As far as know(by experience) if the health related option is available for trainer, simply activating it will maximum your health and usually locked it there. Only huge life draining effect could cause some loses, pressing the option ahain will feed you up.

well first, select unknown initial value as scan type. then select first scan. now go back to game and hurt your self. and go back to cheat engine now. select decreased value as scan type. and select next scan. now if you get 1 address select it. but if you get more than 1. do it again and again. until you get 1 address. now select it. and change value to your desired number. you can find full training here: Link you can do the same thing with increased value scan type. but you need to heal your self if you want to use increased value type.
