The Legend of Zelda is one of Nintendo's most engaging franchises. Following the adventures of Link, a boy who is destined to become a hero. His main goal in each game is to save the princess Zelda from the clutches of the evil Ganondorf. The action/adventure/fantasy style of gameplay is something that Nintendo has taken and made completely unique. Link has been through all kinds of different cosmetic changes over the years including him being a small child in a few different games to his dark, mature look in this game. In this game, Ganondorf is trying to cover the land in Twilight. Zelda, in order to protect her people, submits to Ganondorf and awaits a rescuer. The gameplay is amazing. Whether roaming the land as a Wolf, or fighting off Ganondorf's hoardes, or charging across the fields on Epona, the action never stops and is engaging from beginning to end. The graphics are stellar. Seeing Link in this quality is really a treat. The scenery in the game is beautiful and just makes it that much more amazing. The soundtrack is (as always with a Zelda game) perfect. The difficulty level is fair. The learning curve will occasionally throw you a curveball but it's pretty steady. The only real drawback is that some of Link's special moves can be difficult to use as the controllers are lacking in sensitivity. Overall, one of the best Zelda offerings to date. If you own a Wii, you can't afford not to own this game. |
