    Alpha Protocol Save Editor
    ===========================

    Current Version: v1.3.1

This is probably the last patch.

Will Probably work with newer Version.

Should Work with both Steam And Retail!

    Using this Editor
    ------------------
Open your save with the editor, usually in:
    C:\Users\XXXX\Documents\Alpha Protocol\Checkpoints
    (XXXX is your windows profile)
Edit the values you want to change and click save to save the changes.

    Options
    --------

    Edit Rep Points
    Edit Player Level
    Edit Player AP Points
    Edit Player Money
    Edit Player Primary Skills

    Notes
    -------

NOTE: You may not have some of the characters! so the editor will lock the text box for the specific character.
(when you will unlock them in-game you can edit them in the editor)
NOTE 2: Unlocking the character in-game won't always unlock rep points! you may have to change their rep on you in-game first! (or meet them first in a talk)
NOTE 3: Changing Primary Skills is very buggy! Use it with your own risk!
***NOTE 4***: use Logical numbers when you edit your character! I'm not responsible if the game will crash or damage has been made to your save-game due to misuse!

    Change Log

Looking forward to it, but from the description, I guess changing specializations isn't on the priority list anymore?

Not more than three, admittedly; even screwing around with the .ini files didn't unlock the last five ranks for any skills, even after setting 'nMaxSelectedSkillsForValidSpecializationConfiguration' to 9 in APUI.ini.

Sure, you could add more than three specializations, but any more than that, and all spec'd skills were capped at 10 ranks.

    Oh well.

P.S.: If you're still taking requests, is there any hope of adding/removing perks in a future version?

Granted, it's going to screw around with the file size/checksums (if applicable) something fierce, but I was just wondering.
Now, return to the void, in the midst of this infinite light!

I have so far no success in enabling more then 3 specialization skills.

If any one find out how I would be able to add it to the editor.

I probably can add and remove perks (it seems they are already editable in the save) but not sure if they work right, and I do not have time right now to screw with it too much... (maybe I'm looking at something else in the game that is being called perk as well and it is not the same perks you want me to change)

I will promise one thing: when I will have time I will look for the changing perks and skills more to the source, but right now I do not have sufficient time to do so.

try to enjoy what I have done so far and if I will get more support from more people I will probably release more updates for this editor but it seems that this game is dead/not popular. That is why I'm not going to update in the near future.

I know that this game has been getting mediocre reviews, and I agree with a lot of what the reviewers have been saying in terms of graphics, bugs, lack of choices in gameplay, etc. But you know what? I am *enjoying* the game and having a lot of fun with it. And I think a lot of other people are too.

Also, a big "thank you" for putting this editor together - it is very much appreciated.

I just wanted to say thank you very much for making this savegame editor. Many people (including myself) had issues getting the trainer to work, and this save game editor does 99% of what I would have used the trainer for anyway.

    Thank you so very much.

I love AP as a game...

Is it a little short, well in terms of cities yes but it does have a "The Bourne Identity" feel.

As for the bugs I have found very few and as fo choices well there are some issues in that they do not link up that well between cities apprently if you do them in a certain order but for the most part the choices , weapon options and customization of gear just rocks.

I just want AP 2 to be twice as long and have a slicked up splinter cell sam fisher look with the core parts of AP 1 ... for one fantasic game.

Has anyone done the "crime buster achivement" - its make up with alpha protocol and take down halbech .. although it seems PC versions dont have PS3 trophies/360 achivements well not ony my steam version

I discovered the easy way to edit save games with a hex editor. If you don't wish to wait, you can get XVI32 (free hex editor) and just search for the string "Money" with case sensitive off, then change the hex value that is currently set to 0F423F to get $999999.
