It will cover(when it's completed) stratagies to beat every level in the game as well as having a complete list if all the wanzer parts and pilot skills available in the game. Conserve your AP. Only move as far as you need to in order to get in range, because double shots are always a good thing. 2. Heal wisely. A wanzer is no good if the body is gone, always heal the wanzers low in Body HP and Arm HP first, they can still move even if their legs are destroyed. 3. Destroy EMP units first. You don't come up against many until later in the game, but these guys cause a lot of pain if left alone. 4. Stay close to Missleers. They have a minimum range, take advantage of it. 5. Stay away from Melee units. They can only attack units who are adject to them, and they spend very little amounts of AP when they attack so never attack them while you are right next to them(unless you're higher than them, they can't attack units who are at a higher elevation than them). 6. Link Smart. Missles, grenades, and rockets can't be linked to. Always link to the units with the most AP(they can't join in a linked battle if they don't have enough AP). 7. Gang up. A close team is a happy team. Until you learn how to link you don't attack the same enemy unless you chose to, so always set your units up to attack the same enemy(two guys with a little damage taken are more dangerous than one enemy at full health). *Walkthrough* Tutorial Enemies - 2 Weather conditions - Day, clear Objective - Follow Zead's commands Latona Body HP - 290 Left arm HP - 175 Right arm HP - 175 Leg HP - AP - 10 Weapon - Gale Shotgun Beck Body HP - 290 Left arm HP - 175 Right arm HP - 175 Leg HP - AP - 10 Weapon - Gale Shotgun After a couple of cutscenes you will be asked by Zead to complete some tutorials to get you used to your wanzer. First, move to the highlighted square, this will take two turns so don't try to do it in one. Once you have done that Zead will call on two other wanzers, they will be your opponents in the tutorial(don't worry they're easy) you get one turn to fire on them before they attack so follow the on-screen instructions and fire. After that Latona gets mad and requests permission to attack, Zead refuses but she attacks anyway, and Beck joins her. It's their turn so just wait and watch your wanzer take damage. They won't kill you so don't use your item this stage, you'll need it later. Once your turn comes DON'T MOVE, you're already within range to fire upon the closest wanzer so just shoot and end your turn. Now they'll shoot at you again, but this time you'll couter attack. But how come you're attacking now but you weren't last turn? Because you didn't have enough AP the turn before(see why I told you to stand still now?). repeat this process until both wanzers are toast(move only if you arn't close enough to shoot). Now you'll go back to HQ and you'll get briefed on how to upgrade your piolet. Once the tutorial ends buy Evade +3%, Terror shot, Panic shot, MG level +1. Equip the skills and select "Move Out" to go to the next stage. Stage 1 Enemies - 3 Weather Conditions: Day, Clear Objective: Destroy all enemy units MG Assault 1 Body HP - 350 Left arm HP - 175 Right arm HP - 175 Leg HP - 230 AP - 10 Weapons - Raptor Machine Gun, Raptor Machine Gun MG Assault 2 Body HP - 350 Left arm HP - 175 Right arm HP - 175 Leg HP - 230 AP - 10 Weapons - Raptor Machine Gun, Raptor Machine Gun SG/MG Assault 1 Body HP - 350 Left arm HP - 175 Right arm HP - 175 Leg HP - 230 AP - 10 Weapons - Raptor Machine Gun, Gale Shotgun Yeah! Your first real mission! This is another simple mission, just remeber what you learned about conserving AP and you should be fine. Throughout the duration of the battle keep Elsa up close to the enemy using her shotgun and using only the amount of AP neccisary to keep the enemy in your range for movement. You get Zead on this stage, he has a missle launcher so keep him in the far back lobbing missles at the unit that Elsa is currently attacking. If you need to use an item to stay alive then use it, but only if you KNOW that you'll lose someone if you don't. Once the battle ends Elsa finds a microchip in one of the destroyed wanzers. It's time to go back to Germany! Stage 2 Enemies - 5 Weather Conditions - Day-Night, Clear Objectives: Destroy all enemy units, the Durandal transport must survive. You have 5 units to deal with, but lucky for you Hermes comes along for the ride. He's a repair unit so make good use of him, his repair backpack has a range of 3, keep Elsa in that range and heal her whenever she needs it(Zead won't be seeing a lot of action sice you should be keeping him in the back lobbing missles). When the battle starts move Elsa toward the two enemy wanzers west of where you start, and move Hermes close to her so he can heal. The next turn attack with Elsa and move Hermes closer so he can join in later, also attack with Zead(if you arn't within range do so). Repeat this until those two wanzers go down(make sure Elsa and Hermes keep their HP up). By now the Heli pilots should be attacking your transport, don't worry about them, they'll only attack the transport and it has PLENTY of HP. Focus on the remaining Melee unit, stay out of it's range at all times though, Wanzers with Melee weapons almost always counter-attack if you're within range due to only spending 1 AP to attack. Once the Melee unit is no more concentrate your fire on the Heli pilots, it should be night by now so move Elsa and Hermes close whenever you attack(missles don't lost accuracy due to weather conditions). Okay, you have a Melee/SG unit, a Rifle unit, and a repair backpack unit against two tanks a missleer, and two MG units...sounds like fun! Keep Renges in the back, the Rifle has an extrodanaraly long range, and keep Chaefer next to Darril, Darril will be taking most(if not all) of the damage, so heal wisly. Here you'll use a basic stratagy of teaming up all of your forces on one enemy at a time, unfortunatly the enemy must have figured this out themself's because they'll do just that to poor Darril. Conserve AP, repair when needed, and you'll do fine(keep close when fighting the missleer, those missles hurt). Stage 4 Enemies - 6 Weather Conditions: Overcast, Day Objective: Destroy all enemy units Base Cannon 1 HP - 500 Weapon: VB CN03 Cannon Base Cannon 2 HP - 500 Weapon: VB CN03 Cannon Jammer 1 Body HP - 600 Left Arm HP - 300 Right Arm HP - 300 Leg HP - 400 Weapons: Light Buster Knuckle, Light Buster Knuckle Jammer 2 Body HP - 600 Left Arm HP - 300 Right Arm HP - 300 Leg HP - 400 Weapons: Light Buster Knuckle, Light Buster Knuckle SG Assault 1 Body HP - 320 Left Arm HP - 160 Right Arm HP - 160 Leg HP - 215 Weapons: Gale Shotgun, Gale Shotgun SG Assault 2 Body HP - 320 Left Arm HP - 160 Right Arm HP - 160 Leg HP - 215 Weapons: Gale Shotgun, Gale Shotgun Nice goin' Darril...oh well, we'll just have to make due eh? First off, notice the two cannons to your right and left, these guys are more of a thret then they look so move all of you units into position and fire on one of them(switch Darril to his Shotgun, melee weapons can't attack units above their own elevation). The cannon you attack should go down on the first try, but if it dosn't use one of your guys to finish it off while the other two focus on the other one. After you destroy both cannons the wanzers will come towards you, it'll take a couple of turns so use this time to heal. When they reach your position gang up on them like you did with the cannons, and heal whenever nesisary(and remember not to go toe to toe with the Jammer). Before you finish off the first two wanzers the others will start towards you, but you should be able to finish the first two before the others come close enough to do any damage. Continue to heal and gang up on the enemy and you'll make it through just fine. These things are EXREAMLY dangerous, and you'll learn to hate them(when they're used against you anyways). When the battle starts you'll notice a lone polish wanzer close to the enemies. Chances are you'll won't be able to save him before he goes down, but if you can save him do so, the enemy unit will mostly attack only him, so him remaining alive will ensure your success. If he dies you'll have to destroy them the old fasion way. You'll have links for this battle so be smart while attacking and you can do extra damage. The bazooka units won't get close enough to attack for a little while, but once they get within range focus all fire on them. This mission is VERY difficult, mainly due to the fact that the enemies are pretty strong, and they focus on one unit at a time, so expect to do some major healing here. Your first targets will be the two tanks in the road, target one at a time and they'll drop in no time(don't use any missles yet, you'll need them later). While you fight the tanks the two enemies to the south will advance, they'll reach you by the time you destroy the tanks. Focus on the sniper first, block him in and attack him till' he drops. Then take out the Assault that was next to him. You'll have a short break before the next set of enemies advance so take this time to heal. Now here comes the hard part, the next two enemies will advance, take them out as usual, but before you have a chance to destroy them both Dranz and the other Sniper will advance. If you followed my advice earlier you will have plenty of missles to barage Dranz with(he is the most dangerous of the four), so while you attack the other units get in range to attack Dranz and the Sniper with your missles. When you first start the fight, you might feel overwhelmed, don't worry, it's natural to feel that way when staring down an elite army(at least to this point of the game) of 11 Wanzers. Your first task is to take down the assaults direcly in front of you, starting with the closest one, if you use your links wisly you should take each one down in about a turn. Now it's time to take care of the Heli pilots surrounding the castle, make your way around with everyone but Zead, DON'T USE HIS MISSLES, you will NEED them later, if you've already used some, that's fine, just don't use any more. After you defeat the Heli Pilots you'll have to make the LONG treck back around the castle. While you make your way around heal the entire time. When you get back, bring everyone, except Bosch, around Zead. Send Bosch up near the closest Grenade Launcher to you, once you get within sensor range have Zead pound it every turn. After about 5 turns it will go down. After you take care of that, take a few turns to repair Bosch and prepare to take down the Wanzers on the ramp(Note: Feel free to use Zead's missles now, you may need them to take out the rest of the enemies). While you tango with the Assaults, the Snipers will advance, don't worry about them, just take on one Wanzer at a time and heal every turn. After a painful battle with the Snipers and Assaults take several turns to heal, you'll need your team in top condition for the last part of this battle. Once every one is rested up, send Elsa(or your fastest unit, if it's not her) up near Wagner and the last Assault(and a Sniper, if he retreated earlier), once they start chasing you bring whoever was the live bait back towards the rest of the army. If Zead had any missles left get Wagner within Bosch's sensor range and pound him every turn, with a pair of Zeige Magineguns he is the most powerful unit in this battle. Take down Wgner first, then the remaining units, once all the Wanzers are down, send your team up to the last Grenade Launcher and gang up on it, it'll go down in a turn or so. Stage 8 Enemies - 4 Weather Conditions: Night, Clear Objective: Destoy all enemy units MG Assault 1 Body HP - 400 Left Arm HP - 200 Right Arm HP - 200 Leg HP - 270 Weapons: Type 67 Machinegun, Type 67 Machinegun MG Assault 2 Body HP - 400 Left Arm HP - 200 Right Arm HP - 200 Leg HP - 270 Weapons: Type 67 Machinegun, Type 67 Machinegun Vavilov Body HP - 630 Left Arm HP - 315 Right Arm HP - 315 Leg HP - 420 Weapons: Ogon Rod, Ogon Rod Ivanovna Body HP - 630 Left Arm HP - 315 Right Arm HP - 315 Leg HP - 420 Weapon: Rizhanka Rifle Dude, that girl is creepy. Okay, you're back to Darril's team, when you first start Vavilov and one of the Assaults. Take care of the Assault first, seeing as he will be within your range first, just gang up on him as usual, keep an eye on your health, Vavilov will most likly reach you before you defeat the Assault. After he is gone take care of Vavilov, he will focus on one of your units so put that unit up on one of the crates in the area, Melee weapons can't hit units abouve their own elevation. Heal up and move on towards Ivanovna, take care of the Assault first, and again, watch your health. Now take care of Ivanovna, she will most likly retreat to a rooftop, so keep on her, gang on her and she will eventually fall. Stage 9 Enemies - 3 Weather Conditions: Night, Clear Objective: Destroy all enemy units Zhuk(Ivanovna) Body HP - 4500 Weapons: Zhuk 1 Machinegun, Zhuk 1 Cannon, Zhuk 1 Missle Launcher MG Assault 1 Body HP - 400 Left Arm HP - 200 Right Arm HP - 200 Leg HP - 270 Weapons: Type 67 Machinegun, Type 67 Machinegun MG Assault 2 Body HP - 400 Left Arm HP - 200 Right Arm HP - 200 Leg HP - 270 Weapons: Type 67 Machinegun, Type 67 Machinegun Okay, before you freak out because one of the enemies has 4500 HP, remember, there are only 3 of them. When you start, target the large mobile unit(the Zhuk) and do NOT attack anyone else, sure it can be a little painful to do it this way, but it'll make your life a heck-of-a- lot easier if you do. After a few round of shooting away at the Zhuk the Assault units will get within range and attack as well, like I said before, ignore them, if they get in your line of fire, just move out of the way and continue to pound on Ivanovna. Once the Zhuk goes down take out the remaining Assaults, they should be weakend a little from counter attacks so you shouldn't have too hard of a time taking them out. Anyways, your first targets should be the melee units directly ahead of you, keep a safe distance while firing and never attack within one square of them. After a couple of turns of pegging the enemy Jammers, two new units appear on the east side of the map, they're allies so make good use of them. One of them is a grenader, she is also good with Bazookas and Rockets, the other is a Shotgun/Machinegun unit like Elsa. Luis also has some items in his backpack, so use them if you need to in order to stay alive. Put Luis right into the midst of the two Assaults right next to you and just keep shooting them, and healing occasionaly, to take them out ASAP. On Darril's side of the equasion you'll have to take care of a couple of assaults as well, right after you beat the Jammers. Move towards Luis and Ines with Darril's team while you fight them, Luis will most likely need some repair work done(the Assaults do quite a number on him), so heal him as soon as you get within range. After you finish the remaining assaults with your combined firepower, there will be two Heli Pilots left, just gang up on them and you'll be fine. The key to beating this mission is binging your forces together and quickly eleminating each target as it gets within range. Your squad starts off seperated, so your first task is bringing it back together. With the units closest to the enemy, slowly move towards your other team mates' position while fending off the enemy, with the other two further away from the enemy, do the same thing. Once your squad is reunited, it becomes a pretty standerd affair, just combine firepower and focus on oneenemy at a time(hit the missles first, they are more dangerous). Once Wagner gets in range focus all guns on him, no matter what. After he falls, mop up the remaining units close to you and move towards Dranz's position, healing along the way. Once you get close enough focus on Dranz and Dranz only, the faster he goes down the less painful Bazooka shots you'll have to endure. When he is finished, destroy the rest of the enemy units and you're done! The battle field is split into several little islands, you start on the larger one with two assaults breathing down your back. Quickly move into position and start attacking the assaults, while you are battling the assaults a grenader will start moving towards you. After a couple of turns it gets into position to strike, once it does focus your guns on him until he goes down. Once you take care of the grenader and the assaults you'll have to track down the rest of the enemies. This is harder than it sounds, the enemies are surrounded by water, you get go through the water, but it takes 2 AP for each square you move(cutting your movement in half), the enemy, on the other hand, has jetpacks, so they can move normally, putting you at a huge dissadvantage. As always focus on one enemy at a time, healing anyne who gets seriously injured, they usually only bunch up into groups of two or three, so focusing on one at a time shouldn't be too hard. With 3000 HP it can take a beating, but it will be the main focus of all the enemies that get close enough to attack it. There are two wanzers between you and the hideout, go past them, shoot at them as you pass, but go as fast as you can. Once you get there, you have to fend off two Heli Pilots and a Tank, the narrow streets make it hard to combine attacks, so use your three strongest attack units to take care of the Copters and the Tank, while the other two focus on the Wanzers that were following you. After those enemies are destroyed the hideout is safe, for now, Alianza Reinforcements arrive right after the main force attacking the hideout is destroyed. Have them focus fire on the units close to their starting position, and have Darril's squad make their way towards them. But make sure you keep some people near the hideout, two Heli Pilots will make their way over the stream and start raining missles on it, so make sure you are ready to deal with them. There are two ways to beat this mission, the easy way or the hard way. I prefer the latter myself but I will write both stratagies. Easy Way: Combine the two teams and attack one of the groups of four. Attack the Heli Pilot first and then the rest of the units. Once the group of four goes down the other units start retreating. Just keep pressing "End Turn" until the Mission ends. Hard Way: Seperate the two teams, send the Alianza south and Darril's squad north. Have Alianza block the path of the three units to the south so they can't escape, defeat them ASAP and West and block that road. Have Darril's squad attack the group of four to the North, don't destroy the fourth enemy until Alainza has created the road block. Now chase down the remaining group of four and use your combined firepower to destroy them quickly. Note: The "Hard Way" will get you more funds and EP, as well as a set of Wanzer arms with built in weapons, and simulator 10. But it takes less time, and is much less dificult, to do the "Easy Way".
