For choosing who will go into the vent: choose either Legion or Tali (Tech experts)
For choosing first fire team leader: choose either Miranda, Jacob or Garrus.
For choosing second fire team leader: same as the 1st one.
For biotic field: choose either Jack or Samara.
For sending who to escort the surviving crew members: choose any loyal squad members, but for this I would suggest to choose Mordin, for some reason even he is loyal, he keep dies during fending off Collectors while Shepperd deals with Human-Reaper.
If you do not want to lose any of your squad members, they must be loyal, none loyal members, done essential Normandy upgrades (shield, weapon, armour).

Make sure you have Mordin escort the crew back to the Normandy too since he has a tendency to die otherwise. The only way 100% guarantee his survival is to send him back to the Normandy with the crew.
