Haven't updated in a while.
posted 8/26/2013 7:17:39 AM

The last update left my Pathfinder group after their second session, we've been at it for a few months now and the story has progressed to a great extent. Furthermore, the second campaign has been going for nearly as long.

The party moving through the Skull and Shackles storyline (which include CHU users QueenNic and Fault2k) has progressed greatly. They mutinied against the oppressive first mate and boatswain of the Wormwood, stealing a merchant vessel they quickly refitted into a well armed pirate vessel "The Death & Taxes" a black ship with blood red sails who shows a figurehead of a deaths' reaper carrying a golden scythe in one hand, and a handful of gold in his other, one for every ship they've taken.

And taken ships they have. Their most recent booty included an ancient crystalline astrolabe which was uncovered to lead to an ancient gold laden shrine, but before they reached their destination, the astrolabe was stolen by a mysterious woman with a map tattooed on her back. Luckily, the party had the foresight to take notes and rubbings of the artifact.

They were now in a race to the island, as both captains now had maps. Upon reaching the cove, they found that they were late, but only just. The woman, revealed to be free captain Isabella 'Inkskin' Lock and her first mate, the pitfigter 'Knuckles' then faced off against the party. The encounter was cut short, however, when Inkskin and the party's favored NPC, Sandra Quin, Cleric of Besmara the pirate queen were both netted and quickly drug into the surrounding jungle.

Upon a mid-combat parlay, the party is now on their way to recover their cleric and deal with the future terms of the parlay.

Meanwhile, the second party, featuring CHU users Toasty and Fault2k, plus a half dozen other PCs (Who largely do sidequest to keep the main adventure party quick) have hunted down and systematically destroyed the organization of, and killed local bandit king "The Stag Lord". Upon the ashes of his fortress, they've founded the nation of Starkhaven. In addition to this, they've dealt with a war between the local kobold and mite tribes, fought against and with fey of both malicious and playful intent, cleared out a couple of ancient temples, tombs and castles and fled like babies from an island covered in HUNDREDS of will o' wisps (although nobody would blame any adventurer for doing so)

That's about it. If you're interested looking at the party's character sheets, checking out their art, or looking at other stats, you can find our game's wikis at the following links.

   PERSONAL COMMENT:

We are the music-makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems

With wonderful deathless ditties
We build up the world’s great cities.
And out of a fabulous story
We fashion art empire’s glory:
One man with a dream, at pleasure,
Shall go forth and conquer a crown;
And three with a new song’s measure
Can trample in empire down.

We, in the ages lying
In the buried past of the earth.
Built Nineveh with our sighing,
And Babel itself with our mirth;
And o’erthrew them with prophesying
To the old of the new world’s worth;
For each age is a dream that is dying,
Or one that is coming to birth.

Ode
