5 battle sets for each class. Here are the 5 requirements for this class: 1. See/Survive the Kelolon Combination Attack at least three times 2. Defeating all of them 3. At least 6 bugs have to be absorbed by other bugs (three times each) 4. Defeat 5 Dogs 5. Defeat the Puppet Master within at least 10 turns without killing the puppets themselfs Update: I decided to give you the link for the Backyard FAQ writen by sakurayule, instead of coming up with my own plan attacks for this, and the other Backyard Master achievements. I haven't played too much Lost Odyssey lately, and I'm not sure if I'm going to go all the way to the Backyard again. Anyway, here's the link. http://www.gamefaqs.com/xbox360/928334-lost-odyssey/faqs/52738 ============================================================================== | Chapter 6: Lost Odyssey's Secret Achievements and How to unlock them | ============================================================================== Spoiller Warring: This chapter talks about the Secret Achievements available in this game. If you don't want the game spoilled, then either leave now or read at your own risk. A. Skill Master Seth Gamerscore: 20 Achievement Description: Master all of Seth's skills. Can it be done at any time: Yes and No (don't ask) Earliest Done: Disc 4 Guide: Refer to Skill Master Kaim for info. B. Skill Master Ming Gamerscore: 20 Achievement Description: Master all of Ming's skills. Can it be done at any time: Yes and No (don't ask) Earliest Done: Disc 4 Guide: Refer to Skill Master Kaim for info. C. Skill Master Sarah Gamerscore: 20 Achievement Description: Master all of Sarah's skills. Can it be done at any time: Yes and No (don't ask) Earliest Done: Disc 4 Guide: Refer to Skill Master Kaim for info. D. Skill Master Jansen Gamerscore: 20 Achievement Description: Master all Jansen's available skills. Can it be done at any time: Yes Earliest Done: Discs 2, 3 or 4 Guide: For the Skill Master Mortal Achievements, you just need to get to get to the Level the last skill is at. Mortals have the inability to learn skills from other allies or accessories, so don't even bother trying to do that. These achievements are easier to get then the Immortal achievements, because all the mortals follow one rule: Hit the level that has the last skill. That level is 52 (except for Tolten, who you can hit level 49 and still get his Skill Master achievement (don't ask)). E. Skill Master Cooke Gamerscore: 20 Achievement Description: Master all Cooke's available skills. Can it be done at any time: Yes Earliest Done: Discs 2, 3 or 4 Guide: Refer to Skill Master Jansen for info. F. Skill Master Mack Gamerscore: 20 Achievement Description: Master all Mack's available skills. Can it be done at any time: Yes Earliest Done: Discs 2, 3 or 4 Guide: Refer to Skill Master Jansen for info. G. Skill Master Totlen Gamerscore: 20 Achievement Description: Master all Totlen's available skills. Can it be done at any time: Yes Earliest Done: Disc 4 Guide: Refer to Skill Master Jansen for info. H. Skill Master Sed Gamerscore: 20 Achievement Description: Master all Sed's available skills. Can it be done at any time: Yes Earliest Done: Disc 4 Guide: Refer to Skill Master Jansen for info. H. Spell Collector Gamerscore: 20 Achievement Description: All spells have been obtained. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Must be done in Disc 4 Guide: Not too hard, but still high in the difficult department. You need to collect every spell in the game. They can be found chests or pots and all searchable areas, bought in stores, or the mortals can learn these spells as they level up. In certein cases, they can be rewarded for doing mini-games. Warring: Make sure you either pick up the Shieldus and Barricadus, for these are the only two missable items in the game, or at least, that is what I read. Note: I know this is the thrid time I mentioned this, but this achievement will not affect the Treasure Trove achievement in any shape and form. I. Defeated Cave Worm Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: You have defeated Cave Worm at the Forgotten Cave. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Must be done in Disc 4 Guide: You can find the Cave Worm once you managed to get your hands on the White Boa. Head north of the world map, near the Gothtzan continent. Ram the ice covering the small opening along the lining of the continent to enter the cave. I have yet to beat this boss myself, so if you need help you can either refer at the guide mentioned in the "The End" achievement, or you can look at the boss tips below. Update: I have actually beaten this boss about 1 year ago, I just haven't took the time to update this. Besides, I haven't looked at this guide too much, so... Anyway... Note: I did not come up with this or any other boss tips mentioned for the Defeated *insert boss here* achievments, so, don't cry Copyright violation. Boss tips: Suggested average level is 50+, with lots of skill slots for anti-ailment skills. The Cave Worm causes status ailments, so equip as much of the anti-ailment skills as possible. Equip Bio Rings on Kaim and Seth and keep on casting supportive magic (Powerus or Healing) with Sarah and Ming. The monster casts Complete Defense which nullifies ALL attacks and magic, so you have to wait this out and heal up until the effect wears off. Keep it up and it shouldn't be too hard. If you have Forceus at this point for any of your mages, use it. J. Defeated Persona Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: You have defeated Persona at the Old Sorceress' Mansion. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Must be done in Disc 4 Guide: You can find the Persona once you've upgraded the Nautilus and gain access to Numara again. Head to the Old Sorceress' Mansion, then head straight back to the old room where you have to "Fight" the posessed Sarah (I put Fight in quotes, because it's her emotions you have to fight, not Sarah herself.) Either refer to the guide mentioned in "The End" Achievment or look at the boss tips below if your having trouble (I have yet to beat this boss myself, so can't help you guys out directly here.) Update: I have actually beaten this boss about 1 year ago as well, I just haven't took the time to update this. Besides, I haven't looked at this guide too much, so... Anyway... Boss tips: Suggested average level is 45+. The Persona has two faces: the first looks like Medusa which is immune to magic but susceptible to melee attacks and the second is a Masked face which is the opposite of the first one (in this case, immune to melee attacks but susceptible to magic). You need to watch out for it as he changes "persona" lities. Equip Anti-Petrify/Stone and Anti-Paralyze on everyone. Cast Powerus on Kaim and Seth using your mages Sarah and Ming so you won't have to rely on spells and it should go down easy. K. Defeated Holy Beast Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: You have defeated Holy Beast at Numara Atoll. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Must be done in Disc 4 Guide: You can find the Holy Beast once you managed to get your hands on the White Boa. Go inside the Guest Area floor on the White Boa and head straight into the Queen's room at the end of the floor. Talk to Ming who is standing there, then press A on the Harp in front of her. Note: You may need to travel to Numara Atoll first, which is a small circular island on top of Numara to trigger the cut scene with Ming. After that, go to Numara Atoll and go all the way to the end of this area. Ming will play the Harp for the Holy Beast to come out, and you'll be attacked by this monster. Either refer to the guide mentioned in "The End" Achievment or look at the boss tips below if your having trouble (I have yet to beat this boss myself, so can't help you guys out directly here.) Update: I have actually beaten this boss about 1 year ago as well, I just haven't took the time to update this. Besides, I haven't looked at this guide too much, so... Anyway... Boss tips: Suggested average level is 45-50+ This battle is straightforward. Just equip Anti-Sleep on everyone since the Holy Beast casts Sleep on everyone and performs a powerful spell at 9999 damage when it's HP is in critical level. Equip Earth rings on Kaim and Seth and cast Powerus on both, or simply cast Groundus spells with Sarah and Ming. When he casts Sleep on everyone, you have 3 turns to defeat him or he'll do the 9999 damage spell and kill, so take him out fast. L. Defeated Blue Dragon Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: You have defeated Blue Dragon at the Snowfields of the Northernmost Land. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Must be done in Disc 4 Guide: You can find the Blue Dragon once you managed to get your hands on the White Boa. Head to the Upper-left (northwest) area of the map and to the right of that portion, there's an ice covering you need to ram using the White Boa. The Snowfields area is actually a puzzle, you need to go where the magic spots are comming from, NOT where they are going to. Do that a few more times, and Blue Dragon will show up to do battle with you. Anyway... Boss tips: Suggested average level is 45+ The Blue Dragon casts Death occasionally. The only thing you can do about it is revive your party member before the Blue Dragon goes down so the resurrected member can receive EXP and SP after the battle. Equip Bio rings on Kaim and Seth, cast Powerus on both on them using Sarah and Ming and/or Jansen. Heal from time to time. Bring his HP down as fast as possible since his ultimate spell, Leveler, does damage based on his HP, but he rarely uses it - in fact I didn't even see him use it. He isn't too hard as long as you keep at it. L. Defeated King Kelolon Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: You have defeated King Kelolon at Kelolon Village. Can it be done at any time: Not Sure Earliest Done: Either Disc 3 or 4 (unsure if it has to be done in Disc 4 or not) Guide: Kelolon Village will open up once you managed to get your hands on the White Boa. Head to the Upper part of the world map, between the Snowfields (home to Blue Dragon) and the Forgotten cave (home to Cave Worm). There's an ice covering here you need to ram in order to enter a small inlet. Once inside the inlet, launch and use the Nautilus then Dive. Proceed to the south of this inlet to enter an underwatter passage. Resurface after going through this passage to enter Kelolon Village. Anyway... Boss tips: Suggested level for Cooke: 45+, average for everybody: 45-50+ You need to go through a few battles using Cooke. On the first set, you need to defeat a few low-level Kelolons. Just equip any Kelo ring on Cooke and do melee, Kelolons at this point shouldn't be too hard. If you need to heal, use items. The second set involves fighting Kelolon participants one by one so you have enough time healing and attacking. Again, just use melee, they shouldn't be too hard. The third match involves a human-type Kelolon so he isn't Kelolon property. Use Bruiser/Crusher rings or spells instead. When he's about to go down, he'll ask for help so you should take him down right away, otherwise another Kelolon will come and heal him. The last is a level 99 Kelolon, which as the name suggests isn't too hard as well. Equip the Kelo ring again for more damage. Save at this point before going on. The last battle is with King Kelolon and this time everybody joins you. Like Blue Dragon, it's important you bring down his HP as fast as possible since his ultimate spell, Divide (much like Leveler) does damage based on his current HP. Equip Kelo rings on Kaim and Seth, cast Powerus on both of them using Sarah and Ming and cast Covera on Kaim and Seth using Cooke. As long as you bring down his HP to a value less than your current HP, he shouldn't be too much of a problem. M. Defeated Ghost of Eastern Ruins Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: You have defeated Ghost of Eastern Ruins at the Temple of Enlightenment. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be done in Disc 4 Guide: The Ancient Sprit Magician Fu can be found once you managed to get your hands on the White Boa. Head to the lower right part of the world map, in the Eastern Tribe island. Just below of the Great Ancient Ruins area, there is an ice opening you need to ram with the White Boa. After that, use the Nautilus, submerge and proceed then resurface in front of the Temple of Enlightenment. Anyway... Boss tips: Suggested average level is 65+ The toughest boss so far and the fact that you have to go through the whole of Temple of Enlightenment to reach him can be a pain. Be safe, go for level 75+ since the monsters in the Temple gives you a lot of EXP and it shouldn't be too hard to level. The one I got this tip from beat him at 90+ and he was easy too him/her. He will summon guardians from time to time which you have to take down since they shield Fu from damage. Once you're done with them, equip Fire rings on Kaim, Seth and Mack (it would be advisable to place Mack on the back row). As always, cast Powerus on them. Heal from time to time, if you have a lot of MP, be safe and cast heal on everybody (Zephyrus or Zephyra) every turn. As Mack, use Combo (on Powerus) all the time since this is the only way he can do a lot of damage. Use Covera or better, Coverus with your mages since Fu does a triple-hit attack which can be critically damaging depending on your level. N. Defeated Golden Knight Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: Deactivated all Royal Seals and defeated Golden Knight. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be done in Disc 4 Guide: The Golden Knight can be fought once you all the Royal Seals have been deactivated. A good time to do this is when youanaged to get your hands on the White Boa since you need the ship to enter Kelolon Village. Anyway... Boss tips: Suggest level for Tolten: 45+ You need to fight him single-handedly with Tolten. Equip any damaging rings like Bruiser or Crusher on him. As for accessory, anything that boosts your Defense. If you have Weapon Guard 2 (DLC skill), that would be good too. For the first few turns he won't attack, so make the most out of it. After a few turns, he will perform Ultimate Hit which you will learn after he inflicts it on you. Make sure you keep your HP up so you can endure Ultimate Hit's damage. Once you learn the skill and he asks you to show him what you've got, simply use Ultimate Hit on him and once it hits, the match is over. O. Ring Assembler Gamerscore: 30 Achievement Description: Assembled a ring using Ring Assembly. Can it be done at any time: Yes Earliest Done: Disc 1 (tords the end of the frist location (forgot the name)) Guide: This one's very simple for 30 Gamerscore. All you need to do is to assembele your first ring and that's it. Note: You need to have the means for creating a ring or you can forget about reciving this achievement and any rings you plan on creating in the begining of the game and into the future. P. Middle Class Master Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: Meet the secret requriement of the Backyard Middle Class battle set and win. Achievement Translation: 3 star all 5 battle sets for this Class Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be done in Disc 4 Guide: Refer to Light Class Master for details. Here are the 5 requirements for this class: 1. Kelolon Mama and Papa must be keeped alive 2. Kill the Owl first 3. Everyone must be keeped alive 4. You can only use Melee attacks 5. Make sure you cast All-Flare/Flarus on the enemies I will put up plans of attacks for this set soon, but No. 3 should be simple to 3 star, so you shouldn't have too much trouble with that one. Update: I have also put up a link to the Backyard FAQ (which doesn't belong to me) in the "Light Class Master" achievement, so you can look there if your having trouble. Q. Heavy Class Master Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: Meet the secret requriement of the Backyard Heavy Class battle set and win. Achievement Translation: 3 star all 5 battle sets for this Class Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be done in Disc 4 Guide: Refer to Light Class Master for details. Here are the 5 requirements for this class: 1. Defeat the boss Raptor 2. Everyone in the Front row must still be alive 3. Defeat 15 Dolls first 4. The Kelolon Brigade Leader must be defeated first 5. No use of skills is allowed. You can get away with Melee and/or Magic I will put up plans of attacks for this set soon, but Numbers 2 and 5 should be simple to 3 star, so you shouldn't have too much trouble with those two. Update: I have also put up a link to the Backyard FAQ (which doesn't belong to me) in the "Light Class Master" achievement, so you can look there if your having trouble. R. Super Heavy Class Master Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: Meet the secret requriement of the Backyard Super Heavy Class battle set and win. Achievement Translation: 3 star all 4 battle sets for this Class (no folks, I didn't goof up, that's how many battle sets you need to 3 star). Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be done in Disc 4 Guide: Refer to Light Class Master for details. This time, you have 4 requirements to deal and 3 star with. Here are the 4 requirements for this class: 1. Everyone must be keeped alive 2. Kill the Dogs with Poison rings (that's the only way to kill them apparently) 3. Score 10 favorable coin tosses and kill the monkeys in 10 turns 4. Cast Gamble on the Siver Kelolon I will put up plans of attacks for this set soon, but No. 1 should be simple to 3 star, so you shouldn't have too much trouble with that one. Also, No. 3 seems to be a bit luck based, so all you need for this is a truck load of the following: 1. Luck 2. Patience (for times you don't get Lucky, which I get the impresstion it's going to happend a lot) Here's a tip for number 3: You have to cast any fire spells you have like All-Flare or a fire based melee attack (Translation: equip fire rings and attack them), for that's the only way to get the monkeys to use Coin Toss. Overall, you need to get lucky to 3 star that requirement. Update: I have also put up a link to the Backyard FAQ (which doesn't belong to me) in the "Light Class Master" achievement, so you can look there if your having trouble. S. Champion Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: Met the secret requriement of the Backyard last challenger and win. Achievement Translation: Beat the last challenger in Less then 30 turns (i.e. 29). Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be done in Disc 4 Guide: Your last challenger is the Immortal. As the Achievment Translation said, you need to beat him/her in 29 turns at most. The person who manage to beat him/her had all 4 level 99 Immortals and Sed who was at level 80 at the time. Here's how he/she preparied his/her battle: 1. Take Kaim, Seth (front), Sarah, Ming and Sed (back) 2. Equip HP Up 1-4, Reduce Casting Time 1 and 2 and Double Cast (Jansen skill) on Sarah and Ming 3. Equip high leveled Wind rings on Kaim and Seth, HP Up 4 and Combo 3 skills (Mack skill) 4. Equip Double Item, Magic Defense 1 and 2, Ailments Resistance, Absorb Magic and Lucky 0 Damage for everyone 5. Buy lots of Heal Fulls (around 1k each) at Kelolon Village How He/She battled him/her: 1. Double cast Divide using Sarah, double cast All-Powerus and All-Generata using Ming 2. Spam Combo 3 skills with Kaim and Seth, this allows you to hit thrice and reduce the chances of the Immortal doing a counter spell (since he counters with every turn) - be ready though as Combo 3 skills take 2 turns 3. If you're low on HP, heal everyone using Double Item and Heal Full. Do not attack this turn so the Immortal won't counter with Shadowus 4. Prioritize Sarah's HP, keep it up since Divide hits all the time with damage based on the caster's current HP, so on Double Cast you can deal around 18k+ damage once in every turn (since Double Cast takes 2 turns) 5. He casts Divide from time to time, so like Blue Dragon and King Kelolon, it is imperative that you bring down his HP as fast as possible These are the Immortal's skill set reguardless of who faces him/her: 1. Cube: doesn't kill but drops everyone's HP to critical levels 2. Shadows: also counter spell, inflicts non-elemental magic damage 3. All Curse: also counter spell, curses everyone 4. Quivering Waves: reverses beneficial effects (turns ATK UP to ATK DOWN) 5. Melee attack: 8k+ damage 6. Divide: does damage based on his/her current HP ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Chapter 7: Lost Odyssey's DLC Achievements and How to unlock them | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Note: You need to download the Seeker of the Deep DLC for a shot at these achievements. It runs for 400 Microsoft points as mentioned in Chapter 3. Warring: All but one of the achievements shown below are secret achievements, either so read at your own risk or leave this guide now. A. Reached Conference Area 5B Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: Go to Conference Area 5B in Professor K's Dungeon. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be downloaded and it must be done in Disc 4 (as far as I know) DLC Secret Achievement: No Guide: Refer to "Reached Conference Area 25B" for details. Note: This is the only non-secret achievement aviable via Seeker of the Deep DLC. B. Reached Conference Area 10B Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: Go to Conference Area 10B in Professor K's Dungeon. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be downloaded and it must be done in Disc 4 (as far as I know) DLC Secret Achievement: Yes Guide: Refer to "Reached Conference Area 25B" for details. C. Reached Conference Area 15B Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: Go to Conference Area 15B in Professor K's Dungeon. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be downloaded and it must be done in Disc 4 (as far as I know) DLC Secret Achievement: Yes Guide: Refer to "Reached Conference Area 25B" for details. D. Reached Conference Area 20B Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: Go to Conference Area 20B in Professor K's Dungeon. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be downloaded and it must be done in Disc 4 (as far as I know) DLC Secret Achievement: Yes Guide: Refer to "Reached Conference Area 25B" for details. E. Reached Conference Area 25B Gamerscore: 10 Achievement Description: Go to Conference Area 25B in Professor K's Dungeon. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be downloaded and it must be done in Disc 4 (as far as I know) DLC Secret Achievement: Yes Guide: For these achievements you need to have actually bought the DLC (duh), and you are going to need a save before the Tower of Mirrors and go under water in the bay near Kelolon Vilage to find an underwater dungon. Other than that, you just need to keep decending downwards until you hit the a the floors that gives you the achievements. Note: I'm not 100% sure that it has to be done in Disc 4 for 4 the mentioned above, this one and the next one below. E. Defeated Killalon Gamerscore: 50 Achievement Description: Defeated Killalon in Professor K's Dungeon. Can it be done at any time: No Earliest Done: Has to be downloaded and it must be done in Disc 4 (as far as I know) DLC Secret Achievement: Yes Guide: After you get the achievements mentioned above, you have to decend one more floor to take on a really tough boss (or at least, that's what I read.) You have no save points any where in this dungon (at least, as far as I know) so if you lose here (or anywhere in the dungon as far as I know) you have to decend all those floors again. The link below mentions how he/she manage to do it in 3-4 turns. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=72737 That may seem insane for such a tough boss, but it is by far the best way to deal with him. He heals for 20k+ after every single turn, so you need to deal heavy damage quickly or he will outlast you, as he also has very big attacks on top of his auto-healing. One thing the one I got this link from might suggest that the guide linked above does not, is to sacrifice one double-cast on each of your first two turns to put Reflect on all of your immortals. This will reflect away his Annihilation spell. You might also want the skill that absorbs physical damage on everyone, as this is what his other super-move deals out. Finally, you may want to try spending the turn after he casts Reflect using small spells like Flare to eat away his Reflect spell (it can only reflect 3 spells), this way you won't have to get lucky with your immortals triggering a 0-damage. When he/she succeeded in killing him, he/she got extremely lucky (and almost everyone I've seen do this has as well) and he used a Reflect spell when he already had Reflect on himself, so this not only wasted his turn, it also triggered his third reflection. On this attempt he/she was using all Reversas instead of trying to eat it away with Flares, so since he broke it himself, he/she got in a few extra Reversas and killed him off. The battle really is based on putting as much in your favor as possible, then just hoping you get lucky. ============================================================================== | Chapter 8: How to Contact me | ============================================================================== You have 2 Main ways of contacting me: 1. Send me a E-mail 2. Send me a message on my Gamertag on X-Box Live My E-mail address shadowjohn91(at)yahoo(dot)com. My Gamertag is Gamer364. This can be done only through a text message. E-mail or Message me if you: A. See a spelling error: I may have made spelling errors as I was writing this. B. Have a question that needs asking: You may have soemthing that needs clearing up or something to that affect. C. Have a correction to make: I'm not 100% sure on some of the stuff mentioned though out the guide. D. Want to use my guide on your website: I personally have no problem letting you use my guide on your website, as long as you ask me first, and you give me credit for it. E. Think you see someone using my guide with out permission: I don't like it when people steal my stuff (at least, not without asking me first). I don't do it to other people (at least with giving other people credit for the idea), so why do it to me anyway? F. Have something to add-on to this or that/there's something I forgot to inclued: If there something you think I should have included, but I didn't, you are encouraged to send me an Email for this or that. Note: For now on, when you E-mail/Xbox message me, I want the topic of the message to be about Lost Odyssey or I'm going to think your trying to spam me. Latelly, I been getting a lot of e-mails and none of them has anything to do with Lost Odyssey. As of right now the only sites that have permission to use my guide: A. GameFAQs (I have an ancount with them, so they don't really need my permission.) B. Supercheats C. Neoseeker D. Gamershell More to come (maybe). Don't even think about email me if you are going to send me: A. Hate Mail B. Spam C. Name Calling mail D. Barelly readable/Unreadable mail E. Mail with mostly creative words (if you get my drift) Letter A I take offence to, because I don't send hate mail to no one. I have a Spam safeguard with yahoo, and it'll tell me if I have spam or not with Letter B. Also, if I think your trying sending me spam on Xbox Live, don't think I won't wirte a complant about you, and/or tell Microsoft on you. With letter C, I also take offence, because I get name called in school. Letter D, If your sending me an E-mail, have spell check avaiable to you and your not sure of your spelling, then why not use it? Letter E, Unless I messed up that badly, there's really no reason for that anyway. All of these things can and will make me think your a bad person, when in reality your probably not. All in all, just don't do it. Follow these rules, and if you add-on and/or correct something, I'll give you credit for it. Note: Don't get discouraged if I don't answer you right away. Sometimes, I might be on the Computer and sometimes I'll be on Xbox Live. Your best bet is to send both an E-mail and an Xbox Live message. That way if I don't get one of your messages, I'll still be able to get the other message. Even then, I might still not get your message right away. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Chapter 10: Legal Junk and Special Thanks | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Legal Junk This guide is copyrighted and writen by me.
