I am finding it quite impossible to beat pasternak on the "HARD" level. Ive tried every plane I own and every technique I know. Can anyone give me any pointers on how to kill this guy? Many thanks for any help you can provide.

I am frustrated that there are not cheats for xbox360. I have been trying to beat the 9th mission, with those super planes where the mother ship has fighters land in her belly. I shoot down all the planes except the mother ship, have plenty of time left and missles, and the ship is smoking..no fighters left, just that final ship. I crept up behind, aimed at the last target, and fired 200 missles at the one remaining target, until empty, then fired the machine gun as well, and time eventually ran out, and it takes you back to the start! I had a buddy play it at my house, and he got down to the same spot, got shot down by a missle, and they let him replay right at that point, and the ship was shot down, and he advanced, but not so for me. This makes me want to say, see ya game, its too time consuming a mission to not end as I deserved. I am looking for a cheat code, or some secret way to beat it on that mission. Now you tell me there is another impossible point. When they make a game like that, they drive away more fans, and it is pure stupidity! Maybe the software developers get a kick out of it, but is it worth potentially losing millions of dollars and lost fans. I'd fire them all! Thanks for any help you can be.

The best way I have found is to use (don't Laugh) the A-10A Thunderbolt 2 (Warthog)with the RCL Rocket Launcher as its special weapon. First pass, head on, I target the Aigaion with the RCL and straff the rockets down the left wing. I then Head for the nearest support craft and hit it with a full load of the RCL Rockets using the rudder to sweep the rockets left and right to cover most of its surface. This normally destroys it. I then head back to the Aigaion from behind it. At about this time it is normally launching the on-board fighters. I use the same rudder sweeping across the flight deck area. This normally takes out a few of the fighters and also quiet a few of the AA guns in that area. Then I just rotate between the support craft and the Target areas currently on the Aigaion. Once all support craft are gone and the Aigaion engines are wiped out I go to head-on runs at the Aigaion to get the last 2 areas (****pit or ****pit and Core depending on level). Each hit form the rockets does tremendous damage to every aircraft hit. Also I fire the main cannon (machine gun) all the time as I fly around. I've found the enemy fighters fly right into it and are destroyed because they are going faster than you. So on low lvls you can purposely just fly straight and take the fighters out this way. On the harder levels you have to be careful with this as they also do a lot of damage to you with each flyby. So I ignore them and they are incidental kills while I kill the support craft. Try it. It surprised me.
