Contact Info ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I. Overview/General Information ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The purpose of this guide is to list and describe each individual aircraft found in the American version of Airforce Delta Storm. I do not own, nor have I ever owned, the Japanese version of this game. So, I do not feel responsible for listing the planes that appear exlusively in that game. Here is some general information: _____________________________________________________________________ | | | | Platforms | Xbox | |___________________________________|_________________________________| | | | | Genre | Flight Sim | |___________________________________|_________________________________| | | | | Developer | Konami | |___________________________________|_________________________________| | | | | Publisher | Konami | |___________________________________|_________________________________| | | | | Players | One (1) | |___________________________________|_________________________________| | | | | ESRB Rating | Everyone {Violence} | |___________________________________|_________________________________| | | | | Price | $49.99 (U.S.) | |___________________________________|_________________________________| ----------------------------------------------------------------------- II. Recent Updates ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Tue, Oct. 08: I have completed the main layout for this document, and I'm hoping to send it in sometime soon. I will be sure to add plenty more to this as time progresses. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- III. Quick Code ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I made this section to explain the feature that allows for easier access on this page. I found this while browsing online and I think it is a great way to find certain things much more easily. The process is simple. I coded each and every plane on this guide, and all you have to do is find the two-letter code in the index, press Ctrl + F, and input the code in the box, along with the # sign. The Find feature will locate the code that you typed in, and bring you to the desired section. Since many of the codes are the first two letters of the plane's name, you may be able to find it without looking in the Table of Contents. But, more times than not, you will probably need to use it. Here is the code for the Table of Contents if you want to try it out: TA Hopefully, you understand how this works. Please e-mail me and tell me if any of the codes aren't working, or they bring you to a different part of the document. I haven’t been able to test each and every one yet, so don’t be completely shocked if you find that a few don’t work. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- III. Aircraft Guide ----------------------------------------------------------------------- For each airplane, I will first give a description of it, and then show it's stats in the game. Since some of the planes are exclusive to this game, I will use the "Basic Info" section to describe what the plane looks like. I have taken some of the descriptions from the instruction manual (for conveniency), and I made ASCII charts to show the stats of each plane as closely as possible to the game. Since each statistic is based on a 4-point scale, there are 16 possibilites for them (1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 7/4, 8/4, 9/4, 10/4, 11/4, 12/4, 13/4, 14/4, 15/4, 16,4). So basically, there are 16 points on which a statistic meter could fall on, and I tried to match them with each individual meter in the game. As you can see, this wasn't something I did in five minutes; this took quite a while to record each and every one. Remember, I plan on constantly updating this document, so don't be shocked if you see something that isn't filled in; I'll get to it eventually. I finally replaced my Xbox after having it broken for about a month, so I'll try to complete this as soon as possible. It is hard to use all of the planes as often as others because of the large amount in the game (73 total). So, I haven't yet included information for all of them. But overall, I hope that this helps you, and that you find what you are looking for. I have collected a great deal of information while playing this game, and I'll try my best to put it into words. Now let's get started, shall we? CO# =================================== 1. Eurofighter 2000 =================================== Basic Info: After many years of hard work, joint European developers finally succeeded in combining their technologies to give birth to this air superiority fighter. Although small, it is extremely maneuverable and boasts combat capabilities superior to even the F-15. __________________________ |_______ Attack |_______| |__________ Defense |__________| |___________ Speed |___________| |___________ Power |___________| |__________ Mobility |__________| _________|________________ | | | | Missiles: 60 Ability: no MI# =================================== 54. Mirage F1 =================================== Basic Info: Battle tested, the Mirage F1 has been a bastion of France's air defence capability for many years. Equally successful as a ground-attack and reconnaissance airplane, it is respected by its allies and feared by its enemies. __________________________ |___ Attack |___| |__________ Defense |__________| |____________ Speed |____________| |_______ Power |_______| |_______ Mobility |_______| _________|________________ | | | | Missiles: 39 Ability:no ME# =================================== 55. Mirage 2000 =================================== Basic Info: Now standard equipment in the French fighter arm, the Mirage 2000 has a large wing with "relaxed stability" and automatic flight control system, making this warplane extremely aglie and giving better handling than traditional deltas. Lacking a horizontal tail, the Mirage 2000 uses elevons at the trailing edge ot its wing. The result is one of the world's most successful delta-winged fighters. __________________________ |_____ Attack |_____| |_________ Defense |_________| |____________ Speed |____________| |_______ Power |_______| |_______ Mobility |_______| _________|________________ | | | | Missiles: 52 Ability: no RB# =================================== 56. Rafale B =================================== Basic Info: The Dassault Rafale is the air fighter of tomorrow, created by today's top scientists. Very soon, one- and two-seat Rafales will rise to take command of the sky, as France's navy and air force press these knife-shaped jets into action from carrier decks and airfields. Thanks to its advanced propulsion and flight controls, the Rafale can change altitude abruptly in midair. Another maneuverability plus is the fact the pilot can steer in one direction and point his nose to shoot in another. This makes it look as if the Rafale is flying sideways. Or it can snap into a 180* turn in less space then any other fighter. With this super agility, the Rafale pilot can rapidly get the jump on his opponent. He can then launch several missiles or move in close in for the kill with a rapid-fire 30-mm cannon. The duel is likely to be over in secounds- most often with the Rafale as the easy victor. __________________________ |_______ Attack |_______| |__________ Defense |__________| |___________ Speed |___________| |__________ Power |__________| |_________ Mobility |_________| _________|________________ | | | | Missiles: 65 Ability: no RC# =================================== 57. Rafale C =================================== Basic Info: Practically the same as the Rafale B, both planes share many of the same traits...except that this one is slightly weaker with less missiles. __________________________ |_____ Attack |_____| |_________ Defense |_________| |___________ Speed |___________| |__________ Power |__________| |_________ Mobility |_________| _________|________________ | | | | Missiles: 50 Ability: no SR# =================================== 58. Kfir C7 =================================== Basic Info: The Kfir (Hebrew word for lion cub) is an Israeli-made derivative of the French Mirage III/Mirage V fighter/attack aircraft. The Kfir was developed in part to overcome a French embargo of Mirage aircraft and in part to improve the basic performance of the design. __________________________ |___ Attack |___| |____ Defense |____| |____________ Speed |____________| |_______ Power |_______| |_______ Mobility |_______| _________|________________ | | | | Missiles: 47 Ability: no LA# =================================== 60. Lavi =================================== Basic Info: The Lavi program began in the late 1970s when IAI agreed to develop a new multi-role fighter to replace Israel's aging A-4 Skyhawk and Kfir combat aircraft. Seeing a need for some 300 aircraft, including 60 two-seat combat-capable trainers, the Lavi was envisioned primarily as a close air support and tactical attack platform with a secondary air superiority capability. __________________________ |______ Attack |______| |___________ Defense |___________| |__________ Speed |__________| |________ Power |________| |__________ Mobility |__________| _________|________________ | | | | Missiles: 58 Ability: no T4# =================================== 61. T-4 =================================== Basic Info: The T-4 supersonic reconnaissance and attack weapons system was intended to search for and destroy large surface targets such as aircraft carriers and missile carrying ships as well as for reconnaissance. This concept arose in the early sixties. Primary design emphasis was on the development of an airframe capable of long range flight at three times the speed of sound. In addition to its main mission, the preliminary design described the T-4 as: - a reconnaissance aircraft; - a long-range interceptor weapons system; - a supersonic passenger aircraft. __________________________ |__ Attack |__| |______ Defense |______| |_____ Speed |_____| |____ Power |____| |______ Mobility |______| _________|________________ | | | | Missiles: 32 Ability: no F2# =================================== 62. F-2 =================================== Basic Info: The F-2 is planned as the replacement for Japan's aging, domestically developed F-1 fighter. The cooperatively developed and produced Japanese F-2 single-engine fighter (FS-X) has performance capabilities roughly comparable to those of the U.S. F-16. __________________________ |_______ Attack |_______| |_____________ Defense |_____________| |____________ Speed |____________| |_________ Power |_________| |___________ Mobility |___________| _________|________________ | | | | Missiles: 65 Ability: no FX# =================================== 63. FC-1 Fighter China =================================== Basic Info: The FC-1 project started when the US stopped the delivery of F-16 and F-20 fighters to this country. This small machine is one of the more manoeuvrable fighters and could turn and burn most of the elderly aircraft that are still in production in the communist China. __________________________ |____ Attack |____| |______ Defense |______| |_________ Speed |_________| |_______ Power |_______| |________ Mobility |________| _________|________________ | | | | Missiles: 42 Ability: no #7# =================================== 65. ##7# =================================== Basic Info: **Exclusive to game** __________________________ |__ Attack |__| |___ Defense |___| |___________ Speed |___________| |______ Power |______| |________ Mobility |________| _________|________________ | | | | Missiles: 37 Ability: no 10# =================================== 66. ##10# =================================== Basic Info: This aircraft gained attention as one fully developed by China. This tailless canard delta fighter possesses a large wing surface and an air intake on the bottom of the fuselage. Small and light, its silhouette is reminiscent of that of the phantom Lavi. __________________________ |__ Attack |__| |_________ Defense |_________| |__________ Speed |__________| |_______ Power |_______| |________ Mobility |________| _________|________________ | | | | Missiles: 38 Ability: no ID# =================================== 67. IDF## =================================== Basic Info: The twin-engine IDF is similar to the F-16 except that it is slightly smaller and has a slightly shorter range. The IDF is a hybrid as far as its external appearance is concerned. The nose of the fighter jet is a replica of the F-20A Tigershark, while ts body, wings, and vertical tail surface are apparently lifted from the F-16, and the shape of its cockpit hood and vertical tail wing and its girth near the engine inlets have a notable French flavor. __________________________ |____ Attack |____| |_______ Defense |_______| |_________ Speed |_________| |_______ Power |_______| |_________ Mobility |_________| _________|________________ | | | | Missiles: 48 Ability: no ME# =================================== 68. XA/B-25F Calyx =================================== Basic Info: **Exclusive to game** This wing-shaped aircraft somewhat resembles the B-2 Stealth Bomber, yet it has a lot more curved structures. The guns are placed on each side, so it is a little harder to hit your target with bullets because of the dead zone in between. __________________________ |___________ Attack |___________| |_______________ Defense |_______________| |_____ Speed |_____| |______________ Power |______________| |____ Mobility |____| _________|________________ | | | | Missiles: 85 Ability: stealth BF# =================================== 73. XQ/U-2Bee Fatty =================================== Basic Info: **Exclusive to game** Taken from an old Konami game, this bizarre looking aircraft is actually a pretty good plane to use. Aside from the fact that it is not very fast, it has very good stats. I think it's funny how the missiles are actually the "gloves" of the plane, and make that weird sound when they launch. Also, it has its own music to accompany it during your flight. __________________________ |_______________ Attack |_______________| |_________ Defense |_________| |___________ Speed |___________| |_______________ Power |_______________| |_______________ Mobility |_______________| _________|________________ | | | | Missiles: 999 Ability: no ----------------------------------------------------------------------- IV. Credits ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I want to thank Konami for making a really good game. The amount of planes in this game is amazing...which is what made me want to make a guide for them in the first place. I also want to thank myself...for not giving up hope while making this FAQ. Hopefully, once I start getting feedback, I'll have more people to thank. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- V.
