Yeah I suspected that they'd allow you to run them on Ps3's. I mean considering the fact that Original Xbox games are compatible with the Xbox 360 models. Only unless you change the settings to which it allows you too.
What others have said, older models maybe. Only unless you give it a shot.
The new PlayStation 3 (slim) is made so that you can't run PS2 games on it. However, the older version of the PlayStation 3 had the ability to run some PS2 games. I don't think so now...which wasn't really a good business move imo.
Yeah older fat models could run some games but not all, as said it was a bad move by Sony.
Just hoping one day people will soon realise Sony products are not that great the way people think they are.
Sony is only interested in the money, if it means limiting you in terms of what you can do with your PS3 they will do it, they already screwed over the PS3 Fat users by removing the Linux OS install also.

Its an actual chip soldered to the mainboard not a PCI-e card
