tried it in the mod manager and doesn't work at all.

I will recommend Notepad++ and google and download ME2 Ini Fixer. Then you have what you need.

i am also trying to use a ini editor for this game and i just can not find the blasted place to put this.

Why they can't just have a single option 'unlockallachievements=0 or 1' would be more easier. lol

I think its in your (My Documents/bioware/Mass Effect 2) Some where! Usualy
