I have the Retail version of the game. I have looked everywhere and scanned every screen and cannot see a reference to which version it is. I have run the update program and all it seems to do is launch the game!
I would be grateful if you could tell me how to find out what version I am running.

I think it may be mentioned at the .exe file. (Find the .exe-->(Right click)-->Properties.

Many thanks for your help, yes indeed, it was there - Ver 1010.
I'm not sure about all of the patches mentioned in the threads here but I certainly have been unable to obtain any. Not to worry, as long as the game runs I'm happy - I do only do single player and most patches are aimed at the multi platform.
