This will be my third guide for the Banjo-Kazooie games (My others being a Mini-Game FAQ and a Jiggy FAQ) and I was bored enough to start on this one. So I would like to welcome you to my newest guide to date and I hope you enjoy this guide and this game as much I as did completing them. Banjo-Kazooie, a great game and a legend amongst the Nintendo 64 games. Rare, once again have shown how great they truly are by make an awesome game. A game involving the adventures of a bear and bird. Now who would have thought of that. Only Rare could think of such an original idea. Now that I have talked a little about the game, lets move on to the subject of this guide. The guide is setup pretty easy. Instead of a ?Walkthrough? as such, the items that you need to collect have been each given their own sections. So if you are missing some Jinjos or Jiggies, have a look in their section in the right world until you find what you are looking for. Pretty easy once you understand. Just have a little look t the Contents if you need to see a better idea on what I?m talking about. So with that out of the way, lets get on to the good (and interesting) stuff of the guide. Banjo ----- One of the main characters of the game. He is a honey bear who loves to relax and lounge around his blue house. (Parody alert: Bear in the Big Blue house) Banjo is best friends with Kazooie. Banjo also love honey and he wears yellow shorts. Kazooie ------- The red breegull bird who has moved into Banjo?s house. She is loud, rude and trouble seems to attract to her like a sumo to a twinkie. She lives in the backpack that Banjo wears and when she is needed, she can pop out and have a look around or stick her feet out the bottom of the bag. Tooty ----- This is Banjo?s cute younger sister. She is the outdoors types. She?s always trying to get Banjo of his bum and go outside and go n adventures with her. She has a new friend who she talks to outside the house when Banjo is asleep. (which is all day) Bottles ------- Tooty?s friend. He is a short-sighted mole who loves to dig around and play wth Tooty. Bottles will help Banjo throughout his adventure, yes, even wearing his checkered vest. Gruntilda --------- She is an evil witch who lives high in her lair at the top of Spiral Mountain. She loud and smelly and for some reason, she always speaks in rhymes. She is not very attractive either, so Gruntilda has come up with a plan to make herself beautiful, what could her plan be? Brentilda --------- This is Grunty?s sister. She is her complete opposite. She is kind, loving and a fairy godmother. She will be helping out in Banjo?s adventure, so make sure that you watch out her so she can give you her advice. Mumbo Jumbo ----------- Mumbo used to be the teacher of Grunty. Until one day she thought it would be funny to transform him into a creepy lookin? dude. He wears a mask and it cannot come off until Grunty is truly defeated. Mumbo is a shaman, or witchdoctor if you prefer. He will be helping Banjo in the gam by using he magic powers. But the help of Mumbo will come at a price. The Jinjos ---------- These cute little creatures are scattered throughout the world and there are 5 of them in each. Banjo will need to rescue them so they can help him later on. Klungo ------ He is the servant of Grunty and he will do whatever it takes to make her happy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _________________________________ / \ _____| 4. CONTROLS |_____ \ | _______________________________ | / \ |/ | | \| / / \ | | / \ /______/ \______\ Now for the next section of the guide. Here is where we look at the basic controls of the Banjo-Kazooie game. Knowing these basic moves will help out. Controls Stick -------------- This is how you move Banjo around. You can run, tip-toe and walk depending on how pressure you apply on to the stick. A Button -------- This makes banjo jump, the longer you hold A, the higher Banjo will jump. B Button -------- This is the basic attack button. Z Button -------- This will make Banjo crouch so you may be able to get out of the way of some attacks. Use h Controls Stick to move Banjo around while you are crouching. Start Button ------------ This brings up the pause menu. Here is where you can look at the details of the game and your current status on the stuff that you have collected so far. This is also where you can save you game and quit it. R Button -------- This will bring the camera around to go behind Banjo. If you hold down the R Button you can keep the camera behind Banjo until you let go. C Left and C Right ------------------ This rotates the camera left and right. C Up ---- Press this to look into Banjo?s eyes so you can have a better view of your surroundings. Use the Control Stick to move the eyes around so you can see a bit better again. To leave this mode, just press the C Up button again. C Down ------ This will move the camera up and down so you can get a wider view of what is around Banjo. L Button -------- Not used. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _________________________________ / \ _____| 5. ITEMS |_____ \ | _______________________________ | / \ |/ | | \| / / \ | | / \ /______/ \______\ To put a long story short: This game is a treasure hunt. You will be needed to collect many different types of items, which do different things. There are very important items, and then there are items, which aren?t as important, but can be handy if you collect them anyway. So read on for more information in this section so you know which item can do which function. Jigsaw Pieces ------------- These are the most important item of the game. These are more commonly known as Jiggies and they can be found all over the place. You may have to complete a puzzle or help out a character in the game. There are 100 Jiggies in the game each one as important as the other. So what do these Jiggies do you say? Well when you are playing the game you will need to open up a world before you can go into it. To open a world you will need to find a frame on the wall in Gruntilda?s Lair and fill up the missing spaces with Jiggies. Then when the picture is complete the world will open. Musical Notes ------------- the next item is also very important. There are 100 of these in each level. But you cannot keep these, when you collect all 100, die or leave the world, depending on how many notes you have is you high score for that level. So you could pick up 3 notes then die, so 3 note becomes your high score for that level. Without these you want be able to get to new areas of Gruntilda?s Lair. Why? Because Grunty has made magic doors throughout her lair which have a number on it. Now depending on how many notes you have may or may not be able to open the door. Here is an example. If the number on the door is 300, and the number of all your high scores is more than 300, you can pass the door. Jinjos ------ These are cute little creatures who are in all the worlds. There are 5 of them in each world and they are lost. So it?s up to Banjo to find them all and get your prize from them. Eggs ---- These are a weapon that Kazooie can use when she has learned the right move that allows her to use them. There are plenty of these around the place. You can carry up to 100 at a time, so don?t waste them. Red Feathers ------------ These are the mystic Red Feathers that Kazooie have been waiting to use. But you will need to learn how to fly before you can use them. When you learn how to fly go onto a Flight Pad and press the A Button. This will launch Kazooie so you can fly. Then every time you press A to flap higher, you will lose 1 Red Feather. Gold Feathers ------------- These are the super rare Gold Feathers that will allow Kazooie to be invulnerable. So that means that you cannot be hurt. But you can only hold up to 10 Gold Feathers at a time. But you cannot use these straight away. When you learn the correct ability to use the Gold Feathers, because these Gold Feathers are so helpful, when you use the ability you will slowly lose your Gold Feathers, so use the ability wisely. Mumbo Tokens ------------ These are sort of like ?money? that you can find around the place. You will need these tokens so Mumbo can transform you with his Shaman Magic. When you enter a Mumbo?s Skull (his hut) there will be a sign on his left. It will have a number on it, you must have that many tokens or more so you can be transformed. BUT once you given Mumbo the tokens, it will be free to be transformed in that Skull every time you go there. Extra Lives ------------ This looks like a gold trophy. Collect one of these so you will get an extra chace at the game if you are to die in the game. These are hard to find, so look carefully. Honeycomb Energy ---------------- This is the health of Banjo. You will have only a little bit of health at the start. If you are hurt be some form in the game, when you defeat and enemy they drop Honeycomb Energy. Pick it up to replenish your health by one comb. If you run out of Honeycomb Energy, you will lose a life. Extra Honeycomb Pieces ---------------------- At the beginning of the game you will only have a little bit of energy. So if you find these hollow Honeycombs they will be added to your collection. When you have a certain amount of Honeycombs and you fill up the slots that appear when you collect one, you will get 1 more Honeycomb of health so you last longer in the game. Wading Boots ------------ These are green boots that will help you throughout the game. Sometimes there are areas where there is sand that will hurt you or swamps that will hurt you. So put on some Wading Boots and walk over the dangerous area without getting hurt. But you will need to learn how to use them from Bottles first before you can use them. Also, you can?t have these on for too long otherwise the time will run out. Running Shoes ------------- These are sneakers that when you put them on, you can run really fast. So when you learn the ability from Bottles to be able to use them, you will be running around as much as you want. And just like the Wading Boots, you only have some time before the time for these will run out and you cannot use them until you pick them up again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _________________________________ / \ _____| 6. STORY |_____ \ | _______________________________ | / \ |/ | | \| / / \ | | / \ /______/ \______\ (From the instruction manual) At last, the dirty green and blue smog was beginning to clear. Gruntilda stood at the topmost window of her Lair, grinning wickedly down on her latest word. ?Tiny creatures far below,? She cackled, ?which of you?ll be first to go?? The witch rubbed her hands in glee at the prospect of putting her favorite invention to good use. It was her pride and joy: a machine that could suck the physical beauty from its victims for Gruntilda to absorb like a sponge! And it would certainly teach her cutesy sister Brentilda a lesson. How dare that interfering do-gooder inherit the family good looks and leave Gruntilda, well... slightly disadvantaged in that department? Hah! Not any more, gloated the witch, picking her nose smugly. Not any more. Turning back the bubbling cauldron, Gruntilda began to cast the spell which would reassure her that she was, of course, the most wonderfully attractive creature in this bright new world... Meanwhile, Tooty was skipping home through the sunny green fields of Spiral Mountain. As she reached the garden gate, a pair of blurry eyes that could only belong to her good friend Bottles popped up from a nearby molehill. ?Morning, Tooty,? he blinked, uncorking himself from the hole. ?And what are your plans for this fine day?? Tooty jumped up and down excitedly, remembering Banjo?s promise. ?Oh!? she squealed. ?When my lazy bother gets out of bed, we?re on an adventure!? ?That?s nice.? Bottles squinted up into the sky. ?Hang on, isn?t that your brother up there?? Tooty turned, and saw an odd shape swoop down towards them at high speed. ?No, that can?t be Banjo,? She said, frowning ?I wonder who it is...? ?Sweeter than me? Prettier than me? Impossible!? Gruntilda was so furious at the cauldron words that she could barely control her broomstick, screeching with anger every time her boots clipped the treetops. ?As cute as me, you stupid pot? For he own sake, I hope she?s not!? The witch sped recklessly on until her target finally came into view: staring up at her from a field far below was the innocent young Honey Bear she?d seen in the depths of that treacherous cauldron. Gruntilda cackles. ?I need those looks far more than she, and finally perfect I shall be!? she cried, and sent the broomstick into a steep dive. Kazooie popped out of the backpack as erupted just outside the window. ?Banjo!? she squawked in alarm. ?Banjo, wake up!? The Honey Bear groaned and pulled a pillow over his head. ?Aww, Kazooie, it?s too early,? came his muffled voice. ?This is no time be lazy, farface!? trilled the Breegull, swinging anxiously to and fro. ?We?ve got trouble!? Banjo yawned, rolled over?and fell out of bed in surprise of Kazooie?s struggles suddenly toppled both the backpack and its stand onto the floor with a crash. At the same time a sudden gust of wind blew open the curtains, and beneath the peals of manic laughter fading into the distance, Banjo heard the helpless cries of a voice he recongnised... Tooty! The bear gulped, realising that this is going to be one of those days. ?Uh, Kazooie, what are you doing down there? He said in confusion, grabbing the backpack as he bolted for the door. ?This is no time to be lazy?we?ve got trouble!? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _________________________________ / \ _____| 7. WORLD DESCRIPTIONS |_____ \ | _______________________________ | / \ |/ | | \| / / \ | | / \ /______/ \______\ This is the section on a detailed description on all of the worlds in banjo- Kazooie. This is because the guide I set out the guide so the sections are for the items. Instead of the traditional walkthrough that has the items all in 1 section, which would be too hard to read. So in this section we will go over on the little and big details of the worlds within banjo-Kazooie. This will help out a bit on the location of the items that you are missing or that you need to get. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ SPIRAL MOUNTAIN ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is the world that Banjo lives in. Banjo lives in a blue house on the far end of this world. There are vegetable fields that are on the plateau near the house. There is also a waterfall on the other side of the valley. In the middle of the area is an island that has the Spiral Mountain on it, climb up the mountain and you will be able to get into Gruntilda?s Lair by crossing the bridge. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ GRUNTILDA?S LAIR ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The lair on which Tooty has been taken to. So when Banjo enters the dark Lair you will really know that it owned by a witch. There are traps, cauldrons, enemies and pictures of Grunty all over the place. This world is the main area. This is the world that will take you from one to another. This is where you will find all of the doors to the worlds. I like to think of it as it runs through the other worlds and that?s how you get to them. Have a look at the diagram below so you know what I mean. Main Worlds | | | | | ---------|--|--|--|--|-------- <--Gruntilda?s Lair | | | | | The horizontal live represents Gruntilda?s Lair, see how it goes through the other words of the game. That shows that you must be in Gruntilda?s lair to get to them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ MUMBO?S MOUNTAIN ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The first ?real? world where you can start your collection of the Jiggies and Notes and other things. This is where you can learn some basic abilities from Bottles. There are 2 levels in this world. The lower level has a crazed gorilla named Conga and a raging bull that want be taken down. On the higher level there are ancient ruins, a village and a termite mountain. So this level shouldn?t be too hard should it? Well, what else. The Jinjos aren?t too hard to find in this world and you might get them pretty quickly. Well this is only the first world after all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ TREASURE TROVE COVE ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The next level is the set of a beach island, how cool. In the middle of the island is a huge mountain where a lighthouse sits. There are crabs and oysters which will try to stop you from collecting the items this world has. This world?s items seem more hidden and you will need to conquer a few puzzles before you able to get them. The level is filled with treasure, so look in the chomping treasure chests because you are going to find some really good stuff in those. Also in this world is a sad captain who has landed his ship and lost his gold in the process. Will Banjo be able to find the god for him? Treasure Trove Cove is filled with hidden items and secrets. Make sure that you explore as much of it as you can find so you can go through to the next world with a little ease. You may even miss something that is ?right under you? at the start. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ CLANKER?S CAVERN ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the start this world just looks like a couple of pipes and drains. But as you go under the water you will see how big this world really is. When you do meet up with Clanker, you better help him out. He is a giant garbage disposer, which Grunty has been working too hard. So Banjo will need to help him out so you can get those rewards. The problem in this world is that there is so much water to swim in. So you should do your best in trying not to drown in this world. That?s your main concern. There are pipe in the bottom of the cavern which are filled with many good items that are worth swimming down for, so make sure you get those. In this world you can actual get inside of Clanker through his gills, mouth and blowhole and there is a lot of good stuff in there that is worth getting. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ BUBBLEGLOOP SWAMP ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The next level is a smelly and dirty swamp. Doesn?t sound very inviting does it? Well in this world there are many different areas that you can go for some more treasure hunting. How this world is set up is pretty easy. There is sort of a centre area where you can get to the many areas from here. There are 4 main areas in Bubblegloop Swamp, let?s go over them. The giant croc area that doesn?t really need explaining, you will know what this area looks like. In this area has he Mumbo?s Skull where you can be transformed into a croc. While you are transformed you can go into the giant croc through the nostrils. The next area is the giant turtle area. The giant turtle needs your help, so if you listen to what he says you will know what to do and he will literally cough up your prize. Then while his mouth is open you can go inside and go to as a new area. The third area is the village. The village huts are on tall trees and you will need to go up them to get to more treasure at the top. The fourth and final area is the upper level. At the start of the level there is a ramp that goes up and there are a lot of notes and other interesting things up here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ FREEZEEZY PEAK ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a Christmas theme level that is one of my personal favorites. This level has many different things that are cool. From a HUGE Christmas tree to an even bigger snowman. There are so many little areas in this world that it would take too long to tell you all of them. So I?m only going to go over the basic ones only. The giant snowman in the middle of the world has a tonne of treasure on him. If you need a lot of Notes and Red Feathers quickly, this is the place to go, by going up his long scarf. He village area also has a few good things to get, including a new Mumbo Skull to make you transform you info a walrus. So coming here will be a good idea. The only real point of the walrus is so you can get all the stuff in the icy cold water and to get into Wozza?s Cave. The Christmas tree is hollow, so if you jump into the bucket it?s sitting in, you can climb the trunk where inside you can get some good items including Eggs, Red Feathers and Notes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ GOBI?S VALLEY ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The desert theme level may warm you up from your trip to the icy cold snow of Freezeezy Peak. It?s not really a desert theme, but more of an Egyptian theme. There are pyramids and temples too. You can get into them; the only way though is to figure out how. There are switches all over the place than can do different things like opening pyramids and temples. And because we all know about how secretive the ancient Egyptians were, so a lot of things are filled with traps or are timed and if you don?t make it to safety before the time runs out, yes that?s right, you die. So try as best as you can to stay alive in this world. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ MAD MONSTER MANSION ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is the creepy level. Filled with skeletons, ghosts and other monsters. The mansion has some good stuff in it that you can take so to get inside you will need to break some of the glowing windows so you can go into different rooms of the house. There is also a haunted shack outside the mansion with bright glowing lights on the outside of it, if you can get inside, there is someone who wants your help. There is also a church that still has ghosts inside of it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ RUSTY BUCKET BAY ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Rusty Bucket is a huge oil tanker that is the most disgusting thing you could think off. The oil is thick in the water, which puts Banjo at a disadvantage. This is because when you are in the water your air will be drained twice as fast. This even happens when you are just swimming on the surface of the water, so you will need to be quick if you are going to survive in the murky waters of the bay. The Rusty Bucket has a lot to do on it. There are 2 cranes on the ship?s right side and you can lower and rise the cargo that they are holding which will get you to different places. You may notice a little hole in the wall (not on the ship) and it will say ?TOLL? then a number. What this means is that you have to fire in the amount of eggs into the hole in the wall, this will bring out a little bridge that you can cross so you can get to other parts of the level on the outside of the ship. If you are to find the Toll which has the number 2 on it, fire in 4 eggs so you can some new items and get away from the pipe creature. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ CLICK CLOCK WOOD ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The final level in which you will need to be ready for everything. At the start you will be in a room with for doors. You will only be able to go into 1 door at first. Each door represents a season (summer, spring, winter and autumn). So go into the first season which you can enter and then you must find the switch in that season to open the next door in the starting room. When you enter a season room you will notice a huge tree and as you climb this tree there is plenty of different things that you can do and see. When you enter a different season it will be the same tree and things only they will have changed due to the season. For example there is snow in winter and there are leaves everywhere in autumn. This is a huge game boards, but the rules are a little bit strange. What are the Controls? ---------------------- Control Stick ? Move on the board A Button ? Play on the square you are standing on B Button ? Skip square you are standing on (Joker Card required) How is it Played? ----------------- This is kinda like any basic board game. What you have to do is make your way to the other side of the boar without getting killed. Seems easy. Well, not really. When you start you will stand on the first square, press A on it to be asked a question. Read the question carefully and answer it from the 3 possible answers displayed on the screen. You will have to remember al the knowledge you gained when you played the game to be able to answer the question. But you don?t have to answer a question on all of the squares. Continue to read on for the explanation of all the types of squares on the board. Banjo-Kazooie Square - You will have to answer a general knowledge question about the game. These aren?t all that hard. Grunty Square ? If you listen to all the things Brentilda had to say in the game. You will have to remember them as best as you can because you will be asked a question about Gruntilda. Visual Squares ? These have a picture of an eye on them. You will be shown a picture from the game and you will be asked where this is from. Music Squares ? You will get to listen to some music from the game and you will have to answer on where or when you heard that piece of music. Challenge Squares ? You will have to complete a timed challenge in the game that you have done. But there is a difference about them. Death Squares ? A square with a skull on it. You will have to do the challenge correct because if you get it wrong, you will get sent to your fiery doom. Joker Squares ? Answer the question correctly to receive 2 Joker Cards. Use these by pressing B on a square and you will be aloud to skip it. Because there are so many different things to go in this game you will have to remember all the little things that you picked up as you were playing through. When it comes to the visual tiles, you will have to look t all of the different things in the picture and try to recognise them with a world you have been to. The way I do it is by the colours of things. If everything is a dull yellow, it could be Clanker?s Cavern. Then if you were to see something white, it could be Freezy Peak, just try your best into remembering. Some of these are quiet easy to figure out anyway. When it comes to the music tiles you have to remember that music well. If you had the sound on during the game, these questions will be pretty easy. When it comes to the voices of characters, try your best into remembering who they are. The challenge tiles are quite fun. You must have to complete a harder version of a puzzle you completed in the game before hand. Then there are the Gruntilda Squares. If you found all of the locations of Brentilda throughout Gruntilda?s Lair and you listen to all the 3 things she had to tell you, these shouldn?t be that hard. I can?t give you the answers to these because the answers change from game to game. Then there are the Joker Squares. Get the question right and you get 2 Joker Cards, use these to get past the squares you don?t want to do. Stand on the buttons on the ground and move away when Conga throws an orange at you so it hits the button, make him hit all 3 buttons to get the first Jiggy. Jiggy #2 -------- Climb up the orange tree that Conga is standing on and steal and orange. Then take it over to the little monkey on the tree stump in this area and give it to him. Jiggy #3 -------- After getting Jiggy #2 climb up the tree stump where the monkey was standing on and learn how to use Eggs from Bottles up here. Then stand on the platform facing Conga. Then shoot eggs at him and dodge the oranges he throws at you and then he will give you another Jiggy. Jiggy #4 -------- Jump into the left eye of Mumbo?s Skull to get this Jiggy. Jiggy #5 -------- Destroy all of the huts near Mumbo?s Skull by using the Beak Buster. Jiggy #6 -------- Climb the mountain near Conga to find the Jiggy near the middle of the ruins. Jiggy #7 -------- Fire eggs into the mouth of the spinning totem pole until they all disappear. Jiggy #8 -------- On the slope going down the mountain from Mumbo?s Skull. Jiggy #9 -------- Get Mumbo to transform you into a termite and then enter the termite hill. Make your way to the very top and outside the mountain so you can find the next Jiggy. Jiggy #10 --------- Find all 5 Jinjos. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ TREASURE TROVE COVE ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jiggy #1 -------- Talk to Capt. Blubber on the ship and then use the Beak Buster on the lower piece of deck to get inside the ship. Then swim down and pick up the piece of gold. Then go to the outside of the ship and into the water next to it and go into the hole in the side to go into the next room where you will find the next piece of treasure. Then give hem to Capt. Blubber to be rewarded with your next Jiggy. Jiggy #2 -------- Attack Clipper the giant hermit crab 3 times and then go inside his shell to find the Jiggy. Jiggy #3 -------- Fly all the way to the top of the level where you find a lighthouse. On the top of it is a Jiggy. Jiggy #4 -------- Near Capt. Blubber?s ship there are crates that are up against the wall. Climb up them and jump down to the platform, where there is a bucket who is leaky. Fart some eggs into him and he will lower the water. So jump down and go into the sand castle. Now spell out BANJOKAZOOIE using the Beak Buster then defeat the black crab to win your prize. Jiggy #5 -------- Find a giant red ?X? on the green area of the level where there are many pools and use the Beak Buster on it to make it disappear. Then find the next one by going in the direction of anti-clockwise around the island until you make an ?X? into a ??? then jump down the ground and on the island behind the ??? to find the last ?X? then destroy the chest to get your Jiggy. Jiggy #6 -------- Climb up the mast of Capt. Blubber?s Ship by going up the ropes and find the Flight Pad. Then fly into the giant opening of the mountain in the direction of the pad. Then stay on the left side to find a chomping treasure chest. Inside is the next Jiggy. Jiggy #7 -------- Climb up the crates near Capt. Blubber?s ship and then use the Shock Spring Pads and jump over to the mountain area where there are platforms and find the next Jiggy in a little cove. Jiggy #8 -------- At the top of the green area where there are the many little pools behind them are ladders that lead up to it. Go down these until you find a little pathway on the right that is hard to notice. Go to it and jump over the crates and into the little cove to find the next Jiggy. Jiggy #9 -------- At the top of the green area where there are the many little pools. Go to the very top and dive to the bottom of the pool to find the next Jiggy. Jiggy #10 --------- Find all 5 Jinjos. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ CLANKER?S CAVERN ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jiggy #1 -------- Swim into the main cavern where Clanker rests and swim to the right and go into the first tunnel where you can find the Jiggy. Jiggy #2 -------- Swim all the way down to the bottom of the cavern by following the chain under Clanker. Then swim through the key 3 times and this will rise Clanker. Now go on his back to get the Jiggy. Jiggy #3 -------- Behind Clanker there is a green pipe that takes you to a room filled with crabs. Kill them all to get the Jiggy. Jiggy #4 -------- Swim onto the platform that is floating on Clanker?s right side and shoot the gold tooth with some eggs, them swim through the hole and get the Jiggy. Jiggy #5 -------- Inside Clanker fly into the room in his belly to come to room filled with spinning blades. This is where you learn Wonderwing. User Wonderwing to run past the spinning blades and get your next Jiggy. Swim through the green ones before the time runs out to get the Jiggy. Jiggy #8 -------- While the bolt is in Clanker?s blowhole, stand on it and when you are shot up land on the platform and get the Jiggy up here. Jiggy #9 -------- Climb up Clanker?s tail and line up with the cage and shoot eggs at it for it to open. Then jump in and get the Jiggy. Jiggy #10 --------- Collect the Jinjos. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ BUBBLEGLOOP SWAMP ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jiggy #1 -------- Find the giant pink egg and smash it by hitting all the crosses on it to get the Jiggy. Jiggy #2 -------- There is an island where there are gold flibbits. Destroy them all to get the next Jiggy. Jiggy #3 -------- There is a giant turtle around here. If you use the Beak Buster on all of his feet he will cough you up a Jiggy. Jiggy #4 -------- Go inside the giant turtle and follow the 3 music lessons that the teacher shows you for the next Jiggy. Jiggy #5 -------- At the start of the level when you go over the little bridge there is a switch with a Jiggy on it. Press it and go up the path and reach the end before the time runs out. Jiggy #6 -------- At the start of the level there is a golden croc that is chomping away. Shoot and egg in his mouth and then another croc will appear somewhere else. Feed all the crocs and you will get a Jiggy for your trouble. Jiggy #7 -------- Go through the maze that?s next to the giant croc to find a ledge where there is another Jiggy Switch. Hit it and get to the Jiggy in time. Jiggy #8 -------- Use the Shock Spring Pads and make your way up the platforms and destroy the huts as you go along. When you hit the last one you get your Jiggy. Jiggy #9 -------- Get Mumbo to transform you into a croc and enter the nose of the giant croc near the hut. Then play Mr. Vile?s games to win your Jiggy. Jiggy #10 --------- Get the Jinjos. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ FREEZEEZY PEAK ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jiggy #1 -------- Climb up the scarf of the giant snowman and stand on the sled to get the first Jiggy from Boggy. Jiggy #2 -------- Collect the 3 presents from all over the level and give them to Boggy?s kids in the igloo at the start of the level. Jiggy #3 -------- Climb up the scarf of the giant snowman and jump into his pipe. Jiggy #4 -------- Learn the Bomb Attack from Bottles and press all the buttons on the giant snowman. Jiggy #5 -------- Go to the area where the Christmas tree is and Beak Bust the present here. Now do as the Twinkles say and get them into the tree. Then light up the tree by hitting the switch behind it. Then fly through the star on the top 3 times. Jiggy #6 -------- Visit Mumbo and make him turn you into a walrus. Then challenge Boggy for a race on his sled. (After getting Jiggy #1) Jiggy #7 -------- Go back to see Boggy and race him again as Banjo and Kazooie this time and win for the next Jiggy. (After getting Jiggy #6) Jiggy #8 -------- Become the walrus and go visit Wozza (The lady walrus) at her cave and she will give you the Jiggy. Jiggy #9 -------- Kill off all the snowmen using the Bomb attack by hitting them in the hat and get the next Jiggy. Jiggy #10 --------- Find all the Jinjos again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ GOBI?S VALLEY ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jiggy #1 -------- Shoot eggs into the nose of the sphinx and go inside him. Then feed the little sphinxes and jump across the magic carpets to get the Jiggy. Jiggy #2 -------- Fly through all the rings in the level on the golden sphinxes to get the next Jiggy. Jiggy #3 -------- Learn how to use the Turbo Trainers and find the little island behind the pyramid and get the Jiggy from Grabba. Jiggy #4 -------- Use the Bomb Attack on the giant Kazooie target and go into the pyramid that opens. Then fart eggs into the basket that is spinning around and when the snake comes out climb up him to get the next Jiggy. Jiggy #5 -------- There?s a pyramid with a switch on the top. Hit it and then go into the pyramid. Then play the matching game to get the next Jiggy. It really helps to kill the mummy off with Wonderwing. Jiggy #6 -------- Use either the Turbo Trainers or the Flight Pads down low in the centre of the level. Pick one of these. If you use the Trainers, get them first and stand on the switch at the start of the temple and the op will open up. Now run inside as fast as you can. If you are to use the Flight Pads, just hit the switch then run down the pit in the middle of the level and fly into the hole. When you are inside the temple, collect the Jiggy and the water will drain out. Jiggy #7 -------- Once you have done Jiggy #6, go to the newly filled moat and stand on the platforms and shoot eggs into the mouths of the mini-sphinxes and go into the pyramid that rose. Now runs as fast as you can through the maze and get the Jiggy from the Pharaoh?s Tomb. Jiggy #8 -------- Find the lonely camel who is tied down and use the Beak Buster on the stump which he is tied to. Jiggy #9 -------- Now at the start of the level (after doing Jiggy #9) the camel is resting in front of the thirsty tree. Use the Beak Buster on him to give the tree a drink and get your next Jiggy. (You will have to fly to get it) Jiggy #10 --------- Get those Jinjos once again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ MAD MONSTER MANSION ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jiggy #1 -------- On the right of the mansion is a slime pool. Go past the gate on the left to come to a new area. Go into the well here and get the Jiggy. Jiggy #2 -------- Bust the gate that leads to the church. Now go back to the slime pool area and hit the switch on the right and run as fast as you can and go into the church. Then jump onto the Piano and copy the music that is played for you. Jiggy #3 -------- There is a little hut with light coming out of it. Smash through the door and solve the puzzle (BANJOKAZOOIE) while on top of the glass. Jiggy #4 -------- In the Church courtyard, fart eggs into all the yellow pots with eyes for a Jiggy. Jiggy #5 -------- Use the gravestone next to the entrance of the church and climb onto the roof. Then climb the church tower and find a Jiggy. Jiggy #6 -------- Climb the mansion and reach the roof and jump into the chimney. Then Jump onto th chairs and onto the tables and grab the Jiggy from the green ghost. Jiggy #7 -------- Outside the mansion there is a trapdoor that you can smash that takes you into the wine cellar. There is a Jiggy in one of the barrels. Jiggy #8 -------- Climb up the house one smash all the glowing windows and jump inside until you find one with a toilet. Then get Mumbo to turn you into a pumpkin and take the ramp near the church to the second floor of the mansion and come back to this room. Then jump into the toilet and get the Jiggy. Jiggy #9 -------- Go back onto the second floor of the mansion as a pumpkin again and stand on the pipe that is in the rain gutter. Go down the pipe and get your Jiggy. Jiggy #10 --------- Aw, not Jinjos again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ RUSTY BUCKET BAY ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jiggy #1 -------- Climb up the stack on the front of the ship to get this Jiggy. Jiggy #2 -------- Climb up the rope of the crane on the back of the ship and lower it to blow open a new area. Then jump inside and destroy the boxes in a battle (Battle is really easy if you have about 8 gold Feathers) Jiggy #3 -------- At the front of the ship there are 3 horns marked ?1, 2 and 3?. Blow them in this order ?312111? to get a Jiggy. Jiggy #4 -------- At the front of the ship there is a Jiggy in a cage. Climb up the rope and rise the crane and get to the Jiggy before the time runs out. Jiggy #5 -------- Underwater at the front of the ship there is a trapped dolphin. Follow the chain into the ship and hit the switch in here to free him and get the Jiggy. Jiggy #6 -------- Go to the back of the ship and jump into he pipe. Then hit the switch and come back out. Then go to the stake in the middle of the ship and bust open the door on it to get to the engine room and find the Jiggy. Jiggy #7 -------- At the start of the level there is a Toll to the left on the wall. Shoot 2 eggs into it then another 2 to get to the next area. On the shed there is a window that isn?t glowing. Smash it to go through and get the Jiggy in here. Jiggy #8 -------- Go inside the big stack on the ship and there are 2 switches you need to hit and these will stop the running motors on the back of the ship. Then run back out and get them as fast as you can. Jiggy #9 -------- There are a lot of portholes that you can smash on the ship. There is one that will open the captain?s cabin. Smash open the cabinet to get the Jiggy. Jiggy #10 --------- Jinjos anyone? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ CLICK CLOCK WOOD ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jiggy #1 -------- (Spring) Climb to the top of the tree and into a room filled with tentacles. Jiggy #2 -------- (Summer) On the starting side of the tree there are leaves sticking out that you can climb to get a Jiggy. Jiggy #3 -------- (Summer) As you climb the tree you will find a beehive. Go inside the hive and defeat all of the bees inside to get the Jiggy. (Easy to get if you use Wonderwing) Jiggy #4 -------- (Summer) Smash the boulder that is blocking the way of the beavers house with is in the dried up river. Now come back in Autumn/Fall and go into his house to get the Jiggy. Jiggy #5 -------- (Autumn/Fall) Near the top of the tree there is a squirrel that needs some acorns before the winter chill sets in. So collect them from around this area (6 in all) and give them to him for a Jiggy. Jiggy #6 -------- (Spring) Break open the egg in the nest. (Summer) Feed the eagle 5 worms. (Autmn/Fall) Feed him 10 worms. (Winter) Visit him again for the Jiggy. Jiggy #7 -------- (Summer) While you are climbing up the tree you may notice a tree-house. Inside it is a Jiggy glistening in the sun. Jiggy #8 -------- (Spring) Fart some eggs into the hole in the fenced off area past the river. (Summer) Use the Beak Buster on the camel to water the plant. (Autumn/Fall) Stomp on the camel again to get the Jiggy. Jiggy #9 -------- (Winter) Those chomping plants are dead. So use a flying pad to fly all the way to the top and get the Jiggy that is still in the mouth of the plant. Jiggy #10 --------- The last lot of Jinjos. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ GRUNTILDA?S LAIR ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jiggy #1 -------- On the left as you enter the lair. Jiggy #2 -------- Grunty Switch: (Mumbo?s Moutain) ? On the platforms where you learned to use eggs where Conga is. When the switch has been hit, leave Mumbo?s Mountain as a termite and climb the mountain above the entrance to the level. Jiggy #3 -------- Grunty Switch: (Treasure Trove Cove) ? Behind the lighthouse. When you leave Treasure Trove Cove jump onto the cannon that is sticking out of the wall and then onto the platform above you to get the Jiggy. Jiggy #4 -------- Grunty Switch: (Clanker?s Cavern) ? Go into Clanker?s blowhole. Stomp down the eyes of the Grunty face in the room before the waterfall where you can get to Treasure Trove Cove and Clanker?s Cavern. Jiggy #5 -------- Grunty Switch: (Bubblegloop Swamp) ? In one of the huts you bust open. In the room where there is a coffin and a vase in the centre of the room there are walls that are gold which you can break down. Inside one is a green switch that will get you a Shock Spring Pad. Launch yourself into the vase and get you Jiggy. Jiggy #6 -------- Grunty Switch: (Freezeey Peak) ? After you destroy one of the snowmen. You will need the Turbo Trainers for this. Go to Freezeezy Peak area and go into those little rooms above the entrance until you come across a switch and Turbo Trainers. Hit the switch and put on the shoes and run into the spider web room and get onto the Flight Pad before it disappears. Then fly back into the Freezeey Peak area and fly up to the top where your Jiggy awaits. If you don?t know how to get rid of the spider webs, just farts a few eggs on them and they go away. Jiggy #7 -------- Grunty Switch: (Gobi?s Valley) ? In the maze of he rosin pyramid. Use the Shock Spring pad in the room with the vase and coffin to be able to reach the Jiggy. Jiggy #8 -------- Grunty Switch: (Mad Monster Mansion) ? Fly to the rafters of the church. Do as you did with Jiggy #6 to get the Flight Pad then stay in the spider web room. Fly to the Grunty head and use the Bomb Attack to break the eye with the Jiggy then you can get it. Jiggy #9 -------- Grunty Switch: (Rusty Bucket Bay) ? Climb the rope of the crane at the back of the ship and jump to the grey platform where the switch is. In the alcoves of the icy looking room. Jiggy #10 --------- Grunty Switch: (Click Clock Wood) ? Destroy one of the snowmen in winter. There is a Shock Spring pad on Clanker?s left on a platform. Use it and jump to the pipe on the left then onto the ledge where there is a grill. You will need to go up to the termite mountain and jump down the slope and see if you land in it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ TREASURE TROVE COVE ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Out in the ocean on a box. - Behind a pillar in the water where there is a giant shellfish (Nipper). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ CLANKER?S CAVERN ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - On the left of Clanker there is a Shock Spring Pad. Use it to jump to the pipe on the left and jump to the grill. Then make you way down this using the Talon Trot and jump to the second grill. Now use the Beak Buster on the grill to get the honeycomb. - Swim into the water and then go to the left side of Clanker where the Shock Spring Pad is. Then you will see a pipe going into the water, swim into the bottom of the pipe to find this honeycomb. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ BUBBLEGLOOP SWAMP ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Go into the giant turtle and then go to the conductor (Tip-Tup) and jump onto his platform. Then jump up to the honeycomb above him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ FREEZEEZY PEAK ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Destroy the snowman in the middle of the village with the bomb attack and pick the honeycomb from where he used to stand. - When Wozza lets you into her cave go into the water here and go through the tunnel to get to the honeycomb on a platform. You will need to be the walrus to be able to reach it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ GOBI?S VALLEY ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - When you have collected Jiggy number 8 and 9 in Gobi?s Valley take the magic carpet near the sphinx and it will take you up to a door where the camel is resting. Use the Beak Buster on him to get the honeycomb. - There is a switch behind a pyramid that will make the honeycomb appear in the middle of a cactus. Get onto a Flight Pad and go get it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ MAD MONSTER MANSION ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Go into the church and make you way to the top of the organ. Then climb up the organ pipes to reach the Flight Pad. Use it to get to the rafters of the church and carefully get the honeycomb. - On the second floor of the mansion there is a glowing window, which you can smash. Go inside and if the floor is filled with holes. Then leave and go visit Mumbo so he can transform you into a pumpkin. Then go to the hedge wall near the church where there is a hole that you can go through then a ramp that takes you to the second floor of the mansion. Then go back into the hole-filled room and get the honeycomb. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ RUSTY BUCKET BAY ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - In one of the corners of the bay there is a caged area. There is a hole in the wall of a shed, when you know where it is, jump into the water and swim as fast as you can into the hole before the shark gets you. Then when you are in the shed go onto the Flight Pad and fly to your prize in the sky. - Smash the door on one of the stacks on the ship and you will have to jump down to the far depths of the ship. Then jump into the passage that is above the entrance to the engine room. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ CLICK CLOCK WOOD ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - In winter there is a hole in the lake. Dive in and swim into the beaver?s house to get the honeycomb. - There is a window above Nubnut?s house that you can smash with the Bomb Attack. So go through it to get the honeycomb. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _________________________________ / \ _____| 13. BOTTLE?S MOLEHILLS |_____ \ | _______________________________ | / \ |/ | | \| / / \ | | / \ /______/ \______\ Bottles is the mole in the game, his job is to teach you lots of different abilities so that you can continue in your quest. Different moves require you to get to new places and collect new items, so make sure you get all of the abilities so you can continue your quest a lot easier. When you see a little mound of dirt go and stand on it and press the B Button, this will make Bottles come out and teach you the move. If you are low on health, he will heal you up. Also when you have already learned a move you can go back to that same molehill and press the B Button so Bottles will tell you how to use the move again if you have already forgotten. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ SPIRAL MOUNTAIN ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Scratch ------- (Press B) A very weak attack that shouldn?t be used. Feathery Flap ------------- (Press A then press and Hold A again) This move is used so that you can go over the many gaps that a normal jump couldn?t reach. So use this often in the game. Forward Roll ------------ (Press B while running) Use this as an attack to knock out your enemies in front of you. Rat-a-tap Rap ------------- (Press A then B) This will make Banjo jump up and Kazooie strike at the opponent in front of you. This is good for the enemies that can fly up and get away. Flap Flip --------- (Hold Z then press A) This will make Banjo jump up and Kazooie use her wings to push you up higher. This is used to you can get to those high places. Beak Barge ---------- (Hold Z and press B) This will make Banjo charge forward and Kazooie will be used like a lance. You can kill a lot of enemies with this move and it is very good to use to break things. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ MUMBO?S MOUNTAIN ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Talon Trot ---------- (Hold Z and press C Left) To find Bottles you need to make your way to the ruins where you can learn this move. The move will make your characters run faster and be able to grip to slippery surfaces. Egg Firing ---------- (Hold Z and press C Up or C Down) Bottles is ready to teach you this move when you give the monkey the orange from Conga?s tree. He will raise the platform he is standing on so you can get to the platform higher up and get the move. When you press the C Up button you will shoot the egg out of Kazooie?s mouth, if you press the C Down Button, you will fart out the egg from Kazooie?s backside. Beak Buster ----------- (Press A then Z) To find this move you will need to go to the village. This move will make Banjo and Kazooie slam into the ground below them. This is used so you break things, as an attack and so you can activate switches. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ TREASURE TROVE COVE ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Flying ------ (Press A while on a Flight Pad) This is the move you have been waiting for. Go onto Capt. Blubber?s ship and climb up the ropes to reach the crow?s nest. Here is Bottles. Now you can fly around, but you will need Red Feathers first. Shock Spring Jump ----------------- (Press A while on a Shock Spring Pad) To find Bottles for this move you will need to climb the boxes near Capt. Blubber?s ship and find Bottles up here. This move will make you jump twice. The first jump will be a little one while the second will shoot you into the sky. You will need to know that you don?t need to be on the pad while you perform this move. You can hold the control stick in a direction while doing this move and get to jump still. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ CLANKER?S CAVERN ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wonderwing ---------- (Hold Z and press C Right) Bottles is in the room inside Clanker where there are heaps of fast moving spin blades. To get there you will need to get Jiggy 7 so the water raises. Then fly into the room on the opposite side and get to blade room. The molehill os hard to see in here and you may have been in here before and missed it. You will need Gold Feathers so you can do this move. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ BUBBLEGLOOP SWAMP ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wading Boots ------------ (Touch the green Wading Boots throughout the game to use them) At the start of the level go to the right and you will find Bottles amongst some Eggs. The Wading Boots allow you to go through the murky piranha-infested waters of Bubblegloop Swamp. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ FREEZEEZY PEAK ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beak Bomb --------- (Press B while flying) Go over the Christmas tree and beyond that is a pile of presents. Around here is Bottle who will teach you this move. While you are flying press B to shoot yourself forward like a missile. This can be used as an attack and break things. But you must be careful while you are using this attack because you may hurt yourself if you run into the floor. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ GOBI?S VALLEY ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Turbo Trainers -------------- (Touch the white Turbo Trainers throughout the game to use them) Go to the Sphinx?s left side and on top of a sand dune where Bottles is/ Pick up some Turbo Trainers and start to run around at a tremendous speed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _________________________________ / \ _____| 14. MUMBO?S TOKENS |_____ \ | _______________________________ | / \ |/ | | \| / / \ | | / \ /______/ \______\ Mumbo is a Shaman who can use his magic to transform banjo and Kazooie into a strange animal or object. While you are playing the game you will have to collect Mumbo Tokens, these are like the money that you will have to give to Mumbo so that you can be transformed, so here are the locations of all of Mumbo?s Tokens. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ MUMBO?S MOUNTAIN ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - In the termite mountain. - Behind the stone ruins. - When you give the orange to the monkey you can get this token on the platforms above. - Under the ramp in front of Mumbo?s Skull. - At the start of the level it?s behind the platforms on the left. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ TREASURE TROVE COVE ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Smash the panel on Capt. Blubber?s ship to get to the inside to get the token. - Climb the mast of Capt. Blubber?s ship. - Behind Nipper the giant shellfish. - Jump straight up on the Shock Spring Pad next to the molehill that teaches you how to use them. - In a chest next to the ladders behind the pools. There are 2 in here. - Inside the lighthouse. - In the water in the area of all the Shock Spring Pads. - In one of the pools. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ CLANKER?S CAVERN ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - At the start climb up the ladder on the right and get the token on the pipes. - Shoot the left gold tooth on Clanker and go inside. - Use Clanker?s right fin to jump to the platform with the Shock Spring Pad. Then jump to the right and grab onto the pole and then get the token. - Climb up Clanker?s tail and jump onto the pipe behind him, beware the creature in the wall. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ BUBBLEGLOOP SWAMP ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Climb up the reed next to the giant pink egg. - Use the Wading Boots to get the token behind the first platform where the bridge is. - Behind Tip-Tup in the giant turtle. - Above the last few huts in the village. - Inside the giant crocodile. - Run up the ramp behind the first Jiggy switch up to the higher platforms to find the token. - Behind Mumbo?s Skull. - Get Mumbo to turn you into a crocodile and go to the bottom of the trees in the village to find 2 tokens. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ FREEZEEZY PEAK ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Next to the pile of giant presents. - Next to one of the giant snowman?s feet. - Next to the other foot of the giant snowman. - Use the Bomb attack on the snowman next to the pile of presents. - Climb up the giant snowman?s scarf and jump onto the sled. - Use the Bomb attack on the snowman in the middle of the water. - At the base of the Christmas Tree. - This is fly high above the village, you will have to fly to it. - Above one of the huts on the far side of the village. - Get Mumbo to turn you into a walrus and get this token which is in the water near the giant snowman. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ GOBI?S VALLEY ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Behind the Sphinx. - Inside the Sphinx. - In the pyramid with the snake charmer is another token. The pyramid with the bird statue above it. - Next to the Sphinx?s head. - In the pyramid with the matching puzzle in it. - At the door of the pyramid with a star on the door is the next token. - On top of the Pharaoh?s Tomb. - In the moat of the Pharaoh?s Tomb. (Easy to get with you fill it with water. - In the temple filled with water. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ MAD MONSTER MANSION ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - In the maze. - In the corner next to the glowing shed. - When you find the green fountain you can find the token here. - Behind one of the gravestones in the church courtyard. - On the roof of the glowing shed. - On the second floor of the mansion, break the glowing window that takes you to the bathroom to find a token in the sink. - In the clock tower of the church. - In the bottom of the well. - On a pew in the church. - In the rafters of the church. - In the wine cellar the token is in one of the barrel. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ RUSTY BUCKET BAY ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Jump into one of the pipes in the middle of the ship and get the token in this room. - In the lifeboat on the ship?s right side. - Climb up the ladder on the backside of the ship to reach this token. - On top of one of the ships stacks. - Go into the stack with the door a its base and go into the engine room. Then get this on the first sinning platform. - Inside the engine room. When you pass the cogs and get to the centre platform on each side of it is a spinning pipe where there is a token at each end. That?s 2 tokens here. - In the corner of the bay filled with toxic waste. - In a big blue container on the ship?s right side. - In the ship?s kitchen. To get here you need to jump into the pipe at the front of the ship. - Right at the front of the ship. - In the air on the left of the start. Pay the Toll 4 eggs (Even though it says 2) and then you can reach it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ CLICK CLOCK WOOD ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - (Spring) On the bee hive. - (Spring) In the flytrap at the bottom of the tree. - (Spring) Near the eagle nest. - (Spring) On top of the tree house. - (Spring) In the top branches of the tree. - (Spring) In Nabnut?s house. - (Summer) About half way up the tree on a branch. - (Summer) On the first level of the tree inside a flytrap. - (Summer) Smash the boulder at the bottom of the tree. - (Summer) On the branch at the top of the tree. - (Summer) Jump along the leaves on the closet side of the tree. - (Autumn) On a leaf near the tree house. - (Autumn) On the leaves on the front of the tree. - (Autumn) In the flytrap at the top of the tree. - (Autumn) In the flytrap at the start of the level. - (Autumn) On the branch that is about half way up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _________________________________ / \ _____| 15. TRANSFORMATIONS |_____ \ | _______________________________ | / \ |/ | | \| / / \ | | / \ /______/ \______\ When you give mumbo the right amount of Mumbo Tokens he will gladly gave your form so you can become something greater or stranger. This section will give you a little look at the different transformations that Mumbo can change you into. The Termite ----------- You can trade in some Tokens at Mumbo in Mumbo?s Mountain to become a termite. Now that you are termite you can grip to slippery surfaces with ease and you can make your way up the termite mountain. You can also get one of the honeycombs with ease now that you can grip to the walls. You can?t drown as the termite as well. The Crocodile ------------- The second transformation can be obtained in Bubblegloop Swamp. The crocodile can walk through the piranha-infested waters of the swamp. So you can collect a lot of items which are in the waters that you had the risk of getting hurt when you were a bear and bird. You can also get inside the giant crocodile head that has a mini- game inside for you to play. Also now that you are the crocodile you can press the B Button to use a chomp attack to defeat enemies. The Walrus ---------- This cute little critter is obtainable in Freezeey Peak. Because walrus? have a lot of body fat and think skin you can go through the icy cold water of Freezeey Peak without getting hurt. Also if you find where Wozza lives (A female walrus) she will gladly allow to visit because she doesn?t want that smelly bird and bear in her cave. You can never drown as the walrus too. The Pumpkin ----------- Happy Halloween for Banjo when you get turned into a pumpkin when you take a trip to Mad Monster Mansion. As the pumpkin you can fit into smaller spaces that Banjo couldn?t usually get into. The pumpkin isn?t as exciting as the other transformations and it also can never drown. The Bee ------- The final transformation is in Click Clock Wood. As you know, bees can fly so that?s what you are able to do as the bee. Fly around freely throughout the level with ease. By pressing A and then A again you can fly into the sky. Keep pressing the A Button to keep flying higher and if you hold down the B Button to fly faster. As the bee you cannot go into the water. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _________________________________ / \ _____| 16. MINI-GAMES |_____ \ | _______________________________ | / \ |/ | | \| / / \ | | / \ /______/ \______\ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ MR. VILE?S EATING CHALLENGE ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Where is the Game? ------------------ To find this game you will need to be up to Bubblegloop Swamp. There you must find Mumbo?s Skull by going to the area with the large crocodile head. Go through the maze to reach the skull and turn into a crocodile. Then go back to the giant crocodile head and enter it through one of the nostrils where you will find the game room. What are the Controls? ---------------------- Control Stick - Move A Button - Jump B Button - Eat How is it Played? ----------------- Round 1: This sounds simple, but it can be quite changeling. When the game starts you have to run around the room where there are holes in the ground. Every so often, a Yumbly will pop out a hole. Run over to it and eat it. You have to win by eating the most Yumblies. Then it?s time for the second round. Round 2: In round 2 you have to play by the same rules but this time there are Yellow Yumblies. These Yumblies are stale, so don?t eat them. When you win, it?s time for the final round. Round 3: In this game you will see a picture at the top of the screen. It will show either a picture of a Red Yumbly, or a Yellow Yumbly. When it shows a Red Yumbly, eat ONLY Red Yumblies. When it shows a Yellow Yumbly, eat ONLY Yellow Yumblies. Tips and Strategies ------------------- As you play Round 1 and 2 you will have to be on your toes all the time. You have to get those Yumblies as fast as you can, so try and go for the Yumblies that pop- up close to each other so you can grab them quicker. You can also go for the Yumblies that Mr. Vile is going for, but this isn?t recommended. When you have to play Round 3, there is a little trick that I use to win this easier. When you see the picture at the top of the screen you will notice that the picture spins around. Now watch the picture, as it begins to spin slower and hp around it will change. So when the spinning slows down, get ready to go for the next type of Yumbly. Another great tip to help you win this game is to learn the Turbo Trainers skill from Bottles. There are a pair of Turbo Trainers in the room, pick these up to run a lot faster. Other Information ----------------- If you lose a round, Mr. Vile will chase you around the room. Run out the nostril as fast as you can because if he catches you he will bite you and you will loose honeycombs of health. And don?t jump up onto the higher ground to get away from him. It doesn?t work. Don?t worry, I?m guilty of trying that. When you complete all three round for the first time you will get a Jiggy. Then Mr. Vile asks you if you would like to play the rounds again, if you win this time, you win 3 lives. But if you lose a game, he will take one life away. If you have a high number of notes for Bubblegloop Swamp, go ahead and take up the challenge if you wish. I don?t recommend this otherwise. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ TWINKLIES TO THE TREE ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Where is the Game? ------------------ You need to be able to get to Freezezy Peak. Then go into the level and look around for a huge Christmas Tree. Go over to it and you will see a wood path leading to the tree. At the start of the path is a box that?s moving. Use the Beak Buster on it to open it and the game will begin. What are the Controls? ---------------------- The controls are the same as always when you play the game. How is it Played? ----------------- On the path leading to the Christmas Tree are 3 holes. Inside each hole is a goblin-looking thing that eats Twinklies. When the game starts the Twinklies will jump out the box 1 by 1 and head for the tree. It?s up to you to stop the Twinkly Eaters by giving them a good smack. You have to get 20 Twinklies to the tree. Sounds easy? Yeah, right. Tips and Strategies ------------------- This can be a little difficult but the way I do this is to do it in a rhythm. I think this is the only way we can do this. So wait next to the box as the game starts and wait for the closest Twinkly Eater to pop up. Then use Rat-ta-tap Rap on it. Then do this to the second and third quickly. By the time you smack the third and get to the first again he will pop up, so hit them in the order again. It may take a few tries but it will work out in the end. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ BOGGY?S SLED RACE ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Where is the Game? ------------------ This game is also in Freezezy Peak, you will have to help Boggy out first, he ate a Jiggy. So climb up the scarf of the HUGE snowman and ride the sled to land on him and get the Jiggy. Now find Mumbo?s Skull and transform into the seal and find him at the starting line of the race. What are the Controls? ---------------------- Control Stick - Move A Button - Jump How is it Played? ----------------- Round 1: When the race starts hold forward on the Control Stack and go! The aim of the race is to go through the blue flag posts in the correct order. When you see a red set of posts, this mean these are the ones you have completed and the green means that these are the next ones to go through. You will have to use all your skill to win the race. Especially when it comes to the area with the houses, this bit is the hardest in my opinion. When you win, you get a Jiggy, and a chance for Round 2. Round 2: You will need to be normal banjo and Kazooie for this race, so get Mumbo to change you back. Then meet him up on the starting ramp again. Then it?s the same rules as before, only this time he is harder to beat. Tips and Strategies ------------------- When it comes to having to race him as the bear and bird, you cannot win without the Turbo Trainers. So you should learn them before you take up this race. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ BOTTLE?S PUZZLES ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Where is the Game? ------------------ If you go all the way back to Spiral Mountain and go into Banjo?s house, you can play a fun mini-game tat can drastically change the way you play. Wanna know how? Well, go into Banjo?s house and stand on the edge of the rug and face the fireplace. Then press C-Up and look at the picture above the fireplace. Now you get to play the puzzle game. What are the Controls? ---------------------- Control Stick ? Move Banjo?s hand A Button ? Pick up/put down puzzle piece B Button ? Send back puzzle piece to edge C-Left/Right ? Rotate puzzle piece left of right 1 space How is it played? ----------------- The people, who have played Banjo-Tooie, will know what to do when it comes to this game. For those who haven?t played it: You have 100 seconds to complete a jigsaw puzzle. All the pieces are on the outside of the board, you have to pick up the pieces and put them on the correct place on the board. The picture is moving so you have to be quick and pay as much attention as possible to the background as possible. What is it for? --------------- Every time you complete a puzzle you get a cheat. Then you go down to the sandcastle of Treasure Trove Cove and you type it in. Then you can activate the cheat. The cheat give you things like: Big head banjo, big hands and feet, big everything ect. If you complete all of the puzzles, you get to turn into a washing machine. Yes you read correctly, a washing machine.
