Not in a voting competition in which each candidate is a single weapon

Well, Katana makes a lot of sense. Sharp, doesn't dull very fast compared to most other blades, and it's very durable if kept clean and sharpened between hordes.

I was considering Chainsaw and Sledgehammer for a while, but Sledgehammers are unwieldy and heavy, and on the off chance the head pops off you're left with a long stick. Chainsaw is similar, you have to go to the extra effort of scavenging for gasoline to power it, extra lubrication to keep the blade from sticking into the flesh of a headmuncher, and oil to keep the motor running good.

With a well-made Katana, you just need a clean rag and a whetstone or cutlery sharpener and you're good to go for ages to come so long as you stay diligent in sharpening and cleaning the blade in safe rooms and such.

Even baseball bats will bend (Metal) or break (wood) with enough trauma, and knives, knuckles, and a hatchet (Though not necessarily a fire-ax or similarly sized ax) all have a very short reach compared to a katana, making it easier to get bitten or surrounded.
    Yo.

Strong, durable, aims to disarm and disable instead of kill (I'm not much of a fan of killing). Provides the most fluid motion of movements and allows me to cover all sides more swiftly than the other weapons. The weapon discipline allows you better chance to use it with an improvised weapon when situation blocks your normal weapon.

Also has the longest range of all the above weapons when used correctly.

Katana's are all well and good when they're sharp, but once blunted by armour they become pretty useless... a mace or something like it however doesn't lose it's usefulness so easy.

I feel like the Axe is the most practical choice, but I'm going to say baseball bat instead.

Ive played baseball all my life so I know how to swing one, and no one's gonna pay much attention if you go into an convenience store or something with a bat in your hand. An axe on the other hand...

Well the same could apply to most melee weapons. They all age over time and their effectiveness is decreased. Give a man a katana and he'll slash for a day, teach a man how to keep his katana sharp and he'll slash for a lifetime.

Also: Neo's not a fan of killing
Also also: Did Latios just make a joke?

A glaive type weapon. would be a great weapon for the reasons stated above and it would add the killing element that would be required when facing a zombie horde.

Man's enemies are not demons, but human beings like himself

    Nature is not human hearted

    Knowing others is intelligence;
    knowing yourself is true wisdom.
Mastering others is strength; mastering yourself is true power

To see things in the seed, that is genius
