I have a Steelseries USB 7.1 sound card that came with my Siberia V2 headset. When I plug my headset with the 3.5mm jack, it works just fine but when I plug them in the usb card the mic doesn't work ****. When I go in to the sound options of my system, the microphone green line that is supposed to represent your voice level is at max without me talking and the mic doesn't register my voice. I have the latest drivers for it and I am running Win 7 64x.

I would love a fix or information on this because I can't find any.

Yuck on USB soundcard...

But check your mic settings via the taskbar or control panel, and make sure the mic that is set is indeed for the external USB card.

To make it easier disable your on board soundcard in the BIOS prior to loading into windows, this will force Windows to use what hardware for sound is available.

And also make sure the mic is not set for Digital.

I have tried everything you stated except the Bios part, I will try that right now.
