Instead, having fewer rooms and more twists and turns in your mazes will attract more monsters. * Use EVERY space of your dungeon. Don't leave any out since the number of corridors and rooms count towards your dungeon rating, make lots of corridors and rooms! Fill the whole dungeon up to get a good rating! * Tile sets may not matter which monsters appears in your dungeon but they DO increase the % of them increasing, for example on the 1st level, dirt floors attract bats more easily then a wood tile or a stone floor. * if you find that your dungeon is messed up too much, don't worry and just erase the whole dungeon! You'll get everything you used in there back and at no cost too! * Remember about the Chapel and the Altars! while its good to have an even numbers of both running around,the undead tend to appear more frequently and they are really irritating as they don't drop anything worthwhile besides gold. Also, before you acquire a Holy Weapon or the Holy Ring spell, it'll take a while to kill them. * It's also good to have certain levels dedicated to the undead and the living!as the game goes on you will need to fight certain undeads. * Remember that in certain levels, only certain mobs will come so if you want to place a room like the study in level 3, make sure there some monsters that will make use of the study room because in level 3,NO monsters will ever appear in your studies unlike in dungeon level 2 and level 4 . * Also remember that certain rooms will attract certain monsters for example Nekometas only appear in fruit tree rooms and luxurious rooms,and will not appear in any other types of rooms. * While + intersections may be a good idea as it would allow easy access to many different areas of your dungeon. Don't use too many of them as monsters would steer away from them,instead they prefer L and T corridors just as the mysterious old man have said, " you're not building a city here! " * Treasure rooms may be good to have in dungeons but as the % of the rooms getting used is based on HOW far away the room is from your elevator and corners will give a 99% chance of getting an item. Make good use of it * On The Point Of Treasure Rooms, Remember That not only the Floor it is on, but also the quality of the room affects what kinds of treasure you get. * There are three kinds of treasure rooms. They are Stone - The first one, not good for much, except for getting bracelets and useless rings. Iron- The second and much better than stone, Because you can find all sorts of armor and quest objectives in them. Silver - Why Random Dungeons Exist. You Can Complete many objectives in these lovely rooms. * Empty rooms do nothing but occupy space, and you should always modify them into something better such as a guest room even if you already have 10 guest rooms in your dungeon to maximize your dungeon rating. The only real time plain rooms are useful is if you are trying to harvest ingredients, as most of the ingredient monsters like these rooms, along with bare corridors. * You don't need to build your dungeon like you're planning to dump your enemy in it unless you're planning on playing ad hoc but remember that you're attracting monsters that like to hide in it,so make it like a maze * While boss rooms will not spawn any more bosses after you've killed the boss,you shouldn't remove it unless you're sure that the 9 boxes it requires can be used effectively since it will minus your dungeon rating. ---------------- 2- Battle and general tips ---------------- * Don't block unless you have to since it is rather easy to dodge attacks. * For dodging, timing is the key and since this game combat system is kind of slow,it should be easy to dodge attacks and get a back-stab on the monsters. * Friendly fire is enabled for the monsters!so if you find you're getting ganged,remember that you can use another monster as a meat shield! * Try to memorize certain enemies weakness and strengths. usually monsters are colored according to their elements. * Don't attack monsters with their own elemental attribute since it will be a waste of time and in the case of spells, mp. as the attacks wont even do one damage. * If possible attack with their weakness ^_^. it will do MASSIVE damage and most probably kill them in 1 hit. FYI : Flame does 999 damage to ice slimes. * Holy ring is THE attack to use against undead until dungeon level 3 if you're not a Mage. Water is the next best thing to use against the undead. * Remember to bring potions especially rebirth potions as they will stay with you until you actually use them as a status effect which is noted as a HEART icon above your hp bar. * All weapons have the ability to stun but blunt weapons like clubs or morning stars have added stun percentage. * Return?Warp?Mark? these are really useful spells later on when you get a bigger dungeon and they all costs 0 mana except warp which costs 5!!! * When feeding your roots,remember that what you feed is irreplaceable and once u Max its xp out. its stuck at that stats, so plan carefully. * Don't be afraid of dying as it doesn't take or cost anything besides wasting 1 day in-game as you will be warped out of the dungeon. * Remember that your inventory space and equipment space is limited,so always sell your items at the start of the end of each day. * Shops don't stock above 99 and most shops only stock 1-10 of each room or item a day so remember not to let it reach its Max and always,if you can,buy out the stalls especially the build and food stall. * Magic,is the key to staying alive against undead monsters and bosses. * While the armor shop may not receive new equipment for sale, whatever you sell to him is added to the Buy list. the same goes for the magic shop which sells rings or magic based items. * Random dungeons are a good way to get some better items, if you can stand the one enemy that they have. * The Ranking rings may be the best rings you have for a while, so be sure to not sell them,as they will not be given or sold again in the game. * remember to pay the old man 1 gilbert each day for tips on building a more effective dungeon. * if you're lost always remember to check out your fortune at the magic shop! ------------ 3- Ranks and its rewards ------------ kills - ring - ring effects ---------------------------------------- 50 -fighter - Effect +3 Strength 500 -warrior - Effect +3 Solid 1000 -prominent - Effect +20 Health 2000 -high warrior - Effect +5 Solid 5000 -high master - Effect +5 Strength 20000 -lord - Effect + 200 hp 100000 -overlord - Effect + 200 mp -------------- 4- Quests -------------- All in all so far there are 7 people giving quests in the game. The wise old man, armorer , magic shop twins , Museum caretaker, Apothecary witch, Buyer and the Girl, which becomes available when you achieve the rank of High master. The quests walkthrough will go in order of the quest log. ------------------------ 4.1- Black Bat Fang - Old man ------------------------ Well he wants a bat fang! Simple enough, just build a couple of pathways on your dungeon and leave the floorboard as it is and wait for bats to come in and hang around then kill them and retrieve their fangs. Reward -> Blade root and the Roots tutorial. ------------------------ 4.2- Wild Cat Claw - Old man ------------------------ Now he wants some Cat claws! Return to your dungeon,add some rooms,furbish the pathways with woodgrain floorboards and ta-da!cats come scurrying into your dungeon! Now murder them and chop off their claws for the oh-so-very sick old man! -> still on dungeon level 1 :/ Reward -> A couple of corridors. ------------------------ 4.3 - Robber Goblin - Old man ------------------------ By now you should have a moderate dungeon with a score of about 20 odd. get the storage room from the build shop and build a couple on dungeon level1 then wait a few days and he'll eventually turn up. Then you can rip his guts out as an act of vengeance on behalf of the old geezer. Reward -> Wind root ------------------------ 4.4 - The Lich - Old man ------------------------ Dungeon level 2! build a guest room and he'll turn up! then make sure his head is chopped off so he wont return from the underworld anymore! Reward -> Fire root ------------------------ 4.5 - Dr. Kobold - Old man ------------------------ Build a study room in level 3 then give the Kobold the beating he deserves the next day! Reward -> Ice root ------------------------ 4.6 - Corrupt Warrior - Old man ------------------------ This one is in level 4. get a parlor with a mid sized room Right door and he'll turn out there, then Cure him of life. Reward -> Holy Root ------------------------ 4.9 - Kobold Ring -Museum caretaker ------------------------ He wants a ring for his frail fingers!beat up some Kobolds on dungeon level1 and 2 and they'll drop the ring for you. Reward -> 1000 Gilberts ------------------------ 4.10 - Bone Ring - Museum Caretaker ------------------------ As if his fingers aren't boney enough,he wants a BONE ring now! level 2 of your dungeon should be filled with the undead so go break some of the skeletons bones and maybe they'll drop their finger joints for you ;-) Reward -> 1200 Gilberts ------------------------ 4.11 - Skull - Museum Caretaker ------------------------ He wants another skull! Psst does anyone think he's building a skeleton army besides me? Anyway just go give the skeleton head-shots now and their skulls will drop in awe of your awesome bone breaking skills. Hit Their Weak Points for Massive damage, it doesn't take long if you do that. Reward -> ------------------------ 4.12 - Nekomata's Ear - Museum Caretaker ------------------------ Level 4 dungeon time!you will need some fruit trees which will become available and also a few of the luxurious rooms will attract the Nekomatas which then will become cat-food in the face of your blade! Reward -> 3,000 gilberts ------------------------ 4.14 NEKOMATAS GLOVES - Museum Caretaker ------------------------ The museum caretaker wants to complete the set for his 'research' so he asks YOU! to find the gloves of the nekomata. Reward -> 3,000 gilberts From Robert -> level 7 works best, but unknown dungeon level 5 can also yield these high level nekomata (which drop gloves more than ears and feet) ------------------------ 4.13 - Nekomata's Feet - Museum Caretaker ----------------------- Same as their ears, now for some slicing and dicing of cat girls. Reward -> 3,000 gilberts ------------------------ 4.15 - Cursed Ring ------------------------ Not completed yet. Its a drop from a ghost. ------------------------ 4.17 - Mongrel Liver - Apothecary witch ----------------------- You don't need dirt floors but it will increase the % of the mongrels appearing so why not?just go get chop some dog-food up for the witch and you'll be done with this quest in no time Reward -> Rebirth Potion ------------------------ 4.18 - Cave Cat Liver - Apothecary witch ----------------------- On dungeon level 3,is where you will find these overgrown critters .Now its your turn to downsize them! Reward -> Rebirth Potion ----------------------- 4.19 - Snake Oil - Apothecary witch ----------------------- the healer wants snake oil for a potion! Kill quezecotyls (or however they are spelled) on marble tile somewhere on level 4. Snake Oil is the KEY ingredient to later recipes so keep going back for more REWARD: poison dagger (garbage) ----------------------- 4.20 Hell Essence - Apothecary witch ----------------------- OH MY GOD!!Healer wants to make another potion!!! Kill Hell Hounds on level 7 and 9 Reward: Fire Dagger ------------------------ 4.22 - Giant's Ring - Buyer ------------------------ Build a stone treasure room on level 2 and check it everyday and you'll get the ring sooner or later Reward ->1000 Gilberts ------------------------ 4.23 - Fire Cone - Buyer ----------------------- Random dungeon for this one!hope you've visited some of them already. Reward -> ------------------------ 4.24 - Straw Sandals - Buyer ----------------------- Random dungeon will work as well as iron treasure rooms in dungeon level4. Reward -> ----------------------- 4.25 Warrior Armor - Buyer ----------------------- You know the drill! Kill Corrupt Warriors on level 3-5 and unknown dungeon Reward -> ----------------------- 4.26 Silver Wolf Fur - Buyer ----------------------- He wants revenge for little red riding hood now?? Kill Silver Wolves on levels 7 and 8 and eventually it will drop REWARD: Stair Kit and Silver Treasure room, 1600 Gilberts ------------------------ 4.33 - Ruby Ring - Spell Twins ----------------------- Ruby ring from monster drops in level 3-4. just slaughter everything and paint your dungeon crimson red. Reward -> ------------------------ 4.34 - Sapphire Ring - Spell Twins ----------------------- Dungeon level 4 -> ice slimes. Need i say more? Reward -> ----------------------- 4.35 - Opal Ring - Spell Twins ----------------------- Finally they try to do something useful! Kill wisps or slimes to eventually pick one up (lvl 4 or unk dungeon) Reward: 1,000 gilberts, chance to buy ring which regens health ----------------------- 4.36 - Emerald Ring - Spell Twins ----------------------- Kill Apostate Priests on level 5, or Grass Slimes Reward: 1,000 gilberts and chance to buy ring which regens Mana ----------------------- 4.37 - Diamond Ring - Spell Twins ----------------------- ------------------------ 4.38 - Quilt Skirt - Armorer ----------------------- Random Dungeon is the only way. Go get back to random dungeons! Reward= 1000 Gilberts, Morningstar. ----------------------- 4.39 - Leather Halter - Armorer ----------------------- This guy is trying to do something sneaky! Kill Nekomatas on level 3 and 5, and check iron treasure chest daily for the leather halter REWARD: 3,000 gilberts and HOLY ROD ----------------------- 4.40 Leather Skirt - Armorer ----------------------- He finally shows his true colors and his inner desires! keep killin those nekomatas REWARD: Armorer makes joke that you cant equip it, then is shocked when he finds out you can, laughs and gives you a piece of armor (harbuek) which has one more AML then the warrior armer ------------------------ 4.47 - Silver Tiara - Girl ----------------------- Return to level 2 of your dungeon,and perform some 1-hit kills on the bandits there and return to the girl of your dreams with the Tiara as your wedding gift. Reward -> ----------------------- 4.48 - Corrupt Knight - Girl ----------------------- Level 4 dungeon will have loads of these. Mostly in Parlors and Guest rooms. Choose 1 and you'll find the Knight that you will Purify. Reward -> ----------------------- 4.7- Druid - BOSS ---------------------- "inflict divine punishment on a druid who feels evil deeds are fine if you confess!" build a chapel on the 4th and 5th floors (multiple if possible) and wait for the druid to come out. He will be surrounded by APOSTLE Priests, so stick and move until all are destroyed. Reward: White Wolf Root (high attack root) ------------------------ 5- Bosses ------------------------ Well,you will have to build a boss room to attract a boss monster to your dungeon,and he'll have another hp bar at the top of your screen. Bosses are generally tougher then most monsters,having more attacks,more hp and deals more damage. They are also usually resistant to many types of elements. ------------------------ Boss 1- Gryphon ------------------------ Welcome to your 1st boss fight! There are many ways to kill this boss easily and one of the most effective way to kill him is to buy a couple of MP potions and use the "ROCK" magic that you start with. Then run to him and cast it on him, the boss will die easily. Another way would be to learn salamander and the Gryphon will die in 2 casts ------------------------ Boss 2- False Knight ------------------------ Welcome to hell! err i mean your second boss fight. Comparing this boss to the Gryphon is like comparing heaven to hell and he's resistant to fire,so don't think about using salamander but however slyph is probably easily the easiest way to kill him, similar to Gryphon, he'll die in about 2-3 casts. Also when you see him charging his sword for his beam attack, stay clear of it as it deals near 160~ damage. ------------------------ Boss 3- Ninja ------------------------ Wow! These bosses just keep getting harder and harder eh? This ninja seems to be almost invulnerable to spells so there's really no point casting, instead buy a ton of HP potions. Spells like Shield,Magic barrier and Heal would also work well if you want to stay alive. Most people recommend using the spiked club or any blunt weapons you have as you get a higher % to stun the ninja. And if he starts spawning his baby ninjas,you can take care of them easily with the spell Laser and also note that his HP will be reduced by about 40-50% when he uses this!
