Since the last topic was pointlessly locked before I actually got a useful answer that will ACTUALLY help me, let's try this again with hopefully A. it not being locked, and B getting a useful answer.

----------------------------------

Simple question that I'm not sure how to ask.

How do I submit a guide for a game that I've written (once I've finished it probably tomorrow) if I am not an Author?

Do I have to submit it first to Admin's for consideration? Or do I have to apply for Author status before I can submit anything along the lines of a guide for a game?

I'm not sure a Guide really fits in on the Submit Cheats section, as it's not a cheat.

So, what IS the correct way to submit a guide as a non-author (if there is one)?

------------------------------------------

As Atal has suggested, there is an Author Signup page, thank you for the suggestion, but this to me is pointless to me and DID NOT help me at all for 2 reasons.

1. I already have an unlimited account, obviously, so I was asking how to submit a guide from here.

2. I DO NOT WANT another account, I am happy with this one, and incase it wasn't obvious on the author signup page, it is, strangely enough, a page to sign up for a NEW account with author status. I already have an Unlimited account, I have already PAID for my Unlimited account, I do not need a second, simply I am asking where or how, to submit a guide from this account or upgrade to author.

So to reiterate, I DO NOT WANT a new account, I was asking how I upload my first guide FROM THIS account without HAVING to sign up for a new one.

And I'm pretty sure it says on the TOC somewhere something about one account per customer?

And thank you to whoever locked the last thread before I got an answer that was actually useful to me.

That IS where you sign up to be an AUTHOR. You are not signing up for a new account, it just appears that way. Just fill in the info with your current account details.

Well you don't need to create a new account if you want to become an author. Your current account will get upgraded.

So just send the guide for author signup, use your current account, that is "FireflyPoi" when it asks for it: Link

Alternatively, you can send an email to Nevermore, having the guide attached. He is incharge of upgrading accounts to the author status. Here is his address:-

I see!

The page needs a little clarity if I'm honest, and should mention that existing members wishing to upgrade to author should simply use their current login details... >_>

From what it looks like, it's purely for signing up for a new account as an author.

Thanks to the both of you for your REAL help!

You won't be applying for a new account when you submit your guide via the author signup page. You'll be applying your current account for author status. Every author submission must be verified first by an administrator and it usually takes anywhere from a couple days to a couple weeks for your submission to be processed. You'll know whether or not your guide has been accepted if your account has been upgraded to AUTHOR and you can view the AUTHOR ADMIN page in your user dashboard.

Edit: looks like I was beaten to the punch... this itouch kinda sucks to type on

Hehehem thanks for the input though, would be a bit more understandable if it was made a little clearer on the author page that it isn't just for new account signups which is how it looks - thanks!
