I used to play in Normal mode most of the time otherwise hard mode.

I go with normal at the beginning.
As soon as I beat the game I try different difficulties.
There ain't no one on this earth i'd much rather be, because god dammit i'm glad that i'm me...

i don't like it when people use easy diff, cause i like it when its actually a challenge so i'll go with hard.

Depends on the game. For something like Splinter Cell, I'll play on Hard (Realistic Mode) right out of the box. But if this is a game I've never played before, such as Arkham Asylum, I'll start on a more civilized difficulty setting, and change it if it's too easy.

If I can't beat a game on normal I'd really wonder why I bought it...
