Not like the title gives anything away, but Theme Park is all about building and managing... you guessed it... a Theme Park. As generic as the title is, it is nothing compared to how generic the game itself is. You are essentially handed an empty park, some cash, some objectives, and turned loose to do as you please with it. However, the objectives you are given are extremely unrealistic, the economy is terrible, and you spend more time trying to keep rides from exploding and negotiating pointless arguments then you spend actually running your park. The gameplay is simple enough, however you are constantly bombarded with problems. You have VERY little time to just sit back and have fun messing with your park and actually running it. Another annoying aspect is that once you place something, it's pretty much permanent. Unlike in other games of this nature, you can't really edit the placing of attractions much at all. And did I mention that your rides, attractions, and even shops can only require maintenance so many times before they literally blow up? And to add insult to injury, you can NEVER build something on that spot again? Enter the money situation. You are given little money, and the people in the world have even less. Your selection of rides and attractions is very very limited as well. There really are no good points to this game. Just one low moment after another. While the game is playable, it really is not worth your time or money. You'll want to skip this one. |
