Man. I am nice. All you got to do is ask me by e-mailing me at Ultimeomnicode@aol.com. This is also written as if you know what does what and you know where to get it. But it does tell how (to an extent) to start your city and all. I N T R O D U C T I O N \_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/ Welcome to Sim City 3000. This isn't your Grandfather's Sim City this is almost completely fresh. 3D graphics and more and different options. So get ready, Mayor, to make your new town. M A I N P O I N T S \_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/ Starting your City Well of course build your power plants in a desired place. If it's a high polluting building keep far away. And if not still keep some distance from the point of building city. After so than build the desired water facility. If a pump build it near FRESH WATER only. And it can only be 3 tiles away from the water. If you built it near SALT WATER than build a Water Treatments...quickly. Now garbage facilities or zones. You can either zone a landfill or make recycling or incinerators. Keep all garbage zones and facilities away from water since they will pollute it. Than after so and powering your water and garbage facilities now comes the fun part. There is no right way to plan your city since almost anything can work. In fact there are many ways. But your sims will get mad if their houses are near industrial zones. That's why I build my Residential/Commercial zone far from the Industrial, Airport, and Seaport. Also don't make the zone giant or else they won't build. Transportation must be near or else they won't develop. Now after a commercial, residential, and industrial zones are put up (don't go all out on heavy density zones until later when land values are up)and you got roads going everywhere or some kind of transportation than comes your people safety, education, and fun areas. Build Police Stations and Fire Stations everywhere possible but not over doing it and not under doing it. Than place a few hospitals that fit your populations need and a few schools and colleges to fit population need. Finally some parks and recreational buildings and voila it is finished. (Don't forget pipes and electrical wires for the city). Now set your budget and click the play button. Neighbor Deals Neighbors will never be able to handle some things on their own, and vice versa. So if they talk to you read carefully for that fine print. I usually accept all garbage deals since they aren't that hard to handle. Water on the other hand I never can but if you can they go ahead but be aware of your water supply if your city is growing to metropolis size. If they offer to dispose or give you something make sure you can afford it. Business Deals As with neighbors you have businesses also offering things. I usually accept everything except that Toxic Waste building. Since everything else is able to be put somewhere in your vast land for your city. Be aware if they produce hazardous pollution, or any pollution at that. If they do keep away from Residential/Commercial areas.
