New Zealand is in a panic due to the lack... of Marmite

The only factory that makes it here was busted up in the Christchurch earthquake last year :/

Now stocks are running low throughout the country

Could we import marmite from England?

No. It is a different recipe, and would be as different as jam

Could we switch to the Australian vegemite?

No. It is too weak and smooth. We need something with a bit more bite back.

Sure, Marmite here looks like crude oil and some agree it tastes about the same... but for me it's black gold

Marmite on toast dipped in milk... mmmmm
