Put url tags on both end of the link.

[ url ] www.something.com [ /url ] With out the spaces

i tried this for my personal message thing under the account info, for my MGC card, but it didn't show up as a link or a picture

Actually you must put HTML codes in your personal comment.

Link, Take a look at it.
As well as upload your pic and select the HTML code for putting.
