Hey everyone, I was thinking about writing a guide for Call of Duty 4. I know it's an older game, but I have every achievement for it including the Mile High Club. I didn't know if it'd be worth writing. I'd appreciate any feedback on pointers on how to write them. Sorry if a board has already been posted on this, if so please let me know, and you can remove this post completely. Thanks everyone!

Neo7 and myself have written tutorials on guide writing and they can be found here: Link. You can feel free to PM me if you want specific help. If you want, I can also give you my MSN.
Make them informative, well layed out (last thing people want is huge blocks of text), and do not use slang.
Like for example - "Then you go up the hill and you like turn to right or something and you shoot it".
Its bad as we dont know what hill, what initial direction to take, and shoot what?
Its also not so good for non-english speaking people as they may have basic english skills and something like that text I put in quotes would make it difficult for them to understand.
Start off simple, be basic, set out each section with the heart of the information only, once you are happy on each section etc then you can fill them up with more information, i.e adding to each section more information.
That way its quick to get your layout correct, and much easier to write/type the rest as you have a foundation to do more.

With the thing I'm wanting to do, I'll have a problem being simple. The game I want to write this on has really complex spots, and they are hard to talk on. What do you think I should do about this?

That's what I thought. I think that'll be the hardest part about writing this guide.
