If you ask for permission I will allow you to. ========================= = 1.3 - The Game = ========================= Call of Duty: World at War is a first-person shooter video game developed by Treyarch and published by Activision for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360. It is the fifth installment in the Call of Duty series excluding expansion packs. The game's setting returns to World War II, after the previous title Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare's modern setting. It focuses on the Pacific Theater and Eastern Front of World War II in the Microsoft Windows, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 version. The title, game details and estimated release date were announced on June 23, 2008 and the game was released worldwide between November 11, 2008 and November 14, 2008. A Windows Mobile version was also made available by Glu Mobile and different storyline versions for the PS2 and Nintendo DS were made, but remain in the World War II setting. The game uses an enhanced version of Call of Duty 4's game engine with increased development in audio effects. War Hero - 40 points - Complete the game on any difficulty. - Solo only Hardened War Hero - 100 points - Complete the game on Hardened or Veteran difficulty. - Solo only Get Your Left Foot Wet - 30 points - Complete a match in Campaign Co-Op mode over Xbox LIVE. - Online co-op only Get Your Right Foot Wet - 30 points - Complete a match in Competitive Co-Op mode over Xbox LIVE. - Online co-op only Blue Ribbon - 25 points - Complete a 4-player Competitive Co-Op match in 1st place over Xbox LIVE. - Online co-op only It's All about Prestige - 0 points - You achieved the first level of Prestige. Only 9 more to go. Go Get Some Sun - 0 points - Achieve the highest level of prestige. ================================== = 3.2 - Getting the Achievements = ================================== For the 15 Mission achievements completed on Veteran difficulty, here are some tips for you so you don't spend more than an hour on one small part. 1. Use smoke grenades to advance areas with cover for protection. 2. Take your time. There's no time limit, you do not want to rush. You will get killed by doing so and it will make you even more stressed out. Let your lads take care of the enemies, they are more effective. 3. Each level has a different set of weapons that can work to your advantage. Some guns can be mounted in areas so you can take out enemies spots so you can progress. 4. If you are trying to beat a mission on veteran but it is not working out for you, then its fine. When that happens to me I just stop playing, then days later try it again. Games are meant for fun, not yelling at the TV. What did the TV ever do to you? Here are the achievements you will get for each mission on Veteran. Get Your Hands Dirty - 30G Bloody Peleliu - 30G The Sword is Broken - 30G Architect - 30G The Hammer Strikes - 30G Scorched Earth - 30G Fearless - 30G Hell on Wheels - 30G No Return - 30G When It Rains, It Pours - 30G One Bad Gato - 30G Blowtorch & Corkscrew - 30G Setting of the Sun - 30G For The Motherland - 30G Bearing The Burden - 30G Hardened War Hero - 100G Complete all missions on Veteran difficulty. Just follow the tips and you should be good. Carlson's Raiders - 10G Fairly simple, just complete Semper Fi on any difficulty. Saved Private Ryan - 10G At the beginning of Semper Fi you enter a wooden plank and as you move on, an american soldier will be grabbed by a japanese attacker. Kill the attacker before it kills Ryan. Weapon of Mass Destruction - 15G when you get the availability to radio a naval bombardment, just find a spot with 4 Japanese soldiers and blow em up. Snake in the Grass - 15G In "Hard Landing" find a spot in the grass where a Japanese attacker is and kill him before they get a chance to take you and your men out by surprise. So basically, you can let them kill you, then reload the checkpoint and shoot at that area where you got killed. No Safe Place - 15G When your in the Desert looking place, flame all trees in the area and you will eventually get the achievement. The Professional - 15G At the beginning of "Vendetta" you will need to take out Amsel's men without reloading. The two men on the left you can snipe one at a time, the two men on the stairs snipe with one bullet, then snipe the guard in the middle. When the guard and the dog come, snipe the guard then knife the dog. Gunslinger - 15G Before the end part, remember to grab a pistol so that you can give the achievement some tries. What you really want to do is aim for his head, but what is most likely easier is letting him get in his car and then shooting at him. It will be a more steadier shot and you can still try it again. Firestarter - 15G Easily completed on Burn em Out. Keep on burnin em! Iron Fist - 15G Destroy all Towers and Bunkers in "Blood and Iron" Not too hard at all. What you have to look for is Water towers(basically stand out in the mission) and bunkers(inside areas). Also, you will have to destroy the buildings too. So just to be sure, drive around in an area, destroy everything possible, and move on. When you are about to enter the area with the radio tower, in a foggy area(out of the map) you will be able to see a tower and if careful you can destroy it. Goodluck. Ruthless - 15G While your close to the end of "Ring of Steel" you'll see a tank. Get on the tank and you will be able to operate the tank's machine gun. Now's your chance to get some kills. When their all on the street piled up that is when you mow them all down. Shot in the Dark - 10G In "Eviction" while the lights turn out in the subway, find enemies and kill as many as possible. The German machine gun is most helpful. If you have trouble keep trying. You'll get it. The Sum of All Zeros - 15G In "Black Cats" take out 45 Japanese Zeroes. Put difficulty on Casual, and keep on firing. Ignore passengers and take out as many as you can. Reload and Repeat. Lights Out! - 10G In "Black Cats" there are 3 Japanese Cargo's with 2 spotlights on each. Take out each one and you will get the achievement. Should be complete through the first run through. Mortar-dom - 10G In "Breaking Point" at some point you will see little objects on boxes, walk up to them and press x(or whatever button it tell you) and throw them at Japanese soldiers. In no time you'll get the achievement. Guardian Angel - 10G At the ending point of "Breaking Point" there will be two soldiers surrendering, follow Roebuck and when the Japanese soldier lunges toward Roebuck, kill him fast. War Hero - 40G Complete the game on any difficulty. Kamikaze - 15G Complete any level while only using melee and grenades. Fairly simple if you do it on Semper Fi. Just stay in cover most of the time. Chuck grenades, then pickup grenades, and knife. Regular difficulty is recommended. Throw a Six and a Half - 15G Complete a level on Hardened or Veteran without dieing. Play "Black Cats" and keep on firing. It will be almost impossible to die, but it is possible... Stormed Peleliu - 15G Complete mission "Relentless" on any difficulty and you will unlock this achievement. The Last Stand - 20G Survive the final battle in "Breaking Point" and this achievement will unlock. Just use bombardments on certain spots and you will be covered. Stabbed in the Heart - 20G Complete the game and you will get this achievement. Purple Heart - 5G Remember when I said don't rush in? Nows your time to do so. On veteran just run up to anyone and get killed. When you get killed the tenth time the achievement will unlock. Rough Economy - 15G In "Vendetta" follow Reznov to behind that little recycling bin and wait for German soldiers to run by that corner. When you think you've got a good enough shot for 3 kills, then take it. You can always re-load the checkpoint and try again. Close Shave - 10G When a banzai attacker is about to kill you, click the right stick and you will stick your knife in his neck. Enough said. Grave Robber - 15G For each card I will tell you the mission and the location, plus the cheat. 1. Eight of Hearts - Semper Fi After the beginning of the the first cinimatic, to the right there will be a small shack. Inside, there will be a helmet on the floor. The cheat makes headshots cause enemies to explode. 2. Four of Clubs - Little Resistance At the end of the level, before you take out the bunker and end it, to the right in front of the bunker there will be bushes. Deathcard will be there. Cheat makes enemies take less damage. 3. King of Hearts - Hard Landing There is a big building that you'll eventually get to that is very similar to the big building found on the "Airfield" multiplayer map. On the lower level, you'll find a very dark room with a lantern barely lighting it. The card is right in front of it. Cheat gives you explosive pistol rounds when you are downed. 4. Five of Diamonds - Vendetta When Reznov opens access to the bar area in the beginning of the mission, go behind the bar, then at the other end you will find the death card. Cheat stops weapons from dropping, leaving not much ammo at all. 5. Joker - Their Land, Their Blood After the part when you have to blow up three tanks, move up to the barn. Destroy the tank moving out from it. Then inside there will be a dead cow with the death card in it. Cheat disallows weapon use other than melee. 6. Queen of Hearts - Burn 'Em Out After you clear out the first mortar pit, you'll continue on through the level until you get to a part where there are some crates and two explosive barrels. After those barrels are blown up, some enemies will run out of a darkened pathway to the left of those barrels. Kill both, run in, and the card is at the end of the dug-in trench. Cheat makes your health recharge only by killing enemies. 7. Nine of Diamonds - Relentless This is at the end of the mission, where you choose left path or right, when both connect you'll see the death card at the end of the path. Cheat makes enemies take less explosive damage. 8. Jack of Spades - Ring of Steel When you enter the asylum, go left, it will be in the far bottom left corner. Cheat makes enemies die by headshots only. 9. Ace of Spades - Eviction After the kitchen area, you find a room to your right that has a huge hole in it. Drop down and you'll find it. Cheat makes enemies come back to life with vengeance. 10. Ten of Clubs - Blowtorch & Corkscrew Left as you go toward the second bunker where you'll see an upside down Japanese soldier hanging from a tree. Cheat allows you to shoot downed Co-Op Teammates to revive them. 11. Three of Diamonds - Breaking Point After all four mortar pits are cleared, head to the shack south of there and it will be in there. Cheat allows you to recharge your health by kills only. 12. Six of Clubs - Heart of The Reich Across the street from the start of the mission with the closed-off subway entrance. Cheat makes blood splatters to paint. 13. Two of Spades - Downfall Before you get to the theatre, a couple of your friendlies break through a door to the right. It's in there. Cheat limits your HUD, turns on friendly fire, and makes you bleed out much faster than before. Blue Ribbon - 25G Easy achievement. Buddy up with friends over xbox live and either have them let you get 1st place or just get a lot of kills. Has to be those other 3 ONLY. Get Your Left Foot Wet - 30G Play campaign co-op, from start to finish over Xbox Live. Get Your Right Foot Wet - 30G Play competitive campaign co-op, from start to finish over Xbox Live. It's All About Prestige - 0G Level up to first prestige. Go Get Some Sun - 0G Level up to tenth prestige.
