I had bought an ego-C last month. Quite enjoy it and it's helping me quit smoking. Recommended it to a a guy. He came up to me today and thanked me for recommending it saying he's been breathing better and he's quitting now too. It was nice. Also had a discussion with a guy about the reasons I don't personally stand for the Pledge of Allegiance (No, I don't. No I will not argue the point with you.)and he turned out to be a veteran. He said my views on it were quite legitimate and he was okay with it. Thanked him for his service and didn't have an argument. So all around interesting day.
I've been trying to get a NES recently. I've wanted one for years and decided I'd ask for one for my birthday. Well about the only reasonable place to get them is ebay considering everywhere else they're an arm and a leg having to buy the console alone and then all the things needed to actually play it.
So I started trying to get one, and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. someone bids it up to like 50 dollars in the last 20 hours. I'm SO INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATED at this.
Out of what games I recently acquired, the only one I am REALLY satisfied with is Far Cry 3.
Far Cry is exactly what it said it would be and even more. So fun!
As for AC3 and Dishonored, well they were a little disappointing.
I felt like AC was not meant to be in the 1700s. The reloading of the guns was extremely tedious and the futuristic glimmers from the animus took away all hope of feeling REALLY in the 1700s. I am not extremely awed at the new combat system, personally I think it's stupid. I wasn't all dissatisfied with it however, it is still fairly fun and I think I'll keep playing it.
As for Dishonored, well it was a waste of time all together. I rarely use hate for a game, but Dishonored comes close. I think I, and others, were over-hyped about a game that offers nothing but tedious and repetitive missions and bad graphic quality.
