||This game takes part in a futuristic, crime-ridden city known as Pacific City. As one of eight operatives from a law enforcement branch known as "The Agency", it is your job to stop three major gangs and their leaders through a series of missions, side-quests, and mini-games, while using a wide arsenal of weapons to help you do it. The agent you control is genetically enhanced to run faster, jump higher, and shoot more accurately then other Law Enforcement officers. This game has a somewhat cartoony look and feel to it, but it worked, and I really enjoyed the look. It was a different look and feel from other games I have played, and I enjoyed every minute of it. The city is filled with nice looking vehicles, weapons, citizens, and towering buildings that are just waiting to be jumped off of. And it looks great from a third-person perspective.
The gameplay for this game runs smoothly with little, to no glitches that I could see. I wasn't sure how the gunplay in this game would work out as it was nothing like I had seen in other third-person shooters like Gears Of War, but it worked out perfectly for this game. You can either aim manually with the right stick, or you can hold the left trigger to lock on to a single enemy, and the longer you stay locked onto the enemy without firing, the more accurate your shots become, which comes in handy for those long range shots. Overall, this gameplay was a nice change of pace from the normal shooters I usually play.
The length of this game also keeps this game going. The missions are a little repetative as most of them include you going to kill a high ranking gang member, but they never got boring to me for the simple fact that no two gang hideouts are the same. Each gang hideout has multiple ways you can enter, which adds to the already large replayability of the game. During my time with the game I was given a mission to take out a high ranking gang member that was held up in a garage owned by his gang. My probability of taking him out was 50% (your probability is displayed at the bottom of the screen as you get close to the hideout) so I thought for a minute and came up with my strategy to take down this guy. I drove to the highway down the street from the garage and stole a semi-truck, knowing it could take more damage then the sports car I was driving before. I crashed through the gates of the garage and ran down a couple of gang members before jumping out of the truck and tossing a couple grenades at two groups of enemies. I then focused my fire on another group of gang members, mowing them down with my Light Machine Gun. I turned to my left just in time to see a gang car coming straight at me. I dodged to the right and bashed the car with a melee attack, flipping it over. I took out the gane member in the car as he was climbing out, gunned down the leader, and completed the mission. My exact words after that were, "Wow... That was awesome!"
Overall, this game had great gameplay, and definitely has alot of replayability. This game brought me hours of entertainment, and only really got bored after playing the game for about 4-5 hours in a row. But, even then, I only stayed away for about 2 hours before I wanted to play the game again. This is a game that I would definitely check out if you like shooters, free-roam games, RPG's, and driving games. This is a game that I will definitely pick up and play again.
