So to cut a long story short, Ms. Helper is a writer for BioWare, who unfortunately said in an interview that she didn't actually like playing games, and that she'd like an option in games to skip combat/gameplay to get to new parts of the story.
While this is an unfortunate thing for someone working in the games industry to say, the backlash from people all around the world was ridiculous, with some people going so far to issue death threats and making comments about her family. The source materiel goes in to more detail about said backlash, but I figured what the hell, I'd bring it up here and see if I'm the only one who thinks "grow up and move on".
Some have said that a writer who writes for video games should have an interest in playing games, just like someone writing a story/script for a movie should probably have an interest in movies, which makes sense, but at the same time I can't help but think the two don't necessarily go hand-in-hand.
