This guide will have you sorted with every solution from start to finish. It has been divided into chapters listed according to the chapter select menu, so you can find exactly what you are looking for. It will help you earn the 12 achievements to be had in the game (although one is missable if you die too much) and will help you find all the little extra secrets that LIMBO has to offer. Without further ado, lets begin! =============================================================================== Prologue [ACT00] =============================================================================== As the game starts, you will be lying on the ground. Hit the A button to stand up. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Achievement: Run to the left and pick up the glowing egg to earn the achievement - Wrong Way.¯ o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Continue to the right and climb to the top of the log. Drop down and jump over the spike pit at the bottom. =============================================================================== Chapter 1 [ACT01] =============================================================================== Continue left to reach a small structure, pull the small block out from under the structure at ground level and use it to jump up to the platform. Jump across to the rope and slide down to the suspended platform. Drop down to the left, and then jump across the pit to the right. Jump onto the boat and let it carry you across the water until it lands on the opposite shore. Get off of the boat and pull it to the right and up to the wall. Use the boat to jump up to the higher ledge. Climb the vine against the far wall and jump over to the hanging rope when possible. At the top of the rope climb up to the ledge above and continue right. Shortly after you start downhill, you will be able to see a pair of bear traps on the ground. Pull the nearest one back towards you and then jump over it and the second trap. Continue right. You will see a body on a rope, drop down below the rope and pull the bear trap in the corner so it is directly below the body on the rope. Jump onto the rope with the body on it and quickly climb up (if you are too slow, you will also be caught in the trap), the body should be snapped up by the trap. Swing across to the higher ledge. Continue to the right and down the hill until you reach a large, slanted log. Jump on the log and as soon as you do, quickly run back to the left and jump up to the raised platform here to avoid the big rock that rolls down the slope. Jump over the rock once it has stopped and continue running to the right until you find a box sitting in some water. =============================================================================== Chapter 2 [ACT02] =============================================================================== Walk up to the box in the water and pull it left, look out for a rope hanging from a tree here. Place the box under the rope and use it to jump up. Use the rope to swing up to the branch on the right. Turn around and jump up to the branch on the left. Run behind the tree and jump across to the branch stump further to the left. Jump up to the next branch on the right. Jump across the gap here and push the broken tree so that it falls in the water below. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Achievement: Before making your way back down, from this platform you can run and jump to the left to grab a hard to see rope. Use this to swing up to a higher platform on the left, here pick up the egg for the achievement - Altitude is Attitude. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Return to ground level and push the box back to the water. Push both the box and the log as far as possible to the right without drowning, then jump on top of them and use the log to cross the water. Hop up the other side. Continue right. =============================================================================== Chapter 3 [ACT03] =============================================================================== Run left until you see a large spider hugging a tree. It will attack, stand well out of range until it stops. Once it has, move close to it, until one of the legs moves towards you. Quickly move out of the way and it will strike the ground. Run back to the left and you will find a bear trap. Jump over this and push it back towards the spider. As before encourage the spider to attack you, but place the trap exactly where the spider strikes the ground. This will remove a leg. Repeat this three times and the spider will retreat. Continue right. After a short while, you will stop moving, having been caught in the spiders web! The spider will come and tie you up before exiting to the left. Once it is gone wiggle away until you drop down to the floor below. Hop across to the right, jump across the gap and continue up the hill. =============================================================================== Chapter 4 [ACT04] =============================================================================== Slide down and jump across the gap at the bottom. Push the boulder to the right, and then quickly hop back to the left to avoid being crushed by the tree. Continue to the right. Jump on the large rock here and use it to traverse to the other side of the spike pit. Be sure to keep jumping towards the entrance to prevent our silhouetted hero from falling down. As you cross the gap, you will see the spider re-appear on the ceiling, so be ready to jump from the rolling stone to the far ledge as soon as you are able. Slide down the hill and continue to the right. You will see a dead body, walk towards it and the ground will give way. Ahead you will see a rope with a trap attached to it. In order to use this, jump to the rope, then quickly jump off the rope. This will dislodge the trap and allow you to use the rope safely. =============================================================================== Chapter 5 [ACT05] =============================================================================== Mosey on down the hill until you reach a series of tree stumps. Jump across the stumps until you reach two stumps close together with a broken log on top of one and a small stick on another. Jump from the fourth stump onto the stick, and then quickly jump back to the fourth stump to avoid being crushed by the log. Using the log, jump to the next stump, it will topple forward. When able, jump to the next stump. From here, we will need to make a precise jump to a small platform to the right. As you land on this it will activate a swinging booby trap, time your jump from here to the next stump so that you will leap over the swinging trap in the process. Slide down the log here and jump over the spike pit. Continue to the right until you see a fake spider. Like the real one, the leg will move up and down. Unlike the real one, in this case you can simply run underneath the leg when it raises. As you do, you will see a shadowy figure run off. Leap across the gap here and continue up the hill a short way, you will see a flaming tyre rolling down the hill towards you. Quickly make a 180 degree turn and jump back across the gap. After the tyre has safely deposited itself in the water, jump over again and continue up the hill, watching out for the occasional small flaming rock that will roll down. If you are quick enough, you will not need to avoid a second tyre. Enter the cave and climb the pair of ladders. At the top continue to the right. =============================================================================== Chapter 6 [ACT06] =============================================================================== As you approach a structure, you should be able to see two bear traps on the platform above. These are actually attached to ropes and they will swing down when you get close enough. Move forward slowly, and as the first trap releases move slightly to the left to avoid it, then jump quickly to the right to avoid the second trap. You can now use the rope to the left of the structure to climb up onto a platform. Jump across two platforms then drop back down to ground level, continue to the right. As you approach the ledge, the spider will re-appear behind you. It will chase you now, so you will need to pick up the pace a bit because it will destroy you if it catches up with you. Push the log into the water, then jump onto it, and then across to the other side. You will come to a see-saw like log that you will need to use to get up to the higher platform on the right. Stand on the far right side of the stump and wait for the spider to stand on the left hand side. As it does, quickly jump across to the next platform. Continue up the hill and push the stump over. Use it to jump across the gap, climb up the ledge here and continue up the hill until you reach the rock held in place by a stick. Jump on the stick, then run back down the hill and hug the wall closest to the ledge. The rock should roll over your head and take out the spider. Continue onwards until you reach a spike pit. Two shadowy figures on the opposite side will see you and run away. Turn around and you will see the spider is back again. Move towards it until it performs a stabbing attack, avoid this and then grab the leg and pull it. It should come off in your hands. Jump over the spider and push its body into the spike pit. Use the body to jump across to the other side. =============================================================================== Chapter 7 [ACT07] =============================================================================== Continue to the right, ignoring the hanging boxes for a moment and continue into the cave. Climb the ladder here and jump to the box with the bird sitting on it, jump up and down on the box until the rope snaps. Push the box as far to the right as you can. Jump up to the ledge above. Continue right and walk through the first puddle. When you reach the second pool of water, jump onto the dead body floating in the centre. Wait here for a few seconds and a shadowy figure will walk into the water on the right and die, allowing you to jump over to the other side. Grab the body next to the waters edge and push it to the right. Drop it into the hole to activate the crushing trap. Jump across the top of the trap to the other side. Continue down the hill to the right. When you reach another crushing trap, look beneath it to see a raised piece of ground. This is a safe zone. So jump to this section and then over to the other side. The second crushing trap you see moments later is the opposite. The raised piece of ground will activate the trap, so jump over it. Following the crushing traps, jump across the spike pit. As you do, the camera will pan across a bit to show three shadowy figures with blow darts. Stand still and they will kill you, so quickly jump back across the spike pit and past the two crushing traps (remember the safe spots!). The pit and the traps will take care of your pursuers. Once the three shades are dead, continue across the spike pit and to the right. =============================================================================== Chapter 8 [ACT08] =============================================================================== Climb down the ladder here and look to the left to see a cart, pull it out as far as you can to the right. Climb up the ladder again and climb the rope here, you need to continue climbing upwards as you will be crushed between a pair of gears if you do not. Once the rope stops coming, jump back to the platform and climb down the ladder quickly. Jump onto the mine carts and across to the rope before it recedes back up above the gears again. This rope controls a weight in the next section, and a second rope to the right controls a second weight. Make sure the first weight is touching the ceiling before swinging and jumping to the second, when the second rope is near the top, jump across to the platform and under the weights before they come back down again. Continue to the right until a glowing brain slug attaches itself to your head. These things will force you to move continuously in the same direction until they are exposed to light. Light will make them change direction and force you to walk in the opposite way. To get rid of them we need to solve a puzzle and lead them to a small group of demonic plants that live on the roof that will snatch it from you. The brain slug will force you to the left until you hit the light beam, at which point you will start cruising in the opposite direction. Continue down the hill and jump across the gap. Jump over the box here and continue until you reach a second beam of light. Cruise back the other way again and push the box. When you are underneath the demonic growth on the ceiling, jump on the box and then jump again - the growth should snatch the brain slug from your head. Continue to the right. =============================================================================== Chapter 9 [ACT09] =============================================================================== Continue past the first lever and drop down to see a small animal trying to jump and reach a glowing plant. As you approach it will scurry away and hide. Jump onto the platform above the creature, then jump to the platform with the glowing plant on the underside. Jump on it a couple of times, and the glowing plant will fall below. Jump back to the platform above the shadow creature and when it runs out to grab the food, drop down behind it. It will scurry away once more into, you guessed it, a hamster wheel! Jump up and hit the switch, hold it for a few seconds and it will begin to rain. Continue to the right. When you see the chain hanging from the broken pipe, ignore it, and drop down into the hole to the right. Pull the log into the centre of the pit, and then climb up the left side. Jump onto the chain of the broken pipe to fill the hole with water. Jump to the log and then up to the platform on the opposite side. When you reach the pool of black death fluid, jump to the small plant hanging over the edge. Climb up this and continue into the pipe. Slide down into the next area. =============================================================================== Chapter 10 [ACT10] =============================================================================== Push the box to the right until you see the platform above. Jump over the box and climb up the ladder. Pull the platform all the way to the right. Climb down the ladder and make sure the box is positioned close to the left-hand side of the gap in the platform above. If it is, pull the lever next to the ladder and the room will start to fill with water. Climb up the ladder and jump to the box, when the water level is high enough, jump from the box to a second ladder on the left-hand wall. At the top, run into the alcove on the right and pull out a second box. Jump on this and when the water rises, jump up to the next platform. Run to the left and slide down the slope, jump for the lower platform and pull the handle to open the platform up a bit. When the balloon pops out of the water, quickly shut the platform behind it and then roll it over to the right side and position it beneath the wooden section of the top platform. Climb the ladder to the top platform and stand on the wooden section. As the water rises so will you. Jump up to the higher platform when able. Continue up the hill, pull the lever to the right of the ladder. This will fill the hole above you with water, causing the crate to float, once the water has stopped gushing in; pull the lever a second time. Climb the ladder and jump to the crate and across to the middle platform with a second lever. Pull this lever to bring down a large block to increase the water level, use this and the nearby crate to jump across to the upper platform. Continue to the right. =============================================================================== Chapter 11 [ACT11] =============================================================================== You should see a platform below with a brain slug hanging above it. Below said brain slug is a crate we need to move to the left. Wait until the brain slug is swinging away, then run in and pull the crate to the left. Jump over it and let the brain slug get you. It will compel you to walk left, do so and use the crate to jump up to the ledge from where we entered. As you hit the light, the slug will force you back to the right. Continue past where we first encountered the brain slug and jump over to the first ladder. Wait for the falling debris to clear before jumping to the next ladder. Climb down and jump across the platforms to the left until you reach the next light source. You will notice the water is now rising, so we will need to be careful on the way back. Once you return to the first ladder, jump to the second and once again climb up to the previous area using the box on the left side of the platform. Once the slug compels you back to the right, climb the first ladder, climb to the second and then wait at the top. A loose piece of piping will float to the surface. When the water level is high enough you need to jump to the pipe and then from there across to the right-hand platform. Let the demonic growth on the ceiling deal with the brain slug for Let the demonic growth on the ceiling deal with the brain slug for you. Climb the ladder for a moment until the water stops rising. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Achievement: Once the water stops, climb back down the ladder and pull the floating pipe you used to jump across to the right. Push the pipe out so that its left side is only just touching the platform. Jump on it, and then do a running jump back to the left. You will grab onto a rope partially hidden by the environment. As you pull on this, an egg will fall out of the pipe above and land on the floating pipe. Pick it up for achievement - Its Stuck. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Return to the ladder and climb to the top. Walk to the right, jump across the gap and slide down the rooftop, make sure to jump across the pit at the bottom. From here, jump to the wall pipe to the right and climb to the top. Jump up to the ledge and continue right. =============================================================================== Chapter 12 [ACT12] =============================================================================== Continue until you reach a large neon sign spelling out HOTEL. When the sign is lit up, contact with it will result in instant death, so be sure to time your jumps to avoid that. Wait for the H to switch off and as it does, quickly jump across the top of the letter to the O. The O will move to the right and strike the T dislodging a cable below. Drop down the gap between the H and the O and jump to the cable in the middle of the large gap. Swing across to the right and jump and activate the switch here. This will turn the power to the sign off. Swing back across the gap and climb the wall pipe here. Jump across to the E, from here jump to the L, the L will rotate when you land on it, so be sure to jump across to the arrow when able. Using the arrow quickly run and jump up to the ledge above and to the right before it plummets into the abyss below. Continue to the right. Drop down from the roof here onto a large glass dome. Continue to the right and onto the solid ground. Near the wall you will see a mine cart with a ladder on top of it. Push the mine cart down the hill and climb up the ladder. When you approach the glass, jump over the stopper at the end and try to land on the glass dome, doing so will cause it to break and you will fall through. Ride the slope down and jump across to the light on the left, jump to the second light and then over to the rope dangling to the left. It will lower ope down and jump across to the light on the left, jump to the second light and then over to the rope dangling to the left. It will safely lower you to the ground. =============================================================================== Chapter 13 [ACT13] =============================================================================== After you hit the ground, run over and knock down the scaffolding on the left. Then run to the right, you will be beset by another brain slug. Follow its direction all the way to the left, then from the beam of light back to the left and back to where it attached itself to you. Continue to the right and drop down to the platform below, continue past the lift and two switches along the lower path. Jump across to the hanging girder and then hop across the next two until you reach solid ground again. As you move forward, you will walk over a button on the ground. The switch triggers a time delay release of a crate from a claw hanging from the roof in front of you. As you activate the button, hold back on the control pad to slow your walk down. Wait for the crate to drop in front. Keep behind it until you see a circular saw coming your way. When it is almost upon you, jump onto the crate and over the saw. Jump up to the raised platform on the right and jump again to have the demonic growth release you from brain slug control. Wait for the saw to come back to the section just below you, then jump across and hop over to the safety of the closest suspended girder. On this girder you will need to run back and forth between either end to tilt the girder enough to enable you to jump to the next girder to the left. Once you have reached the second girder, grab the third girder and pull it back as far as you can. Jump onto it, it will swing across allowing you to jump onto the platform on the left. Continue up the ramp until you reach the elevator again. =============================================================================== Chapter 14 [ACT14] =============================================================================== To the left of the lift you will see a crate, drag it to the right so the lift will pick it up. Activate the lower switch and ride the lift up with the crate. At the top, push it off onto the upper platform. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Achievement: Hit the switch to lower the platform again. Hit the switch to send the lift up again, but use the crate to jump on top of the lift. Ride the lift up and as you near the top, look to the left, you should see a rope hanging off to the side. Jump over to this and an egg will pop out of a pipe higher up on the wall. Jump back to the lift and drop down to the ground level. Cruise to the right to pick up the egg for the achievement - Urban Exploration. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Use the elevator to get back up to the upper platform with the crate. If you move a little to the right you will notice a see-saw type platform that will hinder your progress. You will need to stand on the near end so that the platform is sloping upwards to the left. Make sure the lift is at the very top of the room. If it is, hit the switch, then grab the platform and quickly pull it to the right. Place the lift platform on the nearest end of the see-saw. Now you can freely move the crate onwards to the right. Pull the lever near the far wall, then position the crate below the rope when it lowers. Pull the switch one more time to send the rope back up and use the crate to quickly jump onto it. Ride the rope to the top and swing over to the platform on the right. This platform has two pressure pads, and two time release crates that will be dropped from the ceiling. Like the previous section, a circular saw will slowly make its way towards you. Hit the left hand switch first, wait 4-5 seconds and then hit the second. Pull the first crate to the left and place it beneath where the second crate will drop. Using the double stacked crates, jump over the circular saw and onto the platform above. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Achievement: Continue to the right. Below the ladder you will come across a dark cave. Enter the cave and follow it downwards. You will be unable to see anything. But when you hear the character step in water, jump across to the right. If successful, he will grab a platform and climb up. Run to the right to find another egg for another achievement - Alone in the Dark¯. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Exit the cave and climb the ladder. =============================================================================== Chapter 15 [ACT15] =============================================================================== Move right and drop down into a pool of water. You will see a giant mosquito feeding on a dead body to the right. Any sudden movements will scare the mosquito away, so move very slowly towards it and as it spots you, jump at it to grab its legs. It will fly off and deposit you on a higher platform. Continue to the right. You will come to a ramp with a pressure switch beneath it. Climb this and drop down the other side, climb the ladder here. On the ledge, push the box beneath the ladder and climb up to the next level. To your left you will find a pair of hanging platforms that you can move. Jump over the first one and pull it as far as it will go to the left. Jump over the second one and throw the switch at the far left. This will release a tyre which will roll slowly to the right, we need to carry it across on the hanging platforms. Quickly run back to the right and jump over the first platform again, push it as far to the left as you can. As the tyre rolls, you need to pull the platform along with it so it doesnt fall into the pit below. When the tyre reaches the second platform, switch over and push that to the end. The tyre will drop down below. Cruise back down the ladders and into the room with the sloped ramp and the pressure switch. Push the tyre up the ramp to the left as far as it will go and quickly run back over to the right and scale the first ladder. As the tyre hits the pressure pad (and this will happen a couple of times, so dont fret if you miss the first one), a small section of wall will open, allowing you to push the crate here down to ground level. Grab the crate and drag it to the right. =============================================================================== Chapter 16 [ACT16] =============================================================================== Using the crate from the previous section, have our shadowy friend jump up to the platform with the lever. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Achievement: Before you throw the lever, jump over to the large cog to the right. You should be able to climb it. Make your way over to the opposite side of the cog, grab the egg for the achievement - Climbing the Cog¯. Climb the ladder and jump back over the cog to the switch. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Pull the switch on the platform to activate the cog. Push the box up to the cog so it gets taken over to the right hand side. Ride the cog up and jump up to the platform above, grab the crate here and push it onto the cog as well. Ride the cog down to ground level. To the right is a pressure pad. Stepping on this will make a section of ground rise up on the right. Push one crate as far as you can against the right wall and push the second crate onto the switch. As the platform rises, jump across and use the crate here to reach the ledge above. Continue to the right. Run past the switch and onto the chain suspended above an electrified floor. Swing the chain back and forward until it is swinging as much as it can. Jump back to the left and hit the switch. Quickly run back and jump onto the chain as it moves. Use the chain to swing to the other side of the electric floor. Drop down the ledge here. =============================================================================== Chapter 17 [ACT17] =============================================================================== Walk forward and push the small cog into the large one. This will cause the entire room to rotate. Run back to the left and wait until the small gate opens on the right. Cruise through the opening and jump onto the cog. Ride it to the top and jump off to the platform on the left. Ignore the power switch here for now and drop down the ledge to the left. This is a magnified floor, and there is a switch near the far wall that will activate and deactivate it. Make your way over to the switch and deactivate it. Push the box as far as you can to the right. Run back to the switch and activate it when the crate is approximately halfway between the ledge you came from and the small ladder leading to the upper platform. Jump back up to the previous ledge, hit the switch, then jump down and use the crate to jump across to the ladder, climb this and through the opening before it closes. Continue to the left until you reach another lever, dont touch this yet. Like the previous lever, this will rotate the room, except this time we need to dodge saw blades and electric floors! Move past the lever and grab the nearby crate from beneath the circular saw, pull it until it is beneath the chain hanging from the roof. Return to the lever and throw it, jump up onto the box and then up to the chain. Wait for the room to rotate, and when you are hanging above the electric floor, wait for the crate to appear beneath the chain and drop onto it. As the room shifts a little more, the crate will move straight into another saw blade, As you approach do a running jump over the blade to grab the chain above it. Swing and jump over to the left-hand wall and slide to the bottom. Jump across the gap here. =============================================================================== Chapter 18 [ACT18] =============================================================================== When you are ready for another round of room rotation puzzle action, pull the switch. Move to the right and wait for the crate to drop. When it does, wait for the room to rotate a little more and push it to the right until it is on the edge of the platform. Use the crate to jump across the gap before the small gate comes down or you will be crushed by the boulder we jumped over earlier. Once you are safely on rotation-free ground, continue to the right, jump onto the cog and ride it to the right. Jump off and continue until you see a lone figure sitting on the ground. As you approach it, a brain slug will ambush you and force you to run back the way you came. Jump back across the cog and up to the higher platform; continue until you reach the beam of light. Run back to the right, over the cog. You will notice that the room has now transformed into something quite different. Jump across the gap onto the conveyor belt, run up to the first crusher and when it is safe to do so, jump inside and out the other side onto a second conveyor. Approach the second crusher and grab onto the left-hand side of the lower section. Ride it to the top of the room, and when it starts to separate run across and jump down to the next conveyor below. You will see the demonic growth on the ceiling. So time a jump to land on one of the boxes and then up again to the growth. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Achievement: Stand on the left hand side of the third conveyor here and wait for the crusher to descend, use one of the crates to jump up and grab onto the right hand ledge of the crusher. Ride it to the top and when it is safe to do so, jump down to the left. When the crusher comes down again, hang onto the left side of it and at the top, jump across to the hanging ladder nearby. Climb to the top and follow the passageway to the right to find an egg, squish it for the achievement - Backtracking¯. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o At the end of the third conveyor is a cog, jump aboard and ride it to the top, from here jump to the ladder and climb up. =============================================================================== Chapter 19 [ACT19] =============================================================================== Throwing the switch here will change the directions of the two gears in the room. You will need to throw it once, so that the gear on the right is rotating upwards, and then throw it a second time. Quickly jump up to the cog and then across to the ladder before the cog builds up too much speed. At the top of the ladder jump onto the left hand cog, ride it to the top and then use one of the cogs teeth to jump up to the platform above. Run to the left and ignore the lever for now, continue past the cart with the ladder and jump up the other side. Continue onwards and in the far right side of the area you will find a mine cart. Pull it back to the left and leave it to sit beneath the lever that is visible near the top of the room. Run back to the cart with the ladder. Push it as far as possible to the left hand side. Climb up the ladder and ride it to the left. Jump out and head to the switch. Wait for the cart to reach the other side of its pit and then turn on the power switch when the cart-ladder is almost at the left hand side of the area. Jump onto the ladder and ride it back to the right. The platform beneath it will rise and allow you to jump from the ladder onto the platform above and to the right. Once on the platform, move to the right and jump to the switch across the gap. You should fall safely into the mine cart below. The mine cart will start to move forward. After a short while, you will see a ladder approach in the dark. Jump up to it and get onto the platform above. Let the mine cart get slightly in front of you and follow behind it. A circular saw will start tearing up the platform you are standing on, when safe to do so, run and jump over the saw into the mine cart below. When the mine cart leaves the electrified floor, jump down to the solid ground below. Do not jump up onto the ledge, as the mine cart will continue into an alcove, hitting a switch here and electrifying said ledge above. When the mine cart comes to rest, pull it out of the alcove and push it up the hill to the left. When you push it, it will continue upwards for a few seconds, before it starts to roll back down the hill towards the switch again. So push it uphill slightly, then jump onto it and from there quickly jump up to the platform above, being sure to run and jump as many times as possible to get to the other side of the electrified floor ASAP. Time for another level rotation puzzle! This time we have a swinging light that makes it very hard to see what we are doing, it can be a little frustrating but once you know what to do it is quite simple. When ready, pull the switch here and then jump across the gap on the right when able. Run to the right and stop on the small even section between the two slopes, wait for a bit more of a rotation, and then jump across to the ladder above the gap on the right. Move up the slope slightly, and wait for a little more rotation before jumping to a safe platform just above the electrified floor. The rotation will stop. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Achievement: In front of you, you will see an electrified wall, and in front of it a hard to spot wooden crate. Push this up against the electric wall and get on top of it. Jump to the left to climb up onto a hidden platform. From here jump to the ledge above the electric wall to find an egg for the achievement - Guided by Sparks¯. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Push the crate off the ledge to the left and jump down onto it and across to the platform. Continue to the right. =============================================================================== Chapter 20 [ACT20] =============================================================================== Upon entering this area you will see two gun turrets, one horizontal and one vertical. You should see a faint beam of light leading away from the turret, this is its line of fire. If you stand in the laser sight for more than a couple of seconds, the gun will tear our hero to shreds. To get past this next section we need to get rid of the horizontal gun. To do this, jump across the gap and over to stand in the beam of the vertical turret. Before either gun starts shooting, quickly jump back across the gap and stand on top of the horizontal turret. The vertical turret will move back and forth across the ceiling, when its laser is above the horizontal turret, stand in the beam so it shoots. It will return back to its original position and then come back again, once more get the turret to fire at the horizontal gun and it will be destroyed. Jump across the gap and continue to the right. =============================================================================== Chapter 21 [ACT21] =============================================================================== Continue down the ramp and drop into the room below. Push the farthest crate to the right and you will come across a pressure switch which will invert gravity on the left hand side of the room. Ignore this for now and push the box up the slope on the right side of the room. When the gravity is back to normal, give the box one more push, then run and jump over the button. Run up to the second crate, push it a little and then jump back up to the slope above. Wait for gravity to right itself again and grab the crate before it slides down the ramp again and place it beneath the ladder at the top. Jump up the ladder and continue to the right a little bit. Climb down a second ladder here. This will extend down into the pressure pad room below. Climb down the ladder. Once again, push the crate up the slope, and as it makes its way towards the button, run back to the ladder, climb to the top and head to the left, by the time you reach the end, the gravity should have been altered and you will see the other box hanging just off the edge of the platform. Pull it onto the main platform. When gravity corrects itself, push the crate so it sits just below the upper platform on the right side. One final time, climb back down the ladder and push the crate up the ramp again. Quickly climb the ladder and jump onto of the crate. As gravity goes nuts, jump across to the now open platform above. Continue to the right. You will see an elevator here. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Achievement: Run up to the elevator and press down. You will climb down the edge. Jump to the chain here and climb all the way to the bottom to find an egg. Step on it for the achievement - Under Ground¯. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Press the button to lower the elevator. Once the elevator is at its lowest point, hit the switch again ad jump onto the elevator to be lifted up to the higher platform. Hit the switch here to lower it again, then hit it a second time and jump on top to ride it up. When you reach the highest point, you will need to jump off immediately as you will be in a horizontal turrets laser sight. The turret will break the rope holding the crate nearby and it will fall to the ground. Lower the elevator again and push the crate on top. Raise the elevator again and jump on top, standing behind the crate for safety. At the top, hop on the crate and then jump to the platform above the turret. In here you will find another gravity switch. If you turn it off, you will see a crate drop down, wait until it is moving down the slope to the right and turn the switch on and off continually until you can bring the box out of the area. Try to not let the box hit anything as this will change the direction in which it moves. Once the box is out, push it as far as possible to the right. Jump back down to the upper platform below and lower the lift. Jump over the crate and push it to the right, there is another horizontal gun in the far right of the area and you can use the crate as cover. From the crate, climb the ladder. At the top, hit the switch to invert gravity. Jump over the box and run to the left to find the second box you liberated earlier. Push it back to the right so you now have two boxes to play with. You should see a section of wall that moves in and out from the right hand side, we will need to utilise this to continue. Place one crate closest to the platform from which the moving wall comes out. Place the second crate further away. Run back to the switch and when the wall is below the first crate, activate the gravity reversal. The wall should have the first crate on it and should be pushing the second crate along the floor. Quickly jump up onto the second crate, then onto the moving platform, and then up again onto the first crate. From here you can jump up to the ledge on the right. Climb down the ladder to continue. =============================================================================== Chapter 22 [ACT22] =============================================================================== Walk to the right, past the gravity panel and turn on the magnetic ceiling using the control panel nearby. There are two large square blocks in this section and our aim from here is to raise the one on the left to the roof, but keep the one on the right glued to the ground. To do this, we need to return to the gravity panel and turn it on; you should notice that the left block is situated higher in the room than the right hand block, so when you throw the gravity switch wait for the large block above you to rise off the ground a little. When it does, quickly switch it off again. If your timing was good, the left block should be on the ceiling and the right one should be on the ground. Jump up to the platform beneath the left block, and then again leap across to the central platform above the switch and then once more across to the second block. From here you can climb the ledge on the right. You will come to a pair of gravity panels next to a rope. Hit the first one to invert gravity, wait a few seconds and a flying fox will appear on the rope. Do not let it hit the end as it will stop and move away much quicker when you return gravity to normal. Instead hit the switch when the flying fox is just about to reach the ledge. Jump onto the rope and ride it across the gap, drop down onto the first roof you see and slide down to the right. =============================================================================== Chapter 23 [ACT23] =============================================================================== Jump off the roof and hit the gravity switch as you pass it. This will allow you to run straight up the wall in front of you. Run away from the saw and at the top of the wall you will see a familiar sight. The neon H from the HOTEL sign earlier in the game, but this time it is on its side and as before,lights on means do not touch. When the neon light comes on, wait 1 second then jump off the top of the vertical platform and hit the gravity switch here to return things to normal. Jump across to the safe spot in the middle of the H. When it is safe to do so, run and jump off the right hand side of the H to a pipe below. Turn back towards the sideways H and when it is safe jump down to the middle of the H then do a quick 180 and jump to the rope below. Drop down onto the O and continue to the right. You will enter a small room without a floor, but with a gravity panel close at hand. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Achievement: Jump to the panel to reverse gravity and a crate will join you on the ceiling. Use it to jump back out to the entrance. Run outside and you will fall up to a secret spot on the roof. Run to the left wall and pull the handle here to reveal an egg. Stomp on it for the achievement - Going Up¯. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o As you enter the room, jump to the gravity panel and as the crate comes up to the ceiling, jump over it and push it to the opposite side of the gravity panel. Return to the spot above the gravity panel and wait for it to expire. As gravity returns to normal, hit the switch one more time, then push the crate all the way to the right and use it jump up to another ledge above, jump to the right quickly to avoid the circular saw and slide down the slope to exit the room. =============================================================================== Chapter 24 [ACT24] =============================================================================== At the bottom of the slope, jump and hit the gravity panel nearby. This will activate intermittent inversions and reverting to normal gravity for the next little while. So turn up the sound on your television, you can usually pick when gravity is about to change by the sound effects and you are going to need that advantage to get through the next area. After hitting the switch, move to the platform on the right. Below you should see a horizontal turret ready to destroy anyone trying to hit the magnet control there. Unfortunately we need to hit said magnet control. When gravity is normal, wait for the sound indicating that a change to inverted gravity is nigh and use that cue to quickly run over and tag the magnet control. The gravity should change and whisk you to the safety of the ceiling. The block on the right should now be accessible, so when the gravity returns to normal jump on top of it and quickly make your way across it to the other side. Wait for gravity to right itself and stand on the girder. Below you is another horizontal gun. As gravity is about to invert, jump down and under the girder, run across the ceiling to the left and position yourself under the block. When gravity returns to normal you will drop down a small slope. Quickly run to the gap and jump as far as you can into the void when gravity is just about to change to avoid both of the nasty buzz saws. Run to the right until there is ground below and above you. This next part is very difficult and is going to take a few tries, but dont be discouraged, this is the last real challenge in the game. Wait for gravity to invert itself, and using the cues jump out to the right about 2 seconds before you think the gravity will change again. You should see a gravity panel pointing to the right. Ignore it for now and fly past it. You want to hit it after gravity changes itself back to normal and you are on the way down. If you get the timing just right you will fly beneath the saw blade and into the glass below. After a short cinematic. Press any button to get up. Simply walk as far as you can to the right to complete the game! o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o Achievements: At this point you will be awarded the achievement - Where Credit is Due, additionally, if you completed the game without dying more than five times you will earn the achievement - No Point in Dying. o~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~o =============================================================================== Hidden Egg Locations [HIDEG] =============================================================================== As well as the eggs listed in the above walkthrough for the achievements, there are an additional 10 eggs that players can pick up for a completion percentage in excess of 100%. Here is a list of both achievement-based and secret eggs listed in order of appearance in the game and a little guide on how to obtain them. ------------------ Egg 1: Chapter 1 ------------------ Achievement: Yes! - Wrong Way (5g) Location: At the very start of the game when the character wakes up, run to the left instead of the right and you should find the egg sitting on the ground. ------------------ Egg 2: Chapter 2 ------------------ Achievement: Yes! - Altitude is Attitude (5g) Location: At the point where you need to deal with the wooden box floating in the water and you climb the trees. From the tree branch you drop the broken log from, you can run and jump to the left to grab a hard to see rope. Use this to swing up to a higher platform on the left, here you can pick up the egg. ------------------ Egg 3: Chapter 8 ------------------ Achievement: No! Location: In the area with the mine cart and the rope suspended above the two spiked cogs. Climb the rope here and once the rope stops coming down, jump back to the ladder on the left. Climb up and run to the left into the previous chapter. Drop down into the first hole you come across for the egg. Quickly jump out again unless you want to be impaled by spikes ------------------ Egg 4: Chapter 9 ------------------ Achievement: No! Location: Load up chapter 9, from the start point immediately run to the left. Grab the crate and push it as far as you can to the left and position it so it is sitting on the edge of the ledge. Return to the right, scare the creature into the hamster wheel and get the rain to start. Once this has been done, run back to the crate, there should be an egg on top of it. ------------------ Egg 5: Chapter 11 ------------------ Achievement: Yes! – Its Stuck (10g) Location: Once you have ditched the brain slug in the room with the rising water, climb back down the ladder and pull the floating pipe you used earlier to jump across. Push the pipe out as far as you can to the right so that its left side is only just touching the platform. Jump on it, and then do a running jump back to the left. You will grab onto a rope partially hidden by the environment. As you pull on this, an egg will fall out of the pipe above and land on the floating pipe. ------------------ Egg 6: Chapter 14 ------------------ Achievement: Yes! – Urban Exploration (10g) Location: In the room with the lift. Move the crate up to the second level. Hit the switch to lower the platform. Hit the switch to send the lift up again, but use the crate to jump on top of the lift. Ride the lift up and as you near the top, look to the left, you should see a rope hanging off to the side. Jump over to this and an egg will pop out of a pipe higher up on the wall. Jump back to the lift and drop down to the ground level. Cruise to the right to pick up the egg. ------------------ Eggs 7: Chapter 14 ------------------ Achievement: Yes! – Alone in the Dark (10g) Location: Load up chapter 15 and climb down the ladder to the previous area. Below the ladder you will come across a dark cave. Enter the cave and follow it downwards. You will be unable to see anything. But when you hear the character step in water, jump across to the right. If successful, he will grab a platform and climb up. Run to the right to find the egg. ----------------------- Eggs 8 – 10: Chapter 14 ----------------------- Achievement: No! Location: From the location of the above egg (for the achievement Alone in the Dark), run to the right until you hit a wall. Hold the action button and hold back on the stick, you will pull out a block. Jump onto this and onwards. Continue to the right to find egg 8. Just after egg 8, listen to your characters footsteps, he will stand on something that sounds a little different. Continue to the right until you hit another wall.Jump up here, then turn around and perform a running jump to the left, he should land on the strange sounding ground and fall through to an area below. Follow the passageway down to the right to find egg 9. From here continue right until you hit a wall again, this time press down on the control stick and drop down to a platform below. Run to the right and jump up when you reach a wall. Continue to the right and you will see egg 10 below you. Listen for your footsteps, when you hear clanging drop off the platform to the right and hit the use button, pull the box out of the way, then jump down to grab the egg. ------------------ Egg 11: Chapter 16 ------------------ Achievement: Yes! – Climbing the Cog (10g) Location: Once you have the box and have reached the first large cog, jump up to the platform with the lever. Instead of pulling the lever, use the platform to jump to the large cog to the right of your current location. You should be able to climb it. Make your way over to the opposite side of the cog and you should see the egg. ------------------ Egg 12: Chapter 17 ------------------ Achievement: No! Location: After starting the room rotating for the first time and you climb the first cog, continue to climb it and head all the way over the top of it and to the right. In the darkness above the cog you will find the egg. ------------------ Egg 13: Chapter 18 ------------------ Achivement: Yes! - Backtracking (10g) Location: After ditching the brain slug on the conveyors, stand on the left hand side of the third conveyor and wait for the crusher to descend, use one of the crates to jump up and grab onto the right hand ledge of the crusher. Ride it to the top and when it is safe to do so, jump down to the left. When the crusher comes down again, hang onto the left side of it and at the top, jump across to the hanging ladder nearby. Climb to the top and follow the passageway to the right to find an egg, squish it for the achievement. ------------------ Egg 14: Chapter 19 ------------------ Achievement: Yes! - Guided by Sparks (10g) Location: After the level rotation puzzle in the chapter you will end up on a platform with an electrified wall to the right, and in front of it a hard to spot wooden crate. Push this up against the electric wall and get on top of it. Jump to the left to climb up onto a hidden platform. From here jump to the ledge above the electric wall to find an egg ------------------ Egg 15: Chapter 21 ------------------ Achievement: No! Location: Load up chapter 21 and drop down into the pit. Grab the box furthest to the right and push it over and activate the gravity switch. When The timer expires, quickly drag this same box to the right wall, so that when the other box returns, they have changed places. push the box that is now furthest to the right past the switch and up the hill. Let the box go and run and jump onto the second box to reach the starting platform. Once the gravity switch has been activated and the time expires, grab the box as it is sliding down the ramp. Look at it closely and make sure the top of the box has a couple of small protrusions on it (if not, repeat the previous step until the two protrusions are facing upwards). Push the box all the way back to the previous chapter and push it beneath the vertical gun turret. It should blow a hole in the top of the box. Push the box all the way back to where you found it, and an egg will fall out of it. ------------------ Egg 16: Chapter 21 ------------------ Achievement: Yes! - Under Ground (10g) Location: Run up to the elevator and press down. You will climb down the edge. Jump to the chain here and climb all the way to the bottom to find an egg. ------------------ Egg 17: Chapter 21 ------------------ Achievement: No! Location: When you reach the room with the lift and the pair of gravity switches, liberate the two boxes and invert gravity so they ar both in the same area. Put gravity back to normal and bring the two boxes to the elevator. Push one box to the ground level to the left of the elevator, and the second box into the elevator. From here, if your timing is ok, you can push the elevator box ontop of the other to have a double stack. Bring the elevatro down to ground level and slowly and carefully load them onto it. Hit the switch and ascend with them. Slowly push the box to the right hand wall of the room and climb the ladder. Hit the gravity switch to bring the double stack to the roof next to you. Push the double stack slowly to the left as far as you can go. Then use them to jump up to a higher platform on the left. Follow this to the end for an egg. ------------------ Egg 18: Chapter 23 ------------------ Achievement: No! Location: Load up chapter 23, run to the top of the vertical wall and jump to the gravity switch and land on the H when it is safe to do so. Wait for the saw to go back down again, then jump across from the H to the top of the vertical wall. Wait until you can barely hear the saw at all any more, and then perform arunning jump to the left, as you fall hit the gravity panel to be tossed back to the vertical wall. Return to the top and jump to the H again, this time jump off to the platform to the right of the H and you will see an egg fall down from a pipe. ------------------ Egg 19: Chapter 23 ------------------ Achievement: No! Location: Load up chapter 12. Jump across the neon H to the letter O. You should see a line running through the centre of it. At the end of this line is a handle. We cannot use this yet, but we can position it to where we are able to use it late rin the game. Rotate the O by walking slowly near its edges until the handle is pointing about 2/3 of the way down the right hand side of the O. Now play through the game until chapter 23. After getting past the H here, ride the rope down to the O, if you placed it correcly earlier, the handle should be within reaching distance of the solid platform to the right. Pull the handle and the egg will pop out! ------------------ Egg 20: Chapter 24 ------------------ Achievement: No! Location: This egg appears after the short cinematic following the final puzzle. It will only appear if you have started a new game, played through the entire game in one sitting and have not died once.
