Revenge was released for the XBOX and PS2 in 2005. One spectacular year later, the game was released on the Xbox 360 with a graphics overhaul and a handful of new features sprinkled in. Anyone familiar with the Burnout series knows that Burnout games are based around high speed races and high octane crashes, and Revenge delivers. The game boasts a staggering amount of single player events which make up the World Tour (169 total) and has an impressive list of vehicles as well (79 total). Fan favorite crash events are back, and are showcased in their proper HD glory, alongside the multiple other race-type events. Are you ready to climb the Ranks of Revenge and claim the title of Dominator? Or are you just a Harmless Sunday afternoon driver? You'll find out soon enough, and the whole world is here to watch... This FAQ is fairly simple to read/follow, just be sure to use the find feature (ctrl+F) and type the code or name of the section you wish to jump to. Or, you can read the entire thing front to back, referencing certain sections or tough events. The guide is based off of my play time with Burnout Revenge over the past 2 years and any outside sources or information have been omitted entirely. If you find a problem with the guide, have a better strategy for an event, or have something that you think should be added, do not hesitate to contact me by email: jwkwitkowski@gmail.com Credit will be given for any additions or comments by you if they are integrated into the guide in any way, shape, or form. Any extreme problems with the guide (in regards to strategies and the like) will be addressed immediately upon notification. Layout suggestions and such will always be considered, but beneficial game information is more important! Be aware that this guide was written by me for the Xbox 360 version of Burnout Revenge. Select portions of the guide or it as a whole may or may not apply to the XBOX and PS2 versions. =============== [BR2] Controls =============== RT - Accelerate/Forward LT - Brake/Reverse RB - Next Music Track Y - Change View X - Rear View A - Boost/Impact Time (after crashing) B - Crashbreaker (after crashing) LS - Steer/Aftertouch (after crashing) RS - Rotate Camera =========================== [BR3] The art of Takedowns =========================== A takedown is quite simply the act of crashing another racer, granting you a massive boost gain and an obvious lead as the vehicle(s) recover. Some forms of takedowns are as simple as slamming a vehicle into a guardrail, though the more intense takedowns require some skill, and creativity. Listed are some of the most common forms of takedowns, and a few special ones. Once you master the basic concept of takedowns, they will become a natural, fun, and crucial part of your Burnout experience. Traffic: Traffic takedowns are achieved by causing another racer to crash into a non racing vehicle. Experiment with using traffic against other racers, as most events have traffic throughout. - Shunt a vehicle from behind, causing it to rear end a racer. - Shunt or slam a racer, causing it to rear end or slam head on into traffic. - Shunt traffic into semis or tankers, causing them to jackknife or roll, and in turn spill their load and other debris all over a racer. Psyche Out: With a opponent right on you, drive straight toward an obstacle or oncoming traffic, swerving to safety at the last possible second, leaving the other racer no time to react and be forced to crash into it! - Box an aggressive opponent in on the outside of a curve leading right into oncoming traffic, and cut out right at the last possible second! - Lead racers to dead ends or cliffs, trading paint until right before the cut off, then leave them to the wall/free fall! Vertical: Vertical takedowns are just as they sound; from a jump or ramp, land right on top of other racers to take them out. Death from above! - Unmarked ramps are scattered throughout the locations. Keep an eye out for sheet metal, drain pipes, construction (dirt, gravel) piles, loading docks, stairs, and the like. Get some air and aim for the opposition! - Small bumps and hills in the road can be used to gain air time by boosting as you hit them, surprise vertical takedowns. They never saw it coming! Slam: Slamming a opponent is basically driving alongside them and quickly driving into the side of their vehicle, causing the driver to lose temporary control and veer off into the direction in which you slammed them. Slamming is useful for when two racers are neck and neck, and you need the lead. Learn how to slam effectively early on, as it is an easy way to score takedowns in any event. - Slam racers into oncoming traffic, off of cliffs, into pillars and walls, and pretty much any other solid object you come across. - While taking curves, racers often drift on the outside of curves (near the <<<< curve wall). Drift out from the inside of the curve and slam them into the curve wall! - Boost while slamming a racer to gain some ground and then cut them off near a wall or building! They almost always crash into the wall or building. - Continuously slam against a racer, forcing them to grind along a wall or other barrier. After a short time, the grinding takes it's toll on the car and totals it. - Slam into the rear half of a racer to cause them to fishtail, or sometimes to spin out wildly into traffic or obstacles! Signature: The most impressive takedowns, and the hardest to pull off. These takedowns are specific to a location and usually require you to pull off some crazy stunts such as smacking a racer into a crane on the freeway! There are three signature takedowns for each location and you can find descriptions of how to obtain them in-game in the event selection screen. Crashbreaker: If you wreck in a crashbreaker type event or in crash event, you can self destruct your ride in an attempt to take out racers behind you. In crash events they allow you to destroy traffic and relocate your ride, making blocking multiple lanes a cinch. After executing a crashbreaker, you can apply aftertouch (Left control stick) to attempt to wreck other racers if the explosion didn’t catch anyone. - Use the camera controls to see if the opposition is close first! - Take out racer(s) with a crashbreaker to fill your boost bar, but lose all of your boost if you fail to score a takedown with it. - If you have a lead and are taken out or just crash on your own, this is the best time to use a crashbreaker. The other racers were likely right on your tail and will drive right into your crashbreaker! - Execute a crashbreaker the moment a racer takes you out for instant revenge! - Leading multiple racers around a sharp turn and crashing purposely, and then crashbreaking is an easy way to build boost and get challenges. You are rewarded higher event ratings for driving aggressively, don't be afraid to take it to the extreme! ====================== [BR4] Ratings & Ranks ====================== Event Ratings: Your style is rated in each event as either good, great, or awesome. Build your rating during an event by driving aggressively, checking traffic, boosting, scoring takedowns, and the like. You must also meet event requirements for medals (bronze, silver, or gold). The medal earned and the rating earned for each event together form the total rating for that event in stars. If you scored an awesome rating but only earned the bronze for the event type, your score would lower by one star, a silver medal does not change the rank, and a gold medal will raise your rank by 1. For the maximum rating of 5 stars, a gold medal and an awesome rating is needed for each event! World Tour Rank: Each rank in the World Tour holds it's own events and higher ranks are locked until a minimum amount of stars (from events) o---------o are reached. Once you unlock a new rank, a new star is filled | * | in on the rank diamond to reflect your level of dominance. The | * * | first rank, Harmless, is open from the start of the World Tour. | * * * | -x- | * * | Each rank has a variety of events spread out among different | * | locations, and completing events opens up more to choose from. o---------o Once you have a few events unlocked through playing, start earning higher event ranks to open up new World Tour ranks and in turn, more events. Higher World Tour ranks have tougher events, and the level of progression is well done. Harmless events are pretty easy, and Insane events can be frustrating. Just be aware that the higher the rank and more obscure the name, the tougher the events may be. ================== [BR5] Event Types ================== Traffic Attack: Timed events in which your goal is to cause as much mayhem and destruction as possible. Traffic attack events are set in heavy traffic and you have to ram, bash, sideswipe, or otherwise cause vehicles to crash. Each time you hit a vehicle it will fly out like a pinball from a side bumper! You can earn bonuses and chain combos by launching smaller vehicles into larger ones, launching one vehicle into multiple other ones, and flipping large trucks and semis. Be careful that you stay with the flow of traffic though as hitting a vehicle head on will end in your vehicle crashing, you have to hit vehicles from the rear or side to avoid crashing yourself. Stringing up a nice combo of crashes will net you more time, even if you are down to the last seconds, so make use of your boost to plow through the throngs of vehicles until you reach the requirements for gold! Burning Lap: Timed trial events with predetermined vehicles consisting of a single lap. You have to build your boost and use it constantly and make use of shortcuts to earn the gold. Driving on the wrong side of the road will build your boost pretty quick so make use of it when possible. If you have trouble with the times on these trials, at least pass with silver or bronze first to learn the track and shortcuts. Race: Straightforward race events in which you need to come in first place, ahead of the other racers. Regular Burnout options still apply here and you can check traffic and use the same tactics (and others) to crash opponents in the race. Some races require shortcuts but they are usually optional, though the other racers will use them often. Other racers will also attempt to wreck you, and if an opponent does then that opponent will become a "rival" and have a red arrow over the vehicle so you can track it down for Revenge! Crashing other racers will raise your maximum boost and you will lose it all if you crash yourself (by any means). Overall in races it pays to drive recklessly and aggressively, using any means to come in first place. Road Rage: Timed events in which you have to takedown other racers to add time to the clock and to reach the higher ranks. Every time you takedown a racer the game will display how many more you need to takedown to extend the timer. These are not races, you just have to keep driving and performing takedowns. Grand Prix: An event made up of a series of races in which driver rank carries over to each race and the total rank of all races determines the winners. For Grand Prix events it is best to try to finish in the top three for each race. Though you don’t necessarily need to come in first because the CPU racers are pretty inconsistent and crash often, losing their ranks. Just do your best to gain boost and stay ahead of the pack, using shortcuts and takedowns to gain an edge. Eliminator: Eliminator races do not have a set amount of laps, instead they have a 30 second timer that will count down. When this timer reaches zero, the racer in last place is eliminated and the 30 second time restarts and repeats. This goes on until only one racer remains so it is up to you to start strong and stay out of last place early on, and be sure you are in first place when only two of you (racers) remain! Crash: In Crash events your main goal is to crash your vehicle into a busy road, street, or intersection and cause as much damage to other vehicles as possible. Once you crash, other vehicles will start to crash, and others will crash into them, and so on and so forth. Each time vehicles crash, your crashbreaker bar will fill. Once the crashbreaker bar is full, you can execute a crashbreaker in an attempt to relocate your ride and cause even more crashes. Explosions will increase the score multiplier, and the gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded based on how much damage you cause ($ value). Crash events show a short cinematic of where you should go for optimal damage before you start, so the Crash events and their strategy do not stray far from that. Shortcuts in Burnout Revenge are pretty obvious unlike other racing titles. A shortcut will have two bight blue flashing markers on either side of the entrance (see below) and I will call out shortcuts of interest by their number, in the order that they appear. For example: "The first two shortcuts will save you precious seconds while most others are not necessary. Be sure to take the 7th shortcut (past the second bridge) for a chance for early victory as well." Otherwise, I will just refer to shortcuts in reference to landmarks in the tracks: "Take the two shortcuts on the freeway before entering the city." etc. Shortcut chains describe a series of shortcuts that aren't connected, but that exit right near the entrance to another (sometimes directly in front of you). These chains are referenced in the different events, so it's best you know what they are. Shortcuts in Game: |V| |V| <-- flashing blue shortcut signs |V| |V| |V| |V| |V| |V| |V| |V| Shortcut Entrance (road) _____________ ================= [BR6] Challenges ================= Each location has a set of in-game challenges that can be completed to fill in the Challenge Sheet. Once all challenges on a challenge sheet are completed, you are rewarded a special vehicle. Alongside the Challenge sheet for each location is the Takedown Book, snapshots of your signature takedowns. Challenges completed across different ranks all count towards the same sheet, so do not worry about trying to get all of the Sunshine Keys challenges in the Harmless Rank for example. Challenges can be completed in any order, whenever you finish the task. Most of them are unlocked for use by completing the various events, though a select few are only unlocked by completing the challenge sheets for each location. Race type vehicles can be used in all events, and crash vehicles can only be used in the crash events. It is best to use the crash vehicles in the crash events though, they are better suited for the job than racing vehicles. As you go along, the unlocked cars get faster and easier to handle. Completing an event refers to winning at least a bronze medal for unlocking purposes. The Tour is made up of 10 different event ranks, each holding different events spread across the different locations. As you pass events, more unlock in your current rank. As you pass even more events, more ranks open up and in turn, new events within those new ranks open up. You can go back to earlier ranks and events at any time, so don’t worry about progressing to the next rank too early. There is also a secret rank, that does not hold any events but unlocks a vehicle for use, Elite rank. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. Take the first shortcut on the right to plow through tables and chairs for extra cash, and take the next one (also on the right) for more tables and chairs. As you cross the bridge stay on the right side and plow through the traffic (the shortcut in between the bridges has no traffic at all and is not worth going through) on the bridge. After you exit the bridge it is worth taking the short- cut on the right to find plenty of parked cars and other destructibles for more cash, as soon as you exit this shortcut enter the one right across the road for more barrels to destroy. Stay on the main road until you see the yacht (ship) on the left and drive on that road to find plenty of parked cars and barrels to destroy. Continue on the main road until you hit the $500,000 needed for gold and then let the time run out. Burning Lap - Forwards Gold: 1:25.00 Silver: 1:40.00 Bronze: 2:05.00 You have to drive the Tuned R180 ST in this trial and time is tight. Make sure you take the shortcut on the left at the start and the one between the two bridges. When you reach the yacht (boat) follow that road to save some time and take the left side of the final bridge (against traffic) to reach the finish line quicker. If you boosted the entire time and followed the shortcuts, you should have the gold with seconds to spare. Race - Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 1 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place It is worth taking the first shortcut on the right (after the first major curve) and possibly the jump that is along that shortcut. Besides that you will want to stay on the main roads to check other racers and traffic to build your boost. Once you have a lead, stay on the main road and boost into oncoming traffic to keep your vehicle's boost built up. ~O0==============={Motor City}===============0O~ Crash - Dock Fight Gold $5,500,000 Silver $3,000,000 Bronze $1,000,000 Drive straight into the semi here, you do not want to fall off of the ledge, you want to stay on the road for your crashbreaker. Let the pileup ensue, and when you can activate your crashbreaker send your ride sailing into the other lane to keep that road blocked. With both roads blocked, watch the points add up and you will likely get another crashbreaker as well. Easy gold. Race - Short Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Choose a light, fast vehicle and take the shortcut on the left right in the beginning of the race for a nice lead. After the two major curves, take the parking garage shortcut for a huge jump and chance for vertical takedowns. Take the same shortcuts for the second lap and be sure to boost the entire time (especially after the large jump bonus). Crash - Deconstruction Site Gold $3,000,000 Silver $2,000,000 Bronze $1,000,000 Hit the ramp and as you are in the air, aim for the nearest vehicle so when you land you smack right into it. When you get your crashbreaker, steer your ride to the other lane so no traffic can pass. Should be an easy gold, just make sure you hit a car after the jump or else the traffic "jam" wont happen. Road Rage - Short Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 60 seconds Gold: 7 Takedowns Silver: 4 Takedowns Bronze: 2 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. When the event starts, follow the other racers and stay with the group, if one veers off into a shortcut or other route leave it be. You want to stay with multiple cars so your chances of quick takedowns are higher. Use the environment to your advantage, push opponents into poles or walls if you can and always try to shunt them into oncoming traffic. The best advice is to get used to slamming cars from the side into walls or poles, instant takedown. As long as you keep getting takedowns the time will extend and you can continue for the gold. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events. Crash - Cars Attacks Gold $7,000,000 Silver $4,000,000 Bronze $2,000,000 Head towards the ramp but instead of using it to jump, slam into one of the semis to cause a pileup on that side. Use your crashbreaker to block the other side of the road, and if you did it right you should have no problem scoring gold here. If you want to, you can bump the car in front of you at the start (to shoot it into traffic) and then take the ramp to the buses below. Either way, it's the same. Crash - Exploding Bay Gold $12,000,000 Silver $9,000,000 Bronze $6,000,000 Drive up the ramp, knocking the bus into the semis below as you make your jump. In the air try to steer towards the nearest moving semi on the far lane. Once you get your crashbreaker, use it to crash into the other lane for maximum pileup. Grand Prix 1 Weight Class: Light, Super Light Races: 3 Gold: 1st place (most points across the event) Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Points per race: 1st 6 2nd 4 3rd 3 4th 2 5th 1 6th 0 Race 1: 2 laps - Motor City Avoid shortcuts until you pass the first major curve and make it into the alleys, then take the two warehouse shortcuts there (first is on the left, and the second is on the right after you exit the first) for a high lead. The CPU racers don’t follow you into these warehouses often after usually are right on the main road behind you when you exit. Make use of the heavy traffic on the main street curves and try to check traffic into racers for traffic check takedowns. Learn the drift needed for the major curves on the first lap so you can perform them correctly on the second. Race 2: 1 lap - Sunshine Keys Stay on the main road for the race but drive into oncoming traffic (wrong side of the road) to build your boost. Avoid the shortcuts in this race as they will only slow you down because you need to build boost constantly to stay ahead. Ram and slam the other racers if they get close, trying for a takedown and make sure you boost the entire time. This is only one lap so you have to finish in the top three if not first place. Race 3: 1 lap - Lone Peak From the start, take the shortcuts on the right to jump to first place and then stay on the right road, taking the shortcut on the left up the hill for a jump which yields bonuses and boost. As you exit this alley, take the shortcut right in front of you to stay ahead. As you exit, take the left shortcut near the curve and follow the shortcuts in front of you until you reach the hangar area. When you exit to the freeway take the shortcut between lanes to get to the finish line quickly. If you took all of the shortcuts here you should have had no problem finishing this race in first. ~O0==============={Angel Valley}===============0O~ Crash - Hollywood Spills Gold $6,000,000 Silver $3,000,000 Bronze $1,500,000 As you start bump the small vehicles right in front of you (so they hit the semis and buses) and continue driving to the ramp (right). Control your car in the air so you come in and hit the bus passing. Use your crashbreaker to crash into the other lane and keep both lanes blocked. ~O0==============={Preview - Angel Valley}===============0O~ Gold: 1:36:00 Silver: 1:57:00 Bronze: 2:25:00 You drive the Modified R185 DX in this event and have to complete the lap in the allotted time to earn medals. Take the first shortcut on the left and be careful to dodge the pillars or you will crash. Take the two alley shortcuts afterward to shave off some time. You have to boost throughout the event to even get near the gold so check traffic and drive into oncoming traffic when you are on the main road. Take note that when you enter the rural area again, you are nearing the finish line and you have to push for the final time. Once you have the shortcuts down to where you can boost throughout the entire event, getting gold will be no problem. ====== ===================================================================== Rank 2 Unsafe ===== ==================================================================== * ~O0==============={Eternal City}===============0O~ Burning Lap - Long Forwards Gold: 1:56.00 Silver: 2:21.00 Bronze: 2:55.00 You have to drive the Works R170 ST in this trial, time is tight, and the track is long. The chain of shortcuts in the beginning (starts after the first curve and is on the right) will help you through the start quickly. After the chain of shortcuts, follow the main road (avoiding the next shortcut on either side) and then proceed to take the rest of the shortcuts that you can reach to avoid curves and gain time. If you are struggling to make it to a shortcut, as some of them require sharp drifts to enter, just pass the event with silver or bronze and try for the gold again. You must utilize the shortcuts here or the time will be too close. Race - Long Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 1 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Choose a super light vehicle and be sure to take every shortcut as the other racers are fast and aggressive. If a racer follows you into a shortcut, try to shove it into a wall or pillar as most of the shortcuts are in narrow alleys or halls. If you crash so much as once here it will be hard to get back into first place, so be cautious of the narrow alleys yourself. Crash - Road to Ruins Gold $3,000,000 Silver $1,500,000 Bronze $600,000 Head straight down the road hitting any cars in front of you, and slam into a bus or semi at the cross road. Use your crashbreakers to block the other side of the road. Once the entire intersection is blocked off, you should rack up the damage points. Road Rage - Long Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 60 seconds Gold: 7 Takedowns Silver: 4 Takedowns Bronze: 2 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! Race - Long Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 1 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Choose either a light or super light vehicle but make sure it has a fast top speed. Be sure to take the two jump shortcuts after the freeway and the tunnel shortcut that is right after you re-enter the city. The rest of the shortcuts can be difficult to enter without slowing down since the track is in reverse so just take the main roads for the rest of the lap while boosting the whole while. ~O0==============={White Mountain}===============0O~ Crash - Swiss Roll Gold $6,000,000 Silver $3,000,000 Bronze $750,000 Make your way down the road (right hand side), hitting all the cars on the way to the intersection. Crash into the vehicles there and use your crashbreaker to block the other side of the road, effectively blocking the entire intersection. Burning Lap Reverse Gold: 2:21.00 Silver: 2:51.00 Bronze: 3:32.00 You have to drive the Prototype R175 ST in this trial and time is tight so make use of boosts and shortcuts. Take the left road at the fork and take the shortcut jump as you climb the mountain (be sure to gain speed or you wont make the jump). Shortly after is another jump shortcut to take. When you enter the fishing village, take the unmarked curve left (before the marked road's curve) for a nice shortcut through the village. After your second mountain climb, skip the shortcut alongside the road as it tends to slow you rather than help. The finish line is shortly after that last shortcut, make sure you are boosting as much as possible (uphill especially). Crashbreaker Preview Race - Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light laps: 1 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place This race will introduce you to crashbreakers, a way to explode your car after a wreck in an attempt to takedown the car that wrecked you (or any others). Initiating a crashbreaker will drain your boost meter but if you takedown an opponent during it, the meter refills. If you know other racers are near, it is a good idea to use a crashbreaker when you wreck. If you are alone, well, don’t use it at the cost of all of your boost. Press 'B' to use the crashbreaker after a wreck, and use the LS to control the aftertouch of your vehicle. Take the cliff shortcut to the right as you descend but don’t fall off! This is a good chance to knock a racer off of the cliff if you can, otherwise just use it as the shortcut it is. Hone your drifting skills on the way down the spiral mountain, and take the shortcut at the bottom on the right (pier). Take the two jump shortcuts on the way down the second time and race to the finish taking the right road at the fork to save time! This is one of those races where the shortcuts boost you to the lead and leave everyone else far behind, so make sure you take them! Crash - Dangerous Swerves Gold $9,000,000 Silver $5,000,000 Bronze $1,500,000 Drive down the left side of the road as far as you can before crashing into the traffic on the right side (usually you will get halfway or so) and use your crashbreaker to block the left side. Easy enough, all of the traffic is on the bridge. Eliminator - Forwards Choose a fast vehicle and make sure you take the same shortcuts as the you did in the crashbreaker preview race here, especially the pier and jump ones. You have to stay ahead of last place throughout and make sure you are in first with a lead when only two racers remain. If it is down to you and another racer and they are right on you, try to take them down with traffic or pushing them into a wall or guardrail. Grand Prix 2 Weight Class: Light, Super Light Races: 3 Gold: 1st place (most points across the event) Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Points per race: 1st 6 2nd 4 3rd 3 4th 2 5th 1 6th 0 Race 1: 1 lap - White Mountain Take the two jump shortcuts early on and the shortcuts in the village as well. Be sure to boost while climbing the mountain and drift while descending it. The jumps in the beginning alone should give you a great lead on the other racers but if you need to, take the shortcut at the end to line anyone neck and neck with you up for a last ditch effort takedown on the bridge. An easy first place but taking 2nd or even 3rd will not hurt too much in a Grand Prix. Race 2: 1 lap - Eternal City Be sure to take the two jump shortcuts after the freeway and the tunnel shortcut that is right after you re-enter the city. The rest of the shortcuts can be difficult to enter without slowing down since the track is in reverse so just take the main roads for the rest of the lap while boosting the whole while. If you don’t crash, you should come in first easily as long as you take the early shortcuts and boost as much as possible. Race 3: Central Route Take the right shortcut early on and drive up the stairs to the high levels of the alleys for chances at vertical takedowns. Take the main road a bit until you see the next shortcut to take. From there, you can exit and see another. After these two there is one more that provides straight road in lieu of a curve and then you can safely take the main road to the exit. The main key in this race is to nail the early shortcuts and the ones after that avoid curves. While your opponents slow down while drifting, you don’t have to break your top speed or boost. If your points for the total Grand Prix put you in first place then you did really well! ~O0==============={Central Route}===============0O~ Crash - Crispy Fried Truck Gold $4,000,000 Silver $2,000,000 Bronze $1,000,000 Your goal is the intersection the preview shows you. Follow the small ramp, guiding your vehicle in the air to the next ramp. While in the air for the second ramp, steer to the buses driving left to right in the intersection, not the ones parallel to you. Use your crashbreaker to block the other lanes of the intersection. Crash - Grand Master Crash Gold $4,000,000 Silver $2,000,000 Bronze $1,000,000 Your vehicle is perfectly positioned at the start here, so go straight and use the ramp to launch yourself into the semis at the intersection. When going up the ramp, stay to the left and line yourself up with the passing rigs. Use crashbreakers to block the other part of the intersection and it should be a easy gold. The tricky part is controlling the jump off of the ramp. ~O0==============={Preview - Central Route}===============0O~ Gold 0:49:00 Silver 0:59:00 Bronze 1:13:00 You get to test drive the EA Racer GT in this preview and this is a very short lap so boost the entire time. Take the shortcut in the beginning and follow the right hand side of the road for the remainder. If you can make it to the shortcut near the end, it will allow you to avoid the curve but drifting might be easier in this fast vehicle. ====== ===================================================================== Rank 3 Reckless ===== * ==================================================================== * ~O0==============={Lone Peak}===============0O~ Crash - Wish upon a Car Gold $14,000,000 Silver $10,000,000 Bronze $8,000,000 This one is a little tricky. Follow the road, staying on the far right to avoid the semi, and drive off of the cliff (through the parked cars). The parked cars should fly out and start blocking the road, while you tumble down the mountain. If the cars block the road, you should get a crashbreaker. Use it to block the other side of the road and take out the buses. It might take a couple of tries to avoid the semi in the beginning, or if the parked cars don’t block the road correctly. ~O0==============={Central Route}===============0O~ Burning Lap - Long Forwards Gold: 1:12.00 Silver: 1:27.00 Bronze: 1:48.00 You have to drive the Limited R190 DX in this trial and as with all burning lap events, the time is very tight so you must boost as much as possible. Take the shortcut jump on the left to gain some boost, and after the curve follow the next shortcut (left) and drive up the stairs for another jump. After the Bus storage tunnel, take the high road and both shortcuts after to skip the curves and reach the finish line in time. If you do not take the shortcuts, you will never reach a time faster than 1:20:00. Make sure to drive into oncoming traffic in between shortcuts to build boost faster. Crash - Prawn Smackers Gold $8,000,000 Silver $5,000,000 Bronze $2,000,000 Go straight on down the road, bumping the two small vehicles into buses. Just as you hit the intersection, drive into a passing bus. Use the crashbreaker to make your way to the lower road and use aftertouch to glide to the center, effectively blocking the road. With the intersection above and the road below blocked, you're on your way to a easy gold. Traffic Attack - Long Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $400,000 Silver: $150,000 Bronze: $75,000 Starting time: 45.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. The main tunnel shortcuts about halfway through contain a row of parked cars for easy damage $ but other than those, stick to the left hand roads for heavy traffic and do your best to keep a combo string so you don’t run out of time. Eventually you will have such a high combo that you have more time than you need, so just go for the gold. Crash - Tram-A-Tised Gold $8,000,000 Silver $6,000,000 Bronze $4,000,000 Drive up to the ramp, bumping any small traffic on the way, and jump it. While airborne, steer towards one of the semis and plow into it to start the pileup. One good semi can block this freeway so you can use your crashbreaker to go down below if you want. Otherwise just try to blow up oil tankers or other semis. Race - Long Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 1 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place From the start immediately veer right and up the scaffolding to get some air. After a short drive on the main road hit the new jump shortcuts on the right and left and then stay on the right hand side for easy access to the next two shortcuts which enable you to skip curves and stay on straight road. Skip the subway shortcuts near the end and just stay on the main road and boost against oncoming traffic. ~O0==============={Eastern Bay}===============0O~ Road Rage - Lower Link Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 60 seconds Gold: 10 Takedowns Silver: 4 Takedowns Bronze: 2 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! Burning Lap - Lower Link Forwards Gold: 1:27:00 Silver: 1:46:00 Bronze: 2:11:00 You have to drive the Custom R185 DX in this trial through the city, make use of the oncoming lanes for boost and keep an eye out for the beneficial shortcuts. After the first tunnel take the shortcut on the right and then stay watch out for the two up coming shortcuts on the right (right after each other) You should have a few seconds to spare as you pass the finish line. If you have trouble building boost, check traffic to build it up some and drift the curves along the freeway. Race - Long Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 1 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Use the narrow tunnels in the beginning to try for an early takedown or two and continue through the different tunnels and stay on the left side when you finally hit the freeway again. Take both shortcuts on the left side, especially the one near the end to gain a massive lead. The CPU is aggressive in these races so play aggressively yourself, trying to take them out and staying in the lead at the same time. Crash - Intersection Dissection Gold $7,000,000 Silver $5,000,000 Bronze $2,000,000 Take the ramp and drive off right where the cones are (the preview shows this area) towards buses/semis below. When you get your crashbreaker, use it to block the other lanes and rack up the explosions. You have to block both lanes to get near the gold, or even silver. Eliminator - Long Reverse Choose a fast vehicle and make sure you take the same shortcuts as the you did in the Race - Long Forwards event here, especially making all the jumps. You have to stay ahead of last place throughout and make sure you are in first with a lead when only two racers remain. If it is down to you and another racer and they are right on you, try to take them down with traffic or pushing them into a wall or guardrail. Crash - Smashed in Translation Gold $6,000,000 Silver $2,500,000 Bronze $1,500,000 Just follow what the preview shows, take the freeway until you can drop off, and then crash at the intersection. You can hit the smaller vehicles in the beginning for more crashes and make sure you use the crashbreaker to block off the lane you didn’t crash in. Grand Prix 3 Weight Class: Light, Super Light Races: 3 Gold: 1st place (most points across the event) Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Points per race: 1st 6 2nd 4 3rd 3 4th 2 5th 1 6th 0 Race 1: 2 laps - Eastern Bay Take the shortcut after the first tunnels and the next three shortcuts along the main freeway to stay in the lead. Takedown any racers following you into shortcuts to get a boost bonus and do the same for the second lap. As with all Grand Prix events, coming in the top three is fine for the first race but gold all the way is perfection.. Race 2: 1 lap - Central Route Only one lap so no room for mess ups, take all the shortcuts including the jump ones. Try to get a few takedowns for the massive boost and just cruise to the finish line. Race 3: 1 lap - Lone Peak Going uphill take the right side road through the logging town, making sure you take the trail shortcut right after. Be careful not to crash in the trailer park, instead using the many obstacles to takedown opponents! After the trailer park, stay on the main road and boost to the finish line. ~O0==============={Preview - Lone Peak}===============0O~ Gold: 1:21:00 Silver: 1:39:00 Bronze: 2:02:00 You get to test drive the Hot Rod here, be sure to keep your boost up and start out taking the short cut on the left right in the beginning and all of the rest throughout. Necessary shortcuts are the three on the right side in the wooded area and the one on the left in the logging area. Be sure to drift properly on the way down the spiral hill to the finish line so you don’t lose time at the last stretch. ====== ===================================================================== Rank 4 Offensive ===== * * ==================================================================== * ~O0==============={Motor City}===============0O~ Eliminator - Short Forwards Choose a fast vehicle so you can stay ahead of the opposition. Take all of the shortcuts in the warehouse district and wreck traffic to build your boost. Keep ahead of the last place and make your way to first. If the other racer is close when there are only two of you (racers) left, go for takedowns using the traffic or environments. If you wreck, chances are you will be eliminated so you're going to be dancing on the razor's edge with this one. Traffic Attack - Long Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $400,000 Silver: $150,000 Bronze: $75,000 Starting time: 40.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. Stay on the main roads unless you are areas with light traffic, then utilize the loading docks or alleys which have a few parked cars (not many) to keep your bonus going. Take the jump at the construction site and the jump shortly after you get back to the city. Otherwise just follow the main road for the heavier traffic like mentioned above. Road Rage - Long Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 60 seconds Gold: 12 Takedowns Silver: 9 Takedowns Bronze: 6 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! Grand Prix 4 Weight Class: Light, Super Light Races: 3 Gold: 1st place (most points across the event) Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Points per race: 1st 6 2nd 4 3rd 3 4th 2 5th 1 6th 0 Race 1: 2 laps: Motor City Make use of the loading docks at the start for some boost and chance for a vertical takedown. When you reach the construction site, make sure you hit the jump there for a nice lead. There are two major jumps near the end, make sure you hit each for both laps. The final jump will get you close to the finish line so it is very useful if the race is close. Race 2: 2 laps: Lone Peak Take the right road at the start and make sure to take the shortcut trails in the woods and the trailer park shortcut afterward. There is a huge shortcut to the left after the trailer park which takes you over a wooden bridge and down below to a stream, giving a massive lead. Take the shortcuts again for the second lap to take the gold. Race 3: 3 laps: After the curves take the shortcut on the left to gain a small lead. A bit further up the main road you can find the string of shortcuts that start on the right, best to take them to avoid curves and stay in first. There are three laps so if you miss any shortcuts, be sure to take them in the final lap where it counts. ~O0==============={Angel Valley}===============0O~ Race - Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place In the beginning take either of the right side shortcuts and when you return to the main road, take the jump shortcut on the left which leads to the alley. When you return, take a sharp left off the main road to enter the next shortcut and gain the lead if you don’t have it yet. Along the main freeway is the final notable shortcut on the right, that leads to a dirt trail. Follow the shortcuts and you should have a massive lead throughout the race, just remember that there are two laps so make the last one count. Crash - Drain Damage Gold $14,000,000 Silver $8,000,000 Bronze $4,000,000 The easiest way to score gold here is to take the ramp on the right, bumping the parked car into traffic and launching yourself into the air towards the far lane's buses. If you connect with a bus or semi, you are good to go as you cause an instant block in that lane and can use a crashbreaker to block the other lanes. Road Rage - Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 50 seconds Gold: 15 Takedowns Silver: 9 Takedowns Bronze: 6 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Blocking the road is easy this way, so use your crashbreaker to take out the parked traffic on the overlook. Race - Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Take the shortcut on the left (start) to line yourself up for a takedown as you exit to the road, you wont gain a lead but its perfect for the early takedown and boost. The three shortcuts on the right shortly after (covered bridge to the stream) will grant a massive lead and are very important to take for both laps. Once you have your lead, stay on the main road and follow the previous shortcuts for lap 2. With the boost from your early takedown and the massive shortcut lead, you should have no trouble at all winning gold in this race. Crash - Forest Bump Gold $12,500,000 Silver $7,000,000 Bronze $3,000,000 On the road, rear end the two small vehicles in the right lane and as the car in the left lane nears, drive off the left side of the road/bridge into the traffic below. If you wind up in the right lanes (very likely), use your crashbreaker to block the left lanes. If you score some explosions and have both lanes blocked, the gold should be pretty easy to get. Burning Lap - Reverse Gold: 1:19.00 Silver: 1:37.00 Bronze 2:00.00 You have to drive the Custom R202 GT in this trial and it's high speed and the Lone Peak's huge shortcuts make this an easy gold. Follow the shortcuts after the logging town especially the trailer park (left) and the string of trail shortcuts (left and right alternating) to save time. Be sure you boost the entire time and nail the shortcuts to make the gold. Eliminator - Reverse Stay ahead of competition using the shortcuts from the last race (trail and trailer park ones especially) and you should have no problem keeping boost and staying in first. If it comes down to the last two racers and your opponent is right on you, slam it into traffic or walls if you can and then boost to freedom. A takedown is hard to recover from with the 30 second eliminations, so don’t wreck yourself! Crash - Jumping Jack Crash Gold $5,000,000 Silver $4,000,000 Bronze $2,000,000 No tricks here, what the preview shows you is spot on for getting the high score. Jump the two stunt ramps over the trailers and while airborne after the second jump, steer into the heavy traffic at the intersection. Use your crashbreaker to either destroy the parked buses or block any lanes of the road that you missed. ~O0==============={Eternal City}===============0O~ Crash - Circle of Strife Gold $3,000,000 Silver $2,000,000 Bronze $1,000,000 Drive up the main road and use the ramp to soar between the pillars to the bus on the other side. As long as you connect with the bus, you should cause a good enough pile up for gold. The jump is tricky so it may take a few tries to actually make it through the pillars. ~O0==============={Preview Eternal City}===============0O~ Gold: 0:57.00 Silver: 1:10.00 Bronze: 1:27.00 You're test driving the Euro Classic LM in this trial, keep a top speed and constant boost to take the gold! After the first curve, take the shortcut on the right and the next on on the left to avoid having to drift curves, and the next on the right to save time (the entrance to each of these shortcuts is right across from the previous, thus it is a chain of shortcuts). After the main strip (two parallel shortcuts on either side on the road) take the sharp shortcuts to avoid the next two curves. The Euro Classic is really fast so if the boosting takes away from your handling too much, just tap the boost instead of constantly holding it down. Periodic boosting should still net you a gold as long as you take the shortcuts to avoid curves/drifting. ====== ===================================================================== Rank 5 * Fearless ===== * * ==================================================================== * ~O0==============={Sunshine Keys}===============0O~ Crash - Smash my Ride Gold $7,000,000 Silver $3,500,000 Bronze $1,500,000 Follow what the preview showed you, taking the ramp on the right and flying into traffic. Use your crashbreaker to block the lane opposite the one you crashed into. A very straightforward crash event. ~O0==============={Motor City}===============0O~ Crash - Jump on the Jam Gold $8,500,000 Silver $6,000,000 Bronze $3,000,000 Hit the ramp and while airborne, steer towards the nearest vehicle so you don’t fly right off the bridge. Heavy vehicles cannot make the jump, use a nice medium ride such as the Dominator Assassin. The Assassin seems to be a perfect "go to" vehicle for most crash events with jumps. ~O0==============={Eternal City}===============0O~ Crash - Rome Wrecker Gold $3,000,000 Silver $2,000,000 Bronze $1,000,000 Take the road right and use the ramp on the left of the road to fly to the busy intersection. Aim for the right side of the circular road, and use your crashbreaker to block the other entrance. Pretty easy gold as long as you don’t miss the ramp. Road Rage - Short Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 40 seconds Gold: 15 Takedowns Silver: 9 Takedowns Bronze: 6 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! Crashbreaker Race - Long Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Make use of the heavy traffic in the beginning to try for early takedowns and take the shortcut jump on the left shortly after you enter the city. Be sure to take the shortcut on the right after the huge curve and the shortcuts deep in the city to avoid curves/drifting. Use crashbreakers if you wreck and other racers are near, otherwise avoid them. Crash - Smackeroni Gold $3,000,000 Silver $2,000,000 Bronze $1,000,000 A tricky crash event as you have to reach the second intersection not the first to achieve the high score. Use the ramp to clear the buses below (stay on the left side of the ramp to avoid smacking into a building) and when you land, check cars but dodge the cross traffic of the first intersection. When you n near the second intersection, crash head on into the cars and use your crashbreaker to further block the intersection. If you try for the first intersection, it is hard to get more than silver. There just isn’t enough traffic there, so make it to the second intersection if you want the gold. Crashbreaker Race - Short Reverse Laps 3 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Make use of the heavy traffic in the beginning to try for early takedowns and take the shortcut jump on the left shortly after you enter the city. Be sure to take the shortcut on the right after the huge curve and the shortcuts deep in the city to avoid curves/drifting. Use crashbreakers if you wreck and other racers are near, otherwise avoid them. This race has three laps so make sure the last one counts! Eliminator - Long Reverse Make use of the heavy traffic in the beginning to try for early takedowns and take the shortcut jump on the left shortly after you enter the city. Be sure to take the shortcut on the right after the huge curve and the shortcuts deep in the city to avoid curves/drifting. Be sure to get a takedown on your opponent if it is down to the last two (racers) and the other racer is close. No matter what, stay ahead of last place so you aren’t eliminated. Crash - Pasta Red Light Gold $16,000,000 Silver $10,000,000 Bronze $1,500,000 This is a tough crash event, and to get the gold everything needs to be perfect (luck plays a part in this). When you start, veer left to bump the parked car into the semi and then immediately get back to the right lanes. While on the right lanes, rear end all the small vehicles into the buses and semis, and drive off the freeway where the cones are, straight into the bus on this lower freeway. If you did everything correctly, and all the cars you hit caused crashes, it should be a close gold. I stress close as sometimes the cars will fly off at the wrong angle when you hit them. This might take a few tries to get the feel of it, but once you get it, it will be solid gold. Eliminator - Short Reverse Make use of the heavy traffic in the beginning to try for early takedowns and take the shortcut jump on the left shortly after you enter the city. Traffic Attack - Short Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $500,000 Silver: $175,000 Bronze: $75,000 Starting time: 35.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. Do your best to avoid wrecking with all the curves, oncoming traffic, and buses. It is best to stay on the main road as most of the shortcuts don’t have anything to damage. Make sure when taking curves that you drift into the vehicles along the curve, it makes a difference as the traffic is spread thin here. Grand Prix 5 Weight Class: Light, Super Light Races: 3 Gold: 1st place (most points across the event) Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Points per race: 1st 6 2nd 4 3rd 3 4th 2 5th 1 6th 0 Race 1: 3 laps - Eternal City Three laps here so make sure you do well on the third. Take the two shortcut chains for massive leads. One is right after the first curve, just follow the shortcuts one after the next. The second is halfway though the city and lets you bypass all of the major curves there. Easy to stay in the lead with these shortcuts, and you should know their locations by now in Eternal City. Race 2: 2 laps - White Mountain The other racers are pretty aggressive now so skip the first shortcut in the beginning, trying for takedowns on the way down the spiral mountain. Take the pier shortcut as you enter the fishing village, and the clock tower one as well for the jump boost and vertical takedown opportunity. Take the two jump shortcuts on your final descent for the lead! Make sure the second lap counts, you can catch up if you crashed in the first lap but the second lap is too important to screw up. Race 3: 2 laps - Sunshine Keys Take the alley shortcut on the left right away for a huge lead. Travel through travel on your way to the city, trying for takedowns and gaining boost. In the city, take the shortcuts early on if you want to avoid curves and make sure to take the yacht shortcut when exiting the city (left). Easy first place since the Keys are full of beneficial shortcuts and traffic (for takedowns & boosts). ~O0==============={White Mountain}===============0O~ Burning Lap - Forwards Gold: 2:03.00 Silver: 2:30.00 Bronze: 3:06.00 You have to drive the Criterion R205 GT in this trial through the mountainside so make use of the boost and shortcuts. Taking the cliff side shortcut early on is dangerous but will save a few seconds, as will the pier shortcut at the bottom of the mountain. The jumps in the center of town and on the final mountain descent will save you plenty of time, as long as you don’t crash. Keep on the boost and use the shortcuts for an easy gold. Traffic Attack - Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $750,000 Silver: $250,000 Bronze: $125,000 Starting time: 35.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. Stay on the main roads and avoid hitting semis, instead, use smaller vehicles to hit them into the semis. You crash if you hit semis or buses. On the mountain hills stay on the outside of the curves to hit parked cars because the traffic is light there. Otherwise, this is an easy gold. Road Rage - Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 50 seconds Gold: 18 Takedowns Silver: 12 Takedowns Bronze: 9 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! Note that the jumps on the mountain and in the fishing village are perfect opportunities for vertical takedowns. ~O0==============={Preview - Sunshine Keys}===============0O~ Gold: 1:23.00 Silver: 1:42.00 Bronze: 2:07.00 You get to test drive the Custom Classic here, take the shortcut near the docks to save some time, and also the four in the city (as soon as you enter, one will lead to the next). Avoid the bridge shortcut, it seems to slow you down more than anything. The alley shortcut near the end (right side) will take you right to the finish line and avoid the longer main road so take it as well. ====== ===================================================================== Rank 6 * * Dangerous ===== * * ==================================================================== * ~O0==============={Central Route}===============0O~ Crash - Won-Ton-Destruction Gold $7,500,000 Silver $5,000,000 Bronze $2,500,000 Pretty straightforward crash event, launch your car off of the ramp and steer it into the intersection, hopefully hitting a semi or bus. Make use of your crashbreaker to block any flowing traffic and cause some explosions! Pretty easy to get gold if you stop the entire intersection. Crashbreaker Road Rage - Short Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 45 seconds Gold: 18 Takedowns Silver: 12 Takedowns Bronze: 9 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! Crash - Shao Lin Tumble Gold $7,000,000 Silver $5,000,000 Bronze $2,500,000 Take the ramp and fly into the traffic on the left, blocking it. Use your crashbreaker or aftertouch (if you are that lucky) to float down to the traffic on the lower right in an attempt to block that road. If you can block both of the roads completely, you can get the gold. Any gaps or slip ups and you will likely only get silver, so it might take a couple of tries. Crash - Street Car Set On Fire Gold $5,000,000 Silver $2,000,000 Bronze $1,000,000 Use all of the jump ramps and while in the air from the final one, slam into the traffic at the intersection to start the pileup. If you hit the parked bus you went too far, you want to disrupt the intersection, not pass it by. Use your crashbreaker to block any flow of traffic that you missed with the initial crash and you should be good for the gold. Crashbreaker Race - Short Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 3 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Early on, take the two shortcuts on the right to avoid the curves and the one on the left after those. Race through the city, dodging traffic and trying for takedowns, making sure to take the Dragon Shortcut (neon dragon sign above) for a slight lead. Take the shortcuts for each lap, as they only grant small leads and you need to try to stay ahead at all times. Crashbreakers are active here, so use them if you need to. The finish line is right after the Dragon Shortcut so that's your final chance for a lead. Crash - Enter the Junction Gold $8,000,000 Silver $3,000,000 Bronze $1,000,000 Another tricky crash event, you have to clip the parked car on the way to the ramp so it causes a pileup in one intersection as you fly into the semi (from the ramp) at the second intersection. When you get your crashbreaker, use it to crash into the buses that are parked between the two intersections. It may take a try of two to get the hang of it, especially if the car you hit doesn’t block the first intersection. Crashbreaker Eliminator - Short Reverse Use the shortcuts in the beginning and the Dragon Shortcut for small leads, but those wont be quite enough as the other racers are pretty good in this race. Go for takedowns whenever you get a chance and use your crashbreaker if you wreck as a last ditch effort to keep from being eliminated. The rubber-banding of the A.I. is pretty cheap when it comes down to the last two racers, so a takedown at the last second is often the difference between silver and gold. Grand Prix 6 Weight Class: Light, Super Light Races: x Gold: 1st place (most points across the event) Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Points per race: 1st 6 2nd 4 3rd 3 4th 2 5th 1 6th 0 Race 1: 3 laps - Central Route Using the shortcuts to bypass curves and gain the small leads will help but gaining takedowns will keep you in first place. It is easy to get multiple takedowns at once with the traffic and road obstacles, so do your best to wreck everyone else and boost through the shortcuts. Race 2: 2 laps - Eastern Bay Take the tunnel shortcut early on and stay to the left as you re-enter the freeway to take the two shortcuts there for a massive lead. Take the previous shortcuts for both laps and you should have no trouble with the other racers, and no trouble for coming in first place for this race. Race 3: 2 laps - White Mountain Go for takedowns early, especially on the spiral descent. Don't forget to take the pier shortcut in the fishing village, and the clock tower shortcut after. When you come to the two jumps, take them for a nice lead seconds away from the finish line. Easy to come in first if you take the shortcuts, and get some early takedowns in. ~O0==============={Eastern Bay}===============0O~ Traffic Attack - Lower Link Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $1,000,000 Silver: $300,000 Bronze: $150,000 Starting time: 30.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. Stay on the freeway as the shortcuts have no vehicles to damage. Make sure you stay with the flow of traffic as the freeways change a lot here, other than that it should be an easy gold. Crashbreaker Race - Lower Link Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Take the (3) shortcuts along the freeway and especially the one shortcut after exiting the freeway. Use traffic to takedown opponents that get too close and build your boost. Be careful with oncoming lanes as the traffic is heavy on the freeways. Otherwise, boost as much as you can and make it through both laps taking the gold. Eliminator - Lower Link Forwards Use the shortcuts in the tunnel and on the freeway to stay ahead, and check traffic for boost and chances at takedowns. Stay out of last place and make your way to first while weaving in and out of traffic on the busy freeway. If it comes down to the last two and the other racer is close, try for a takedown and boost away. Crashbreaker Race - Lower Link Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place As with the other link races, be sure to take the shortcuts on the freeway and especially the one in the tunnel (right side) for a decent lead. When in heavy traffic, check and slam vehicles for boost and possible takedowns. If you wreck and know a racer is near, use your crashbreaker for revenge and a massive boost. Watch out for the intersections in the city, often there are buses going back and forth that are easy to crash into if you aren’t careful. Crash - Crashaoke Gold $6,500,000 Silver $4,500,000 Bronze $1,000,000 Drive past the first intersection, staying in the right lane and hitting all the small vehicles into other traffic. After you drive up the small hill, make your crash on either side of the freeway and use your crashbreaker to block the opposite side. As long as you check traffic along the way and make it to the four lane highway after the hill you are good for gold. Crashbreaker Road Rage - Long Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 45 seconds Gold: 16 Takedowns Silver: 12 Takedowns Bronze: 9 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! Use the tunnels and busy freeways for easy takedown opportunities and don’t forget about crashbreakers if you wreck and other racers are close by. Traffic Attack - Long Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $500,000 Silver: $200,000 Bronze: $100,000 Starting time: 30.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. Early on the traffic is light so smash smaller vehicles into buses for a bonus and try to continue doing this until the traffic picks up. Once you are in the heavy traffic, you should be fine to get the gold. ~O0==============={Preview - White Mountain}===============0O~ Gold: 2:00.00 Silver: 2:27.00 Bronze: 3:02.00 You get to test drive the Criterion Racer GT in this lap and this thing is fast! Take the two jumps early on as you scale the mountain and in the fishing village take the unmarked curve (right before the marked curve) and the jump shortcut to save time. Be careful of the intersection at the entrance to the last tunnel and skip the shortcut at the end (it slows you down rather than helping save time). ====== ===================================================================== Rank 7 * * * Insane ===== * * ==================================================================== * ~O0==============={Sunshine Keys}===============0O~ Crashbreaker Eliminator - Forwards Take the alley shortcut on the left at the start for a huge lead, and take the others inside the city (right side) as well. Do not take the bridge shortcut before the city as it just slows you down. As you exit the city take the short- cut by the yacht, staying in first place. If you are not in first place, go for takedowns which are easy with all the traffic and curves. As with all eliminator races, stay ahead of last place and when it is down to two drive aggressively if the other racer is close. Crashbreaker Road Rage - Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 45 seconds Gold: 18 Takedowns Silver: 12 Takedowns Bronze: 9 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! Crashbreakers are active for this road rage, so if you wreck use it to take down the racer(s) that wrecked you! Crashbreaker Race - Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Use the traffic and curves every chance you get to try for takedowns, also be aware that crashbreakers are active in case you wreck and need instant revenge! Take the shortcut near the yacht and the alley shortcut near the end. If you can make the shortcuts in the city they give good chances for vertical takedowns and let you bypass some curves, so they can help. Avoid the bridge shortcut, it just slows you down. ~O0==============={Motor City}===============0O~ Crash - Double Crossed Gold $8,000,000 Silver $4,000,000 Bronze $1,000,000 Straightforward crash event, use the ramp to launch your car into the middle of the intersection. Use your crashbreaker to block any moving lanes. Crash - Mighty Docks Gold $3,000,000 Silver $2,000,000 Bronze $750,000 Another straightforward crash event, use the ramp to launch your car into the middle of the intersection. Use your crashbreaker to take out the parked cars or to block any open lanes there may be. Crash - Return of the Semi Gold $4,000,000 Silver $2,000,000 Bronze $1,000,000 Tricky crash event. Go up the left road and take the ramp to the rooftop, try to stay centered in the air so you land lined up with the ramp there. Take the rooftop ramp to the freeway down below, slamming into the semi driving by. Use your crashbreaker to go off the far side of the freeway and land in the street below. Ramp, ramp, crash, crashbreaker off to the street. Its pretty tricky to get it down, so it may take a few tries. You have to block both the freeway and the street to get the gold. There is a parking garage below the rooftop ramp which offers a ramp to the same freeway. That may be better for you to aim for if you have a heavier vehicle or are having trouble nailing the bigger jumps. Crashbreaker Race - Long Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Make use of the tunnel shortcuts early on, and use the pillars and traffic for takedowns. If you can, take the overpass shortcut after the warehouses and then the jump shortcuts in the construction zone. Remember that crashbreakers are active, in case you wreck you have a chance for instant revenge! ~O0==============={Angel Valley}===============0O~ Burning Lap Forwards Gold: 1:25.00 Silver: 1:44.00 Bronze: 2:09.00 You have to drive the Revenge Racer in this trial, and to get the gold you have to make use of shortcuts and of course boosting. Take the first shortcut there on the right and the jump-alley shortcut on the left shortly after. In the city take the two shortcuts to avoid curves and as you exit the city, take the right side shortcut to bypass the freeway to end up near the finish line. Crashbreaker Race - Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Boost constantly and make use of shortcuts here to stay in the lead. If you do wreck, don’t forget that crashbreakers are active. Take the first shortcut there on the right and the jump-alley shortcut on the left shortly after. In the city take the two shortcuts to avoid curves and as you exit the city, take the right side shortcut to bypass the freeway and get that last second lead for the finish. Use traffic, crashbreakers, and jumps (vertical takedowns) to keep the other racers at bay if they are close. Traffic Attack - Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $450,000 Silver: $250,000 Bronze: $100,000 Starting time: 25.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. Hit the parked cars early on and make sure you get to the traffic quickly. Traffic is spread pretty thin here so stay on the main roads and hit everything you can. Some of the shortcuts have parked cars, but not many so stick to the main roads. Crash - Crash of the Titans Gold $8,000,000 Silver $4,000,000 Bronze $1,500,000 Drive straight up the ramp and crash into the semis on the far lane as they near the on ramp. Doing so will block both the on ramp and the far freeway lanes. Broadside the semi though (hit it in the side) so you have an easier time using your crashbreaker to get over to the other freeway lanes and block them. Once both sides of the freeway and the on ramp are blocked, the gold should be in your pocket! Crashbreaker Road Rage - Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 45 seconds Gold: 19 Takedowns Silver: 14 Takedowns Bronze: 12 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! Crashbreakers are active so if you wreck and have a chance for revenge, blow up your vehicle! Note that if you stay on the main roads, this is a perfect event for vertical takedowns. ~O0==============={Lone Peak}===============0O~ Traffic Attack - Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $900,000 Silver: $350,000 Bronze: $150,000 Starting time: 25.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. The key to a high score here is to check traffic into the many semis and buses throughout the course. There isn’t enough traffic to play this one regularly, you have to take out the big rigs. Crash - Off the Beaten Truck Gold $2,500,000 Silver $1,500,000 Bronze $750,000 Take the ramp and crash into the intersection, blocking the traffic there. Use your crashbreaker to destroy the parked buses at the overpass and it should be a easy gold. Crashbreaker Road Rage - Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 45 seconds Gold: 17 Takedowns Silver: 14 Takedowns Bronze: 12 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! Crashbreakers are active so if you wreck and have a chance for revenge, blow up your vehicle! Crashbreaker Eliminator - Forwards Stay ahead of competition using the main shortcuts in the forest (trail and trailer park ones especially) and you should have no problem keeping boost and staying in first. If it comes down to the last two racers and your opponent is right on you, slam it into traffic or walls if you can and then boost to freedom. A takedown is hard to recover from with the 30 second eliminations, so use your crashbreaker if you wreck for instant revenge! Crashbreaker Grand Prix 7 Weight Class: Light, Super Light Races: 4 Gold: 1st place (most points across the event) Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Points per race: 1st 6 2nd 4 3rd 3 4th 2 5th 1 6th 0 Race 1: 2 laps - Lone Peak Use the many curves and obstacles for takedowns early on, and stick to the main roads until you can take the trail shortcuts for a huge lead (shortcut chain starts in the forest area). Pretty easy gold if you take the shortcuts and go for takedowns whenever you get a chance. Don’t forget the unmarked shortcut at the end (right side after the bridge) for your last chance at a lead! Race 2: 2 laps - Motor City Make use of all of the jump shortcuts (loading docks, sheet metal ramps) for small leads and vertical takedown chances. In the city, use the shortcuts to bypass curves and save time from the freeway overpass. Above all, use the narrow lanes and traffic for takedowns, and don’t forget about the crashbreakers if you need them. Race 3: 2 laps - Sunshine Keys Take the shortcut in the beginning for a huge lead (left side) and the yacht shortcut (left) after exiting the city. Keep boosting the entire time and use the heavy traffic for takedowns if other racers somehow get close. The huge leads from the two mentioned shortcuts are usually enough to keep you in the lead unless you wreck, then go for the crashbreaker takedown! Race 4: 2 laps - Eastern Bay For this final race, use the heavy traffic and narrow tunnels to rack up as many takedowns as you can. Utilize the freeway shortcuts if you'd like, though you can finish in first just by boosting, checking traffic, and getting takedowns. Your decision, either way will keep you in first place. Don’t forget about crashbreakers if you get taken out yourself. ~O0==============={Preview Eastern Bay}===============0O~ Gold: 2:03.00 Silver: 2:30.00 Bronze: 3:06.00 You get to test drive the Nixon Special in this trial, keep boosting and use shortcuts to take the gold. The tunnel shortcut (right) and freeway shortcuts (left) are extremely helpful in saving time. If you keep a top speed and use those shortcuts, you shouldn’t have any trouble getting the gold. ====== ===================================================================== * Rank 8 * * * Maniac ===== * * ==================================================================== * ~O0==============={Motor City}===============0O~ Crash - van-Fire Strikes Back Gold $5,000,000 Silver $3,000,000 Bronze $1,000,000 Drive straight through the traffic on the left, checking all the small vehicles and then drop off the broken part of the freeway (left) straight into the traffic below. Use your crashbreaker to block the other side of the road down below. If you checked the vehicles on top, and blocked the two lanes below, the gold should be pretty easy to obtain. ~O0==============={Angel Valley}===============0O~ Crash - Highway to Crash Gold $11,000,000 Silver $5,000,000 Bronze $2,000,000 Use the first jump ramp and steer towards the second jump ramp while airborne. During the second jump, steer towards the car in front of the bus and crash into it, using aftertouch to slide to the far lane, effectively blocking both lanes early. If you blocked both lanes like mentioned above you should have your first crashbreaker immediately, use it to explode everything around you. Easy gold only if you block both lanes right away, otherwise you wont be able to destroy enough vehicles for the high score (a whopping eleven million!). ~O0==============={Eternal City}===============0O~ Crashbreaker Race - Long Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Use the traffic early on to gain some boost or takedowns and take the on ramp shortcut on the left side of the freeway for a lead. In the city as you exit the first shortcut, take the alley shortcut chain on the right and follow the connecting alleys which exit by the stair fountain. The next shortcut (right) helps a lot, but only if you can keep your speed as you drift around the building. Take the shortcuts after you pass the archway to avoid the curves and intersections. Crashbreakers are active, so use them if you need to. Traffic Attack - Short Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $1,000,000 Silver: $400,000 Bronze: $250,000 Starting time: 25.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. Hit all of the cones on the freeway for $100 a piece, it adds up and grants boost. Use the light traffic to your advantage, smacking them into the buses scattered around the track. Getting the gold is tough if you don’t take out the buses, and since you cannot crash them directly (without wrecking), learning how to check traffic into other specific vehicles is necessary. Traffic Attack - Long Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $600,000 Silver: $200,000 Bronze: $50,000 Starting time: 25.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. Traffic is pretty light in this event, so don’t miss any vehicles you can check. Once you get about halfway through the course, beware the intersection in the city, crashing into the cross traffic will cause you to wreck. Besides that, stay on the main road and don’t miss any opportunities for points. Crash - Eternal Flames Gold $3,000,000 Silver $2,000,000 Bronze $1,000,000 You have to reach the second intersection using the ramp, checking the cars on the way to block the first intersection. I find it easier to check the two on the right and veer left immediately afterward to hit the ramp square in the center. While airborne, steer towards the moving traffic, not the parked buses. Use your crashbreaker to take out the parked buses after everything is blocked and the gold should be yours. Crashbreaker Race - Short Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 3 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Throughout the race, use the extremely heavy traffic for very easy (and often) takedowns. Take all three shortcuts in the city to avoid the curves, and the alley shortcut (left) right after. If you miss any of the shortcuts, drive more aggressively because the racers stay right on you in this event. Psyche out takedowns are easy to accomplish when driving through the narrow archways, that can give you some breathing room. Don’t forget to boost throughout, and keep your boost filled. Crashbreaker Eliminator - Short Forwards Take the shortcut chain right after the first curve to jump to first place (starts on the right side). Make use of the shortcuts to avoid the curves and take the off ramp (left) in the beginning of the freeway to stay ahead. With the large lead you have, keep you boost up and stay in first for the gold. If other racers close in on you, go for takedowns and stay ahead. Crashbreaker Eliminator - Long Forwards Take the shortcut chain right after the first curve to jump to first place (starts on the right side). Make use of the shortcuts to avoid the curves and boost as you drive up the stairs for huge air time (and to gain boost), maybe a vertical takedown if you are lucky. Use the heavy traffic on the freeway for takedown opportunities and the boost bonuses. Don’t forget about takedowns, this is a long event and you might wreck now and then. Crashbreaker Road Rage - Short Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 35 seconds Gold: 17 Takedowns Silver: 13 Takedowns Bronze: 10 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! Crashbreaker Grand Prix 8 Weight Class: Light, Super Light Races: 3 Gold: 1st place (most points across the event) Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Points per race: 1st 6 2nd 4 3rd 3 4th 2 5th 1 6th 0 Race 1: 2 laps - Eternal City Take the shortcut chain that starts right after the first curve (right side) for the usual Eternal City lead. Be cautious near intersections and any other cross traffic, as both are present in this event. Do your best to score takedowns and drive aggressively in general to keep first place. Take the coliseum shortcut (left) when you reach the heart of the city. Sometimes other racers will follow you there, that is a perfect opportunity to slam them off the edge! Race 2: 2 laps - White Mountain You should be very familiar with White Mountain strategy by now, so I will just do a quick recap. Take the two jump shortcuts early on (left side), drift take the shortcuts in the fishing village, and drive aggressively! The other racers don’t react well to psyche outs and slams off of cliffs, so take advantage of that... Race 3: 2 laps - Motor City Take the side shortcut right away for some jumps, and take the tunnel shortcut when you enter the main road. Drive aggressively, and go for takedowns using the wonderfully designed full-of-obstacle layout of Motor City to your advantage. Take the freeway overpass instead of going underneath, unless other racers are on your tail. In that case, go underneath and slam them into the pillars! Utilize the jumps in the construction zone and boost your way to the finish line! ~O0==============={White Mountain}===============0O~ Crash - Fly for Alp Gold $5,000,000 Silver $3,000,000 Bronze $1,500,000 Drive up the right side of the road, checking all the small vehicles and then cut to the left lane and crash head on with the semi. Both lanes should be blocked, so use you crashbreaker to cause explosions further down the left lane. Crashbreaker Eliminator - Reverse Make use of the jumps in the beginning for a nice lead. As you descend the mountain, try for takedowns into the guardrails or traffic. Take the shortcuts in the fishing village to keep ahead, especially the jump on the right. Boost up the spiral mountain and you should have no trouble taking the gold here. Crash - Mountain the Kerb Gold $5,500,000 Silver $2,500,000 Bronze $1,000,000 Another tricky crash event, you need to descend the spiral mountain, checking all the cars along the way. Once you reach the oncoming traffic, slam into the tanker and use your crashbreaker to reach the other semi below. That does not sound too tricky but to get the gold, the cars you check in the beginning have to cause a jam at the intersection and hit the buses on the descent. If you check a car at the wrong angle and miss one of these opportunities, the gold will be just out of reach. This might take a couple of tries to get it right, though luck plays some part in it. Crashbreaker Road Rage - Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 40 seconds Gold: 18 Takedowns Silver: 12 Takedowns Bronze: 9 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! Traffic Attack - Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $700,000 Silver: $300,000 Bronze: $125,000 Starting time: 25.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. Don't hit the bus right in the beginning! Drive with traffic, checking every car into the vehicles in the other lane. Avoid the jumps early on, just stay with the traffic. If you wreck in most places here, traffic moves on and takes more than a few seconds to catch up to so try to be careful when driving along the narrow mountainside. Crashbreaker Race - Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Use the cliff shortcut early on mainly to try for takedowns (slam racers off of the cliff side). Drift well down the spiral mountain and take the pier and clock tower shortcuts, giving you a huge lead in this race. As if the previous shortcut wasn’t enough, the two jump shortcuts near the end keep you ahead. Use these jumps to leave your opponents in the dust! For the second lap, skip the cliff side shortcut and just boost down the road instead. ~O0==============={Preview Motor City}===============0O~ Gold: 1:25.00 Silver: 1:45.00 Bronze: 2:11.00 You get to test drive the Etnies Racer in this event, use boost and shortcuts to get the gold. First off, this car is fast. Take turns properly so you do not lose control and when boosting be careful not to slam into obstacles in the environment. Take the tunnel shortcut early on and the two shortcuts in the heart of the city. Take the freeway (left) after exiting the city instead of traveling beneath it, it is too easy to wreck on the pillars there. Take the construction jumps for air time (boost) and the warehouse shortcut as well to avoid the curves. If you mess with the curves and don’t have the extra boost from the jumps, you might not be able to finish fast enough to get the gold. ====== ===================================================================== * * Rank 9 * * * Assassin ===== * * ==================================================================== * ~O0==============={Angel Valley}===============0O~ Eliminator - Forwards Right away, take the shortcut on the right and a bit further down, the jump shortcut to the alley on the left. Take the various shortcuts in the city to avoid curves, and the shortcut chain on the left after the main curve. Be sure to go for takedowns on the freeway, knowing that the finish line is right after the off ramp. Stay in the lead throughout, and this should be an easy gold as the forward version of Angel Valley has generous shortcuts. Crash - Crash De La Vista Gold $6,000,000 Silver $4,000,000 Bronze $2,000,000 Check traffic on the way to the ramp and use the ramp to crash into the three parked cars. Use aftertouch to make your way into the traffic below, causing a pileup. Use your crashbreaker to make it to the far lanes and block them for the most destruction possible! Crash - Car Wars Gold $8,000,000 Silver $4,000,000 Bronze $1,500,000 This crash event is pretty hard and it will take a few tries to get it right. You have to use the ramp to launch yourself into the semi on the top section, use aftertouch to drop down directly below to the second section, and then crashbreak down to the freeway below. It is not easy at all so take it one step at a time: Top overpass, lower overpass, main freeway. Crashbreaker Race - Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Take the freeway shortcut right away for a huge lead and when in the city, use the heavy traffic and shortcuts to stay ahead. As you exit the city, take the shortcut on the left and run any racers that get near off of the road to stay in the lead. ~O0==============={Lone Peak}===============0O~ Crash - Drive-Thru Destruction Gold $6,000,000 Silver $4,000,000 Bronze $2,000,000 Use the jump to make it down to the road below, smash into the parked car on the right (not the bus on the left), causing it to fly into traffic. Use your crashbreaker to block any moving lanes, but the car you hit should have already blocked everything. Crashbreaker Road Rage - Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 40 seconds Gold: 22 Takedowns Silver: 18 Takedowns Bronze: 15 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Make use of the jumps in the beginning, and take the shortcuts throughout this small course to save time. The event is "Long" but Central Route is pretty small, so just keep boosting and driving dangerously to cruise through the event. Crash - Double-Wrecker Gold $8,000,000 Silver $4,000,000 Bronze $2,000,000 Head down around the buses (going around them from the far right works well) and shunt the parked cars into the intersection, hopefully sending them over the edge into the traffic below. Use your crashbreaker to get down below if the cars you hit didn’t make it. You have to block both the intersection and the road below it to get the gold here, so it isn’t as easy as it looks. Traffic Attack - Long Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $1,200,000 Silver: $500,000 Bronze: $250,000 Starting time: 20.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. Use the shortcuts for your first "lap" as most have parked cars you can total for easy points. On further laps however, there wont be anything there (if you took them out the first time around) so you will have to travel the main roads, where traffic is light. Shunt traffic into the other lanes when you can, and try to avoid crashing because you wont recover in time to catch back up. Crashbreaker Road Rage - Long Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 40 seconds Gold: 17 Takedowns Silver: 13 Takedowns Bronze: 10 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! Crashbreaker Race - Long Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place There are tons of shortcuts here, and all will help a lot. Notable ones are the jumps in the beginning and half-way through, unmarked roads to take instead of curves, and parking garage ramps. Above all, take the Dragon Shortcut at the end, it grants a small lead right before the finish line. Crashbreaker Eliminator - Short Forwards Make use of the shortcut chain that begins on the right hand side early on in the race. After the first major intersection there is another shortcut that lets you bypass the curve (left side). Drive aggressively and use traffic and jumps to score lots of takedowns, and to score them often. When it is down to the last two racers, take it to the extreme and weave in and out of oncoming traffic, confusing you opponent and likely causing it to wreck. If the last racer wrecks you when it is just the two of you, a crashbreaker can save the day and net you gold! Traffic Attack - Short Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $650,000 Silver: $300,000 Bronze: $125,000 Starting time: 20.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. The shortcuts have parked traffic for you, so make sure you take them your first time around. Traffic flow is pretty high here, with semis and buses lined up with less vehicles for you throughout the course. Crashbreaker Race - Short Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 3 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Use all of the shortcuts to your advantage here since the race is rather short. Drive aggressively and use traffic for takedowns when possible, and do not forget to take the Dragon Shortcut for your last chance at a lead before the finish line. ~O0==============={Eastern Bay}===============0O~ Crashbreaker Race - Upper Link Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Weave in and out of traffic to score takedowns easily throughout the race, the narrow tunnels and oncoming traffic are perfect for "ambush" takedowns as well. Make use of the shortcuts in the city and freeway, the rest is boosting and takedowns. Traffic Attack - Long Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $750,000 Silver: $200,000 Bronze: $125,000 Starting time: 50.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. Traffic is extremely light in this event, so take all shortcuts (for parked cars) and hit everything you can for points. If you build your time high enough through bonuses, the gold will be no problem. Getting all the bonuses and extra time in the first place is the tough part, you cannot miss anything. Burning Lap - Eastern Bay Upper Link Gold: 1:12.00 Silver: 1:30.00 Bronze: 1:51.00 You get to test drive the Black Elite Racer for the second time in this event! Use the vehicle's high speed and tight handling to breeze through this course's shortcuts and snag the gold! It's easy to skip the first shortcut, make sure you stay on the left side of the tunnel at the start to see it. Crash - Smashimi Gold $4,500,000 Silver $2,000,000 Bronze $1,000,000 Drive along the left side, checking traffic, and then drop off at the opening on the right. As you fall, you should aim for the tanker, which will probably block both lanes for you. If it doesn't block both lanes, use a crashbreaker to block the other one. Thankfully, this turned out to be an easy one given the high rank you need to be to access it. Crashbreaker Road Rage - Upper Link Reverse Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 40 seconds Gold: 22 Takedowns Silver: 18 Takedowns Bronze: 12 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! Crashbreaker Eliminator - Upper Link Reverse Use the traffic, sharp curves, and obstacles to your advantage, scoring as many takedowns as you can when you get a chance. Use the two freeway shortcuts after the first tunnel (left) to stay ahead. The constant tunnels are an excellent place to wreck other racers, drive aggressively and take them down so you don’t get eliminated! Crashbreaker Road Rage - Long Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 40 seconds Gold: 22 Takedowns Silver: 18 Takedowns Bronze: 15 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! Crashbreaker Eliminator - Long Forwards As with all Eliminator events, you want to stay ahead of last place, eventually take first place (and keep it), and takedown other racers that get close. Thankfully, Eastern Bay is full of traffic, tunnels, and obstacles to keep your opponents in check, and the shortcuts help a lot. Stay on the left side in the beginning to take the two shortcuts there, and take the tunnel shortcut (right) shortly afterward. The next two shortcuts on the freeway (left) will keep you ahead, at that point just continue boosting and taking out the opposition, and you should have no problem getting gold here. There is another on the left, just after the third major freeway one that is good as well, but not necessary Race 2: 3 laps - Central Route Use the shortcut chain (starts on the right side) early on to gain an edge, while using the heavy traffic to takedown the other racers. The two shortcuts after the main city are excellent as well (one is the Dragon Shortcut). The Dragon shortcut takes you right to the finish line as always, so make sure you use it. Race 3: 2 laps - Angel Valley Right away, take the shortcut on the right and a bit further down, the jump shortcut to the alley on the left. Take the various shortcuts in the city to avoid curves, and the shortcut chain on the left after the main curve. Use the heavy traffic on the bridge and inner city to rack up large bonuses. Pretty standard Traffic Attack, no real trick for gold besides hitting everything in sight. Crashbreaker Eliminator - Forwards Take the shortcut on the immediate left for a huge lead! Use the different shortcuts in the city to avoid curves and stay ahead, while checking traffic in an effort to takedown opponents. Crash - Silly-Cone Valley Gold $12,000,000 Silver $8,000,000 Bronze $4,000,000 Take the ramp and fly into the traffic on the overpass (hitting anything works as the semis topple over and block the entire road). Use your crashbreaker to reach the lanes below and block them. With both the overpass and the main freeway blocked off, the damage will rack up pretty quick. Traffic Attack - Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $1,300,000 Silver: $800,000 Bronze: $400,000 Starting time: 20.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. Traffic is really light throughout, pull off trick shots and boost to catch up with the next bit of traffic. Once you build some decent time the gold is no problem, just be sure not to wreck as you wont be able to catch back up to traffic. ~O0==============={Lone Peak}===============0O~ Crashbreaker Race - Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Start off strong by taking the shortcut to the immediate left, and trying for a takedown as you exit into the main road. After the bridge you can take the shortcut chain on the right for one of the biggest leads in Lone Peak. It's almost unfair (to the opposition), how much of the main course this chain will allow you to bypass. Use it and take the new chain on the left as you exit! Boost the rest of the way to keep your lead and grab the gold! Crash - Doughnut Disturb Gold $7,000,000 Silver $4,000,000 Bronze $2,000,000 Yes, you have to jump through a giant, sprinkled doughnut in order to reach the intersection below. Arguably one of the coolest crash events, and one of the easiest. As you take the ramp, steer through the center of the giant tasty treat and slam into one of the semis passing by. Use your crashbreaker to block the other lanes and you should be good for the gold. Easy to get on a first try, but you may find yourself playing this one again for the fun factor. Crash - Live and Let Crash Gold $8,000,000 Silver $4,000,000 Bronze $2,000,000 This one looks tricky but it is rather easy to pull off. Drive along the bridge and drive off to the right where the opening is, steering towards the right lane of the road below. Check all the traffic on the way down and avoid the semis and buses. When you come to the intersection, t-bone the bus and let nature take it's course from there. Use your crashbreaker to destroy the parked buses if you can get to them to help speed up the score for the gold. Crashbreaker Eliminator - Forwards Start off strong by taking the shortcut to the immediate left, and trying for a takedown as you exit into the main road. After the bridge you can take the shortcut chain on the right for one of the biggest leads in Lone Peak. It's almost unfair (to the opposition), how much of the main course this chain will allow you to bypass. Use it and take the new chain on the left as you exit! Take out any racers that get too close, and don’t forget to use your crashbreaker if you wreck and can score a takedown with it! Crash - Mount Crushmore Gold $6,500,000 Silver $3,000,000 Bronze $1,500,000 Drive towards the ramp checking the cars on the way, and try to crash into one of the semis at the intersection. Use your crashbreaker to take out the parked cars and buses once the intersection is blocked. If you don’t check the cars at the start, gold might be just out of reach so be sure to hit them. Burning Lap - Forwards Gold: 1:19.00 Silver: 1:37.00 Bronze: 2:01.00 You get to test drive the Logitech World Racer in this event, use boost and the beneficial shortcuts to finish in record time! Make use of the shortcut on the left right at the start, the shortcut chains after the bridge (right), and the one on the left afterward Boost to the end while controlling your drifting. ~O0==============={Eternal City}===============0O~ Traffic Attack - Long Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $300,000 Silver: $125,000 Bronze: $50,000 Starting time: 20.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. Burning Lap - Long Reverse Gold: 1:35.00 Silver: 1:58.00 Bronze: 2:27.00 You get to test drive the Logitech World Racer in this event, use boost and the beneficial shortcuts to finish in record time! On the left side of the freeway, take the shortcut to save time and after climbing the stairs, take the coliseum shortcut. The rest is boosting and drifting perfectly to the finish line. Crashbreaker Road Rage - Long Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 60 seconds Gold: 30 Takedowns Silver: 24 Takedowns Bronze: 18 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! The requirement for a gold medal is a whopping 30 takedowns, so do your best not to wreck so you can stay in the fight longer. ~O0==============={White Mountain}===============0O~ Traffic Attack - Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Gold: $600,000 Silver: $200,000 Bronze: $75,000 Starting time: 20.00 seconds Choose a super light vehicle with the fastest top speed so you can catch up to traffic if you crash or if there are breaks in the traffic. Plow through every vehicle in sight to build your bonus, rating, cash, time, and boost. Traffic is light, so don’t dilly-dally around curves and be sure to go for trick shots. ~O0==============={Central Route}===============0O~ Crash - Noodles of Fun Gold $7,500,000 Silver $5,500,000 Bronze $3,000,000 Follow exactly what the preview shows you, take the ramps and crash into the intersection. When you get a crashbreaker, go over the edge to block the lanes below. It is easiest to hit a vehicle into the bus from your jump, it gives you some room to slide near the edge. Make sure that everything is blocked off and the gold is yours. Crashbreaker Eliminator - Long Reverse Take the unmarked jump at the start (right) and continue through the course, taking the various alley shortcuts and the ones near the end to avoid the curves. Stay ahead of other racers and drive recklessly if they get close, go for takedowns. When it is down to the last two racers, make every effort for a takedown and don’t forget about your crashbreaker, should you need a last resort. Crashbreaker Road Rage - Long Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps N/A Timer: 60 seconds Gold: 18 Takedowns Silver: 24 Takedowns Bronze: 30 Takedowns Choose a light and fast vehicle so you can sustain a bit more damage before being totaled. When the event starts, follow the other racers and stay with the group, if one veers off into a shortcut or other route leave it be. You want to stay with multiple cars so your chances of quick takedowns are higher. Road Rage strategy is the same for all Road Rage events, stay with the other racers and take them out! The requirement for a gold medal is a whopping 30 takedowns, so do your best not to wreck so you can stay in the fight longer. ~O0==============={Eastern Bay}===============0O~ Crashbreaker Race - Long Forwards Weight Class: Light, Super Light Laps 2 Gold: 1st place Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Use the traffic, sharp curves, and obstacles to your advantage, scoring as many takedowns as you can when you get a chance. Use the two freeway shortcuts after the first tunnel (left) to stay ahead. The constant tunnels are an excellent place to wreck other racers, drive aggressively and boost constantly so you can stay in the lead! Crashbreaker Grand Prix 10 Weight Class: Light, Super Light Races: 4 Gold: 1st place (most points across the event) Silver: 2nd place Bronze: 3rd place Points per race: 1st 6 2nd 4 3rd 3 4th 2 5th 1 6th 0 Race 1: 2 laps - Eastern Bay Use the traffic, sharp curves, and obstacles to your advantage, scoring as many takedowns as you can when you get a chance. Use the two freeway shortcuts after the first tunnel (left) to stay ahead. The constant tunnels are an excellent place to wreck other racers, drive aggressively and boost constantly so you can stay in the lead! Race 2: 3 laps - Central Route Use the different shortcuts on the right hand side early on to gain an edge, while using the heavy traffic to takedown the other racers. The two shortcuts after the main city are excellent as well (one is the Dragon Shortcut). The Dragon shortcut takes you right to the finish line as always, so make sure you use it. Race 3: 1 lap - Eternal City Only one lap here so make it count; use boost and shortcuts while driving aggressively to take the lead and hold it. After the first curve take the shortcut chain on the right and follow it through the city. Take the other shortcuts in the middle of the city to avoid the curves and boost to the finish line once you hit the freeway. Race 4: 3 laps - Motor City The shortcuts here don’t give you much of a lead so rely on boosting and taking down opponents to stay in the lead. There is a ton of traffic here so use it to your advantage! ------------------ [BR9] Multiplayer ------------------ Xbox Live --------- Burnout Revenge supports online play and offers plenty of modes to choose from.
