Fallout 3 is the third game in the Fallout series developed by Bethesda Softworks that takes place in a post-apocolyptic America in the year 2277, 36 years after the setting of Fallout 2. In this installment, you play as an inhabitant of Vault 101, who escapes the vault to find your father, who also left the vault, but along the way, you discover a much larger plot. First off, the presentation of this game looks great. Bethesda did a really good job of capturing the feel of a post-apocolyptic wasteland. All of the environments, enemies, and other creatures, look well detailed, some of which, are capable of giving you an eerie feeling. Now, when it comes to gameplay, Fallout 3 is definitely different from other FPS/TPS games I have played before. While at some times, there is a little lag in the gameplay, it is forgivable as a game with a world as large as this can be expected to have a little bit of lag every now and than. Finally, when it comes to the lasting appeal of Fallout 3, I still play this game from time to time, and it has been years since its release in 2008. With the very unique storyline, all of the side quests, and the large environment to explore, Fallout 3 is a game that all will enjoy for hours on end. Overall, Fallout 3 is a game that I would definitely recommend picking up if you haven't already, especially the PC version for its numerous amounts of mods you can download and add to the game. I promise, you won't regret it. Presentation: 8/10 Gameplay: 8/10 Lasting Appeal: 9/10 OVERALL: 8/10 |
