Cars 2 doesn't have a graphic as good as other authentic games of this generation, It's not even average. There is no special graphical elements in the game, everything is so average. Seems like the makers just wanted to make a playable game. However there are some positive points, For example the explosions scenes and other effects related to weapons and shootings are designed well. This matter caused that players don't only face a simple environments without a good quality. Generally this part is sort of weak.

One of the remarkable factor of this game is the gameplay. The gameplay is a combination of Crash Team Racing and Twisted Metal games. The game been successful on combining these two titles' elements. So It's exciting as well. But the important issue is in the beginning of the game, "The Tutorial sections". It's pretty boring. The tutorials are really basic. After passing this section and some races through them, You will enter the game. There are arcade races ahead of you with a good excitement. There are weapons sporadic through the roads, By collecting them you can shoot your opponents and drive them out. Remember your rivals can use them against you, too. The races have a general form, If you drive well you can win them all, So that's not so difficult. There isn't a variety of maps and you race in the same ones during the game, That become pretty boring after passing some hours of the game.

Sound doesn't have an acceptable quality, Just like many video games made based on movies. They can't grant the excitement sense to the player. Also there isn't many tracks through the game, The only part you can hear them is on the main menu of the game. There are musics while racing but sound of exploding and cars wipe it out. Dialogues and other sound effects through the racing is perfect, though. Another notable thing about this part is the cars have their dialogues and speak with each other while racing.

The Cars 2 is a very simple average racing game, But with exciting elements combined with game. It reminded me Crash Team Racing game, As I mentioned there are some elements of this game in the Cars 2. The makers didn't really cared about many parts, Maybe their indifference was a reason this title didn't succeed and goes among of unsuccessful games made based on Animations.
