Introduction@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ We thought we would start off 2004 a little early with an action guns a blazing kind of Game/Guide. We hope this guide helps you in your trouble spots and remember like the game says... Utilize the Terrain Take cover Take Aim Take over Remember that and you will do well. ^^^^^^^^^^^ ^IIa. Tips^ ^^^^^^^^^^^ 1. Watch out for some guys that just play dead then end up shooting at you. 2. To sneak around corners when you are hugging the wall and at a corner push triangle and the direction that you need to go to sneak around it (works with most objects you take cover at. 3. I don't think I need to tell you this but pick up all weapons from dead enemies you may need it after all this is a shooting game. 4. I won't be telling you where health or ammo is since it's fairly obvious and they are usually together in this game. It's usually along your path or sometimes it's in a closet/room to the side. 5. When you are on a blue swirly action/use thing be sure to move the camera so it is facing the thing you need to interact with you will know you are facing it because it will give a message to push triangle to do the action. 6. When throwing grenades hold down the button longer to throw them farther and Aim higher to throw farther as well. 7. To avoid the trip wires depending on if they are up high or down low either jump over them or crouch and walk under them. 8. When taking cover be sure to push up against the object/wall. 9. Some have gone into the decontamination room and the door won't open on the other side. Just be sure you are standing in the center of the blue area and wait until it is done decontaminating. You may want to reset your game if it doesn't open to try to fix this issue. 10. When someone is shooting at you and you have no cover try moving side instead of straight at them you will get hit less. (((((((((((((((((( )III. Walkthrough( )))))))))))))))))) I should mention I don't mention where most soldiers appear after all that is one of the fun factors of this game the unknown this is mainly to help you on how to get through the missions. I don't cover the what happens story-wise since I figure your playing the game and you will find it out for yourself plus I wouldn't want to spoil to much for you. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Training Simulator $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Mission: "Start Your Engine" This is where you should get use to the controls if you haven't played the demo before this. If you have played the demo this should be a breeze. If not just follow the directions on what to do and do the best you can. Scene Save Point ********************* Level 1. Middle East ********************* ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: "Opening Move" Scene You will need to head around the side of the building and into the building's foyer. You will see a staircase towards the back of this area to the right. Once you have taken care of all the guys here you need to go up those stairs and go into the first doorway on your left over the plank and into the next building. Go around to the the other side of this building there is a plank to cross again and then go up the stairs. Go out to the roof and look out for the guys on the left shoot the explosive barrel near them to take them out quicker. Cross over the plank that is near them into the next building. Save Point ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: "Slight Change of Plan" Scene Run down to where the first aid kit is if you need it otherwise go to the right. Head up the stairs and go down the hallway to the doorway that leads to a ledge take this ledge to the opening on the far end to sneak up on the turret guy and take them out on your right. Then go straight up the stairs at the end of the hall. Make your way through the rooms to avoid falling into the holes in the floor. Go across the two planked bridge over to the other building. In the far door way in the back on the right your target is in there kill him (a little side note if you don't kill him he will run away from you and you will have to chase him. down to kill him.) Scene Save Point ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: "What's in the Box" For those that have played the demo of this game this mission will look very familiar and you should know where to go in that case. To me it seems they made this level a bit less fun even though it's still fun or not as challenging maybe would be better word compared to how it was in the demo but that might just be me. For those that haven't played the demo. Head straight ahead and take cover and take out the guy in the window. Make your way through the rest of this area to the far end Use the turret to take out the guys here then use the stairs in that far room of this area to go up and then go out the big hole in the wall. Make your way around this area to the blue swirly action/use thing near the truck. Scene Save Point ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Level 2. Caspian Sea @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Mission: "Think like a Gun" Scene Sneak up to the corner and throw a grenade right between the two guys and they won't move they will be to busy talking. Make your way to the far end of the oil rig killing anyone that gets in your way. Be sure to watch out for the guys on the ledges above those I usually didn't end up seeing until they shot at me. Go into the control room with the swirly blue thing and unlock the door. Then go to the door with the blue swirly action/use thing. Save Point ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: "They Can Bill Me" You will need to take out everyone that gets in your way like normal. Here is a diagram to show you roughly where you need to head to plant C4 ======Helipad================================================================ II II II TR II II II II II II II II II II CC II II DA II II EL II II II II ==============II II II II II II GR II II II ===================================================================Door====== (Legend) Door = Door you came out of at the start of this mission. GR = Generator Room CC = Comm Center TR = Transformer Room DA = Drilling Area EL = Elevator Plant C4 at all the locations depicted/Shown on the diagram that have the blue swirly action/use things in front of them. Then use the Elevator and get on it. Save Point ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: "Minimum Safe Distance" Scene All I've got to say about this Mission is very annoying mission. You will probably be doing this mission over and over and over. You can die very easy in this mission from to many gunshots all at once. I can't help you much here best I can say is run like hell since you only have 7 min timer counting down and take cover when you need to and take every single person you run into out. There will be health along your way usually on walls (look around for them). Watch out for guys on ledges also. Once you reach the end you will see a blue swirly action/use thing use the control panel there to deploy the Submersible Transport. Scene Save Point ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- #################### Level 3. North Korea #################### Scene Mission: "Don't Hate the Player" Kill everyone in this room and you have a fork here you can go either way (doesn't really matter), but for walkthrough purposes go left then and keep turning left when you can down the hallways and get a key card from one of the soldiers you kill he will have a swirlly thing on him. Go back to the blue swirly action/use thing you passed earlier and use the key card on the panel (if you need health and ammo use the keycard on the panel on the far side of the room you just opened and health is near the turret). Go left and down the hall with the pillars. Go through the window and follow the path around either way (I’d recommend right though). You will see a blue swirly thing to your left don't go to it yet instead follow the hall to the right. You will come to a door that will open with a blue swirly thing in it get onto the blue swirly action/use thing right in the center (point camera towards other door and it should give you message Waiting for decontamination process). Then go into the next room once the door opens. Go into the room with the blue swirly action/use thing and get the Nerve Agent. Head back to the elevator with the blue swirly action/use thing you saw earlier to end this mission. Save Point ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: "Alarmed" Scene (There is a bridge I don't mention in this mission it leads to a recreation room with a pool table, health, ammo and guns. I'm pretty sure you can find it on your own.) Same as usually take out everyone in your way. Turn off alarms when they are set off. Don't go up the stairs yet, instead go through the building and use the console at the blue swirly action/use thing near the raised bridge. Now go up the stairs you pasted earlier when you get up them go to the blue swirly thing and turn on the power. Make your way back to the bridge that didn't have power. Lower it then cross it. Save Point ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: "Submission" Make your way to the Submarine. Go to the both blue swirly action/use things and place demolition charges. Run for it and get away from the sub before it blows. Go back to where you started this mission at and get a key card from one of the soldiers along the way. From the stairs you just came down go to the left there is a blue swirly action/use thing that appears once you have the key card use it there and open the door. Save Point ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: "Launch Party" Scene Make your way past the soldiers in the various halls and rooms until you reach the blue swirly action/use thing use the Nerve Agent. Go back and go towards the blue swirly action/use thing on your left. Scene Save Point ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Level 4. Temple Ruins %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Scene Mission: " Furious Angel scene You will need to avoid red tripwires in this mission by either jumping or crouching and walking. This is fairly linear mission follow the path. when you get to the large area you will see a blue swirly action/use thing near a turret use to the right of where that blue swirly action/use thing is a hole you can drop down into find the control panel (it's to the right at the fork) with the blue swirly action/use thing in front of it. Make your way back to that other blue swirly action/use thing you saw with the turret earlier and go in that door. Go to the left a 1 minute timer will start counting down kill everyone in here then run to the doorway with the stairs going down. Save Point ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: "The Rabbit Hole" Can't help you much here Avoid the tripwires and follow the path to the end of the mission. Scene Save Point Scene < (Favorite Scene of this game) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: "Clever Girl" Same as last mission minus the tripwires follow the path to the end of the mission. Save Point ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: "All The Things She Said" Scene Same as last two missions run and shoot to end of mission. check body where the blue swirly action/use thing is. Scene Save Point &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& Level 5. Archer Base &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& Scene Mission: "False Front" This mission is pretty straight forward. On this mission you need to go into two different warehouses and get one key card from inside each. You shouldn't have to much trouble finding them just look for the blue swirly action/use things they are both on the first floor of the warehouses. Once you have both key cards use it on the gate controls with the blue swirly action/use thing in front of it and go through the gate. Scene Save Point ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: "The Real Thing" This mission was fairly difficult because there seemed like a never ending flow of guys. They do eventually stop though. If you are having as much trouble as I did when I first got to this mission. I actually have a fairly good place for you to take cover at. Well it helped me to get pass this part. Here is the Diagram it will show you roughly where to take cover at. ***************************************************************************** =====================Sniper====================================== II Health II IIWMGCF II II Truck II II II II Truck II II II II Crate II II II II RH II II II II II II Truck II II II II Starting Point II II Health II ================================================================= (Legend) RH = Ramp Hole WMGCF = Where more guys come from Crate = The crate you should use for cover ***************************************************************************** First you want to take cover at RH and throw a grenade at the truck in front of the Crate. Then take cover behind that Crate. Another diagram to tell you where to shoot ***************************************************************************** ======================= II II II Truck II ------------ II II I I II II I I II II I I II II I I II II I I II II I I =====_==============_=============== I S (_) (_) I=========I I I I Crate I I I I I I=========I Legend S = Where you need to lean out and shoot through (Move around the crosshairs until it turns red then fire and you should hit some soldiers in the legs before they try coming around the back of the truck to get you.). _ (_) = Tires of the truck near the crate ***************************************************************************** Once you have taken out all the guys go to the right and kill the sniper and then kill the guy in the back of the truck on the far right near the health. Continue on you will come to some stairs be sure to kill soldiers on both sides at the top of the stairs. Go through the door at the top to the right is a blue swirly action/use thing use it to contact Duchess and. Clear this area of Soldiers. Go to the door with the blue swirly action/use thing in front of it. Scene Save Point Mission: "Checkmate" Make it through this area to the other side with the blue swirly action/use thing to unlock the door go out the door you just unlocked and take out all the soldiers in this area (look out for the guy on top of the crane he has a rocket launcher and the guy with the turret near the waterfall) and make you way to the blue swirly thing in front of the crane control panel. Save Point Mission: "Versus" Scene Use the crane control panel. Go forward and kill all the enemies here. When you have killed them all it will tell you to Eliminate Archer (get the health if you need it near the control panel if you haven't used it yet). Move forward and Archer will come out of the door take cover behind the single crate/box/block there that you should have just slightly passed to the left. Shoot archer until he dies he will roll around a lot. I should warn you If you take cover closer up he will start rolling towards you and you will have to start backing up while shooting him. I would recommend just using that single black method that I said about before it's easier.
